CrimeRe: Yahoo Boy High On Colos Drowns In A Drum In His Apartment by paveinc(m): 1:55pm On Jul 13
Yes I agree with you on autopsy should be done ascertain the cause of death,I am not making reference to door locks with key, check properly it was bolted from the inside, there is no way one can bolt the door from the outside..
kiddaz:
If the door was locked from inside and the windows has burglary protection and there's no way the ceiling can be opened. If the autopsy proves no foul play then it's what it is. Do you even know a door can be locked from outside while the keys are inside? Try am with your door, leave the keys in from inside and use the spare to lock it outside. You just slide it in gently not forcefully and not all the way through No let men find you. That door confirmation doesn't hold much water anymore. An autopsy is very important
CrimeRe: Yahoo Boy High On Colos Drowns In A Drum In His Apartment by paveinc(m): 12:23pm On Jul 13
The door was locked from the inside, how did assumed killer leave the apartment, after committing the crime , I heard from a woman asking them to confirm if the door was locked from the inside..
kiddaz:
Mtcheew... person wey dem done unalive since keep upside down for drum. That small drum will turn if truly he succeeded in entering the drum perfectly like that. Once he start struggling the drum will tilt and at worst he break a leg. If he was a child I would understand, not a full grown adult whose legs were very much visible outside. To clear the doubt an autopsy should be done. Person really drown water go full him lungs but if he was killed before been thrown in the water his lungs wouldn't be holding water. And also his body should be properly examined for foul play. This country dem sabi conclude the cause of death too much

It's just very unfortunate bro..
Angelfrost:
Criminals also exist abroad...! Yet, house rents stay the same.

Nigerians are just a special breed of greedy scum, and I'm not even talking about the useless leaders.

We just like to take advantage of everything and everyone, starting from the leaders creating or causing high costs of building materials, down to house owners that spike rents for no good reasons.

Any small thing, we move prices up.
PoliticsRe: Court Rejects El-rufai’s Fresh Bail Bid Over Disputed Medical Report by paveinc(m): 8:11am On Jul 03
Well said..
dgr8truth:
Many Nigerians are reacting to this case based on political loyalty rather than on principle. Some are pleased with El-Rufai's incarceration because they believe he is no longer aligned with their preferred political camp. Others are defending him because they see him as someone fighting against their perceived political opponents. This is a dangerous way to view issues in a constitutional democracy.

We should not judge cases through the lens of political affiliation or personal sentiments. Instead, every matter should be examined on its merits, with one fundamental question in mind: **Is the rule of law being respected?** That should be the concern of every Nigerian, regardless of who is involved.

Today it is El-Rufai. Tomorrow it could be someone else. One day, it could even be you or me. When we celebrate the erosion of due process simply because it affects someone we dislike, we create a precedent that can eventually be used against everyone.

The case of Dasuki remains a reminder of why this principle matters. Regardless of anyone's opinion about him, prolonged incarceration without due process, trial, or conviction raised serious concerns about respect for the rule of law. Whether it was Dasuki yesterday, El-Rufai today, or another public figure tomorrow, the standard must remain the same. Justice should never depend on the identity of the accused or the political interests of those in power.

The rule of law exists to ensure fairness, protect fundamental rights, prevent arbitrary use of state power, and guarantee that justice is administered according to established legal procedures. It is one of the strongest safeguards against oppression and abuse of power.

This does not mean that anyone accused of wrongdoing should be above the law. If there is credible evidence against any individual, they should be investigated and prosecuted. However, the process must be lawful, transparent, and fair. The rights guaranteed by the Constitution should not be sacrificed for political convenience or public applause.

As citizens, we should resist applauding actions that undermine legal principles simply because they target people we disagree with. If we normalize the selective application of justice, we gradually weaken the institutions that protect us all. History has repeatedly shown that governments that disregard due process in pursuit of political objectives often become increasingly authoritarian.

A nation is not judged by how it treats those who are popular or politically aligned with those in power, but by how faithfully it upholds justice, even for those who are unpopular. The rule of law is not meant to protect only our friends; it exists to protect everyone. When we defend it consistently, we defend our own freedoms as well.

