Keep to it. I am not here to regiment how you think or make use of the Bible. What you can't accept don't force others to admit or accept. The golden rule is still alive and kicking.

One shoe size don't fit Achorladey and Peacecore. There must be individual differences. Our fingers are not equal. Variety is the spice of life. What some enjoy quietly is what others get fascinated by shouting.
Good for them then but nothing should happen to my religion grin

You cannot deny the various forms in which preaching of the good news had been carried out over years, centuries and millennium have had various impacts. Including using SLAVERY to advance the preaching work.

Shouting in public spaces or preaching in marketplace is giving you a lot to worry about. cheesy grin cheesy grin grin

You make me laugh. Stop chasing shadows and face reality. Some use slavery of others to advance preaching the good news you are lamenting about shouting in public places.
It's their business, let them continue but no longer in Onitsha market because Soludo has his eyes opened.

Does preaching publicly by Catholic have impact?

Do other religious denominations not catholic preach publicly even when they shout or people say they are shouting?

Jesus is bigger than Christianity. When they discredit Jesus what is Christianity compared to that ehn? Face reality and stop chasing shadows.

Like one person use to say leave wetin dem write for motor body make you enter motor as long as you reach your destination. You are creating unnecessary distractions to something far bigger than this. cheesy grin grin grin grin

See what Paul wrote here.

It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill. 16 The latter do so out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. 17 The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains. 18 But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice.

You see the shadows you are chasing instead of facing reality.

I don't want your ideology of letters. Follow the spirit. The spirit is the one setting people free not your ideology.

Ka gani?
I know where to go when I need the word. My ideology is not meant to be a shackle but a dignity restorator.

There is one thing most people failed to understand about John 3:16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. ‭John 3:16 NIV‬

God sent Jesus to TEACH us how to do His will so whoever thinks he knows how to do God's will differently from what Jesus taught is committing a grievous blunder.
How?
Such a person doesn't believe that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God through whom we can please God well! John 14:6 undecided
Let them keep playing nah. They've already established their own way of life outside the one Jesus instructed.

You can imagine. The intention of the thread coming into light. Just say you don't like how people preach or make proclamation about the good news along the roadsides, market places.

Nowhere in the Bible defines every detail how preaching publicly is to be done. Let that sink in first before you start preaching LEGALISM as doctrines. Has preaching unregimented publicly impacted lives? 100% YES.
grin grin no agenda here. I'm just saying what they're up to sha grin And as far as I know people don't listen even me.

Rather than just simply admit you don't like people preaching in public places the way they do it, you want to shoehorn your ideas and propaganda of what preaching publicly should be when you cannot even use one bible verse to tell us how Paul did it inside marketplaces.

Do Jesus and apostles preach publicly?

Yes is the answer

Do Jesus and the apostles public preaching had impact?

Yes is the answer.

Your thread is now looking for means to define what Public preaching means not the impact. cheesy grin grin
This is my point. I'm not an extremist. Have you ever seen a reverend father, Rev. Sister or even Imam preaching in that manner? Abeg we need to respect the dignity of this wonderful religion handed down to us by Christ.

What does the bible say?

Acts 22: 15
For you are to be his witness, telling everyone what you have seen and heard.

Mattew 24: 14
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

Matthew 28:19-20
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Acts 1: 8
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

The goal of preaching the gospel is to witness. The role of man is to accept or reject the message. Shalom!
You're right, and I'm not against preaching the gospel but the manner at which they do it looks somehow.

Sometimes it's good to read what goes on around you.

Do Kumuyi, Adeboye, Oyedepo, Mouka, Olukoya and Oyakilome goes to streets and buses to preach?
How come we are seeing what they said inside their churches on the Internet?

God's organization called the first part of our meeting on Sundays:
"Public Talk"
Why?
Because that's when we preach what our Master Lord and King Christ Jesus revealed to us in the secret not on the streets! wink
The public there in the bible does mean market places rather it was the gathering of the followers of Christ. And the apostles had targets.

In revelation, there are two witnesses preaching the gospel and they did it on the street.

Now it is, is it by shouting indiscriminately. What is your business with shouting indiscriminately. You call what others are doing shouting indiscriminately. grin cheesy cheesy cheesy

When a town crier enters your community, they come into your sitting room to deliver the message of the baale or king. I don't understand.

Do the apostles preach publicly? Yes they did. Do they preach in marketplaces? Yes they did. How they do it shouting, whispering, crying or dancing is none of your business from here. Your thread title was about it having an impact? Yes, many who listened him publicly later invited him to their homes for more and by so doing some were converted.

You have lost your way in your own thread

Does not remove the fact that they preach publicly and in marketplace.

Does not mean they didn't preach publicly and it was effective.

I hold a bell and raised my voice using a microphone and speaker to tell you about a mobile device that will be of benefit to you in the middle of the marketplace or public spaces. To you Peacecore it is shouting indiscriminately, to others I am making announcement, advertising or as it were proclamation about something. In no time you see people approaching me to know about what you call indiscriminate shouting or noisemaking.

Peacecore is not a toddler, are you? grin grin cheesy
Go and also carry your loud speaker around the hospital beds and hear people reaction if you believe you can shout everywhere.

I will always be ahead of you because i'm using the full strength of the scriptures to back whatever i say while you are just seeking a counter argument.
So sit back and watch how sincere and honest hearted individuals grasp the truth! John 8:32
There's always a time and a place for everything. You raise the sound of a bed to announce your goods in the market is fine because that's the right place to do it. My point is that they should go to their churches or visit homes not market where there already enough noise and no one listens. Can you go to hospital and raise it before know you will be disturbing patience. You should also tell me why they collect offerings.

You should ask yourself if Jesus put image into consideration when he gave that order. Jesus n his Apostles preached in diverse environment
They only preached when they were able to gather audience's attention. They never shouted along the market places, roadsides. He always had his listeners following and listening to him, and that's why you here ' Jesus said to the crowd, Peter, Paul et al said to the congregation/people '. Besides they never asked for offering in the market/roadsides.
