I agree with B.George in this. Focus more on developing your region through industries & structures.

calm down, this is lagos and they are always committed to doing quality projects..tho they might embezzle small change like others.

Na truck fall am as the truck height is much higher
That is why there should be factors(such as height of vehicle, spanning and deflection, live load etc) considered when designing structures. This is not good for a state with bragging rights like lagos.

You don’t know the patience’s religious stance but you assume you are still in Nigeria where prayer is the only glimpse of hope of most of her citizens. The disciplinary action was harsh but I hope other can learn. Leave Nigeria and it’s belief when u set out to Europe and the America.

OlawaleBammie:
Ok.....

Oseni is from the opposition party by proxy, so what do u expect?? grin

Wait ooh, are some people fuuls??

Let reason it together.

Me like this I am not a supporter of Peter Obi, but let assume he had won and he gave me the opportunity to serve my nation under him, would I reject it just because he's not my preferred candidate??

No na..no na, that is hatred, blind hatred.

If I am given the opportunity to serve my nation by an opposition (ruling) party I will never decline it cus me declining it is tantamount to doing my nation a great disservice cus I believe I have one or two thing to offer my country no matter under whom I am serving.

But well, bn a university graduate doesn't mean u re sensible to know that, hate and bile don give many people heavy heart, it has beclouded some people to the point that they will always think no one does it better than them, even if what they have to offer is a failure.
The basic reason you will want to “serve your nation” is because you know how political positions are in Nigeria, very lucrative. If political positions weren’t as lucrative as it is today, many wouldn’t want to go in that direction especially if there are severe penalty for public office offenders like public execution.

Ginaz:
I moved into a new neighbourhood and i stay alone. Luckily I came across my childhood friend one fateful day on my way to fill up my cooking gas.

we exchanged contact, I found out we live closed to each other. she now has 6kids with her husband, the eldest child being 13yrs old.

As formal friends and now neighbours I tried to assist her with whatever little I could as they're not doing so great in financially.

I noticed whenever I enter her house, she's somewhat uneasy as she would apologized for the messy state of her house, the dirty floor , the roughness of the building which i don't even care to notice as I am not judging her.

I reduced my entrance into her house due to the fact I didnt want her to feel bad about whatever she might be thinking of her house. it was making feel uncomfortable to hear such complains too.

I usually send her kids on errands, which I give them monetary compensations. I called her on phone one day to send her second daughter to me that I wanna send her on an errand, she replied yes she would but I didn't see the daughter.

I was cooking rice, the kids came. I dished for them and I asked the daughter why she refused to come see me the day I sent for her. she told me it was her mother who told her not to come.

I was shocked ! if her mother didn't want me to send her on a errand she could have told me. I felt like I was disturbing her kids so I blocked her number and stop sending the kids message to run for me.

now she has been calling me but I've refused to answer her calls. am I wrong in wanting to end the friendship?

My only issue is how frequent you sent them on errands. She(their mum) felt it was getting too much hence her action. You probably feel entitled to do it(send them on errands) because of the financial aid you give to the woman.

Wanting to end your relationship with her is totally up to you, reasons valid or not.

1. The first is a miss on your part. You for sit her down, look her in the eye, and tell her pop and plain that you do not mind the mess at all, and so she should stop complaining about it. undecided

2. I take offense with you sending her kids on errands. Sending them with a message to their own mother, maybe, but sending them on your own personal errands, no. undecided

During his campaign, he said on more than one occasion that he will continue from where Buhari stopped. At least that is one campaign promise he fulfilled.

For the record, what happened in 2023 wasn’t a General Election but a Regional Selection.

React typescript, sass CSS, node express, MongoDb to collect visitors count, AOS, Nodemailer for email messaging. Deployed the simple backend with AWS lambda and the frontend on AWS amplify.

U know stuff like this portfolio thing, when you show it to non-techs, they praise you and you feel on top of the world but when you bring it to fellow Devs, they see your error and possibly help you get better. My purpose of bringing it here is to get constructive criticism not even praise.

I am currently considering a job opportunity with QNET. But where i have issue is about the pay.

I was told that no basic salary. I will be paid base on my performance i.e. sales i am able to make as it's a direct sales role. Moreso, i live in one of the Norther states and i will need to travel to the job location in the south west.

My fear, what if i am unable to meet the performance benchmark? How do i cope in a far away location?

Pls, advise.

My advise is to read on this

Lagos as a city and Lagos as a state are different, alright.

Abuja being the Capital of Nigeria isn’t a state but a city. You should learn to learn.

There's literally nothing in Abuja to start comparing it with Lagos.
I disagree with the statement only the central part of Abuja is developed. Abuja landmass and Lagos land mass isn’t same, FCT still have 40% of its land mass undeveloped.

He further told the Governor, “We have a programme called Highway Development Management Initiative (HDMI) and it allows states and other private investors to engage with the Federal Government either to take over a fully constructed road to toll and maintain it in partnership with FG or take a brand new road and reconstruct it and toll it under laid down agreement.

If this initiative comes to reality, imagine for every 40km drive there is a toll at each point. It would be unbearable for motorist.