[I share the same thought and vision with you,we celebrate mediocrity a lot in this part of the world..quote author=abuzz33 post=137152937]

That's not even their capital. Google lilongwe. We tend to talk too much in Nigeria and boast with our mediocrity. Yet the facts of our underperformance are stark and evident. Nigerian government can't organize electricity, its airline is dead, its refineries comatose, its telecom bankrupted, its postal service a mockery, its roads death traps, its schools cattle sheds.

Anambra built a government house which it promotes as the single greatest achievement of the incumbent governor. A collection of basic looking buildings is seen as a symbol of achievement not something complex and awe inspiring.

It builds standard roads and trumpets this as an achievement. Not as a responsibility.

Its October go and look at Harare and Pretoria on Google Images. The beautifully laid out streets are lined by purple flowering jacaranda trees that bloom in October. That's foresight, design.

Go ask what happened to the flame trees planted by the colonialists along some of the roads in Onitsha or the mango trees planted along old road. Old Enugu road is now defined by primitive markets spilling onto the streets and thousands of keke and shuttles weaving carelessly down it. No single bus stop. No single governor has thought of running a public bus service connecting Awka to Onitsha via all the adjoining towns to make movement easy and comfortable.

Cities should not be village extensions. Three quarters of our cities are unpaved, lack proper drainage and signage. Obiano at least tried to give streets sign posts but what happened to them? Another administration claiming circular economy allowed abokis to go on a rampage with carts singing iron kwandem. Most of those sign posts are now nowhere to be seen. Sold off by a poor gang allowed to roam wild by government.

Other people choose order and law not groveling in chaos and filth and calling that civilization. India is a bad model for anyone but that accommodation of anyhowness is what Nigeria has gravitate towards.

For us as igbos the tragedy is that Nigeria is almost certainly on its way out. FAAC is pathetically tiny for a nation of 240m. Anambra a state of 6-8m has a budget per capita of less than $40 per person or 60,000 naira per person. Therefore how public money is spent matters tremendously.[/quote]

PoliticsRe: Gale Of Defection: What Really Is Wrong With The PDP? by paveinc(m): 7:06am On May 17, 2025
Thats the basic reason,we have money bags as politicians,no ideology..quote author=malali post=135398805]Let’s not sugarcoat it, PDP isn’t inherently flawed, but it has become politically malnourished after a full decade of APC rule, where access to state machinery, federal contracts, and patronage networks have been ruthlessly monopolized.

10 Years Without Government Access
In Nigerian political calculus, that’s an eternity. Many so-called “honorables” simply cannot sustain relevance, affluence, or influence without the intravenous drip of federal money, padded budgets, and government-sponsored ‘errands.’

Fuel at ₦900, Dollar at ₦1600
This isn’t just economic hardship—it’s systemic deconstruction. Even well-run private businesses are bleeding to death. What chance does an “Excellency” who thrives on constituency allowances, inflated borehole contracts, and photo-ops have?

Asiwaju is using the carrot and stick method, he will starve the hungry weak ones and ask EFCC to pay a visit to the wealthy strong minded ones.

The Coming Defection Avalanche
Watch closely: mass defections will increase, not because of ideological shifts, but out of raw political survival. Like starved lions, they will follow the scent of blood, even if it leads them into enemy territory.

The Real Reform: Demote the Legislature
Until being a Senator or Rep becomes a part-time civic duty (not a multi-billion Naira career), Nigeria’s democracy will continue to operate like an oil-thirsty cartel. Make it part-time, cut the convoy, remove the immunity, and the wheat will separate from the chaff real quick.

Whatever you buy online, always check the product specification and customer reviews (if any). Saves a lot of headaches. I just checked the specs of that particular "suitcase" on my Jumia app. It was referred to as a candy box, the dimensions are 76*52*38mm! No reviews on it yet but the specs are enough for any prospective buyer to flee. So in a way, it's not the store's fault, it's the buyer's.
