Yar Adua/North had 3 years from 2007 to 2010 when Yar Adua died
Jonathan/ South had 4 years from 2011 to 2015.
Buhari/North had 8 years from 2015 to 2023.
Tinubu/South is having 4 years from 2023 to 2027.

The solution in power sharing is this.
Both the South and North have had 8 complete years under Obasanjo and Buhari
Both North and South would have had a single tenure each under Yar Adua and Jonathan.
A Southerner is currently in power. So it wont be any cheating if a Northerner runs for just one term to complete Yar Adua's second term and equate the North and South terms as President. So Atiku should run with Obi. He governs for 4 years and the circle of rotation between South and North which began in 1999 will kick start afresh with a Southerner after the North would have balanced their remaining 4 years tenure that Yar Adua's death left open.
