They can do whatever they want, but it does not change the fact that SIM remains the governor. This illegality will undoubtedly be challenged in court. They may continue bribing judges to get their way, but there will come a point when the people can no longer tolerate it, and they will react. It is ironic that some continue to take sides with corrupt politicians eventually, the consequences will affect everyone.
All of them are corrupt including the Fubara u r sainting. He is a product of corruption and remain corrupt so that's not a reason. He took up a foolish fight and people in this NL were boasting how Tinubu can't try nonsense in Rivers. We warned them to calm down buh they paid deaf ear.

Fubara remains the elected governor of Rivers state. When normalcy eventually returns there, he will remain governor and any talk of impeachment will have disappeared.

That’s what the state of emergency is expected to achieve. If within six months, all parties still are disagreeing, then a further six months can be declared.

The President does not have the constitutional power to remove the state governor. So for the fellow up there who addressed Fubara as “ex”, he needs to learn. Fubara is not an ex governor.

I think the losers here are Wike’s boys. Do not forget that they started the impeachment move against Fubara, within three months of their resumption as legislators. When the battle started, Fubara stopped all their payments. In all, they have not sat for more than six months, if we do the counting. They lost time, they lost resources and now they will lose more time and resources, as their suspension will last until September or so.

Wike equally has lost. He’s idea of impeaching Fubara has been dealt a blow by Tinubu. Fubara will return in six months to continue as the governor. Wike’s plan failed. He will have to wait until 2027 to change Fubara. I do not think that it will work for him anymore, as other political gladiators will step in to show their interests. I also do not expect PDP to sit on the fence over this.

The biggest losers until today have been the citizens. Voting for the wrong leaders has its consequences.

This is a sad and unfortunate turn of event. The constitutionality of the suspension of the governor is also questionable as the constitution doesn’t provide for the appointment of an administrator even in emergency situations. Again, declaration of emergency rule requires the approval of 2/3 of the National Assembly.

Whatever the case, it is my hope that constitutional order will be restored to Rivers State as soon as possible. I wish the new administrator all the best as he settles down to restore peace in the state.

THE ACTUAL GAME PLAN OF AMAEWHULE & CO AND GOV FUBARA STRATEGIC APPROACH

By Ugochukwu Tonye Oputa

The Letter of Notice of Allegations of Gross Misconduct that made it online today is a move that became necessary at this time given that the Governor had failed to act within their estimated expectations.

Recall that before the Supreme Court Judgment, all actions of the Governor were duly backed up by court orders. The Governor relied on instructions of the court to work with the Oko Jumbo Led Assembly and that order remained valid until it was set aside by a higher court.

Every litigation process has an end and the Supreme Court being the Apex court gave a ruling and asked that the Governor represent the 2025 budget and recognize the Amaewhule-led Assembly as the legitimate house of Assembly.

What the Wike camp didn’t expect was the Governor’s tact in swiftly obliging to all orders of the Supreme Court.

They began with the 48 hours ultimatum and expected the Governor to ignore however, the Governor and his strategic team wrote a letter to the State House of Assembly notifying them that they were yet to receive the said letter that had the ultimatum, but rather saw soft copies of it online and that however, the Governor was awaiting the Certified True Copy of the Judgment so he can implement swiftly.

All they were looking for was a justified ground to base their actions for impeachment.

They had hoped that a more tangible misconduct would be that of the Governor failing to obey the Supreme Court judgment and representing the budget or blatantly ignoring their letter.

The Governor even personally showed up at the Assembly Quarters to present the Budget but was locked out.

The Governor then wrote again to the Assembly communicating his willingness to present the budget at a given time or any time convenient for them in March.

From asking LGA Chairmen to step down to Showing up to present the budget, the Governor’s early moves disrupted their calculations.

One can categorically state that the Governor hasn’t gone contrary to the Law after the Supreme Court Judgement.

It is also worthy of noting that previous actions of the governor were carried out by orders of the court be it right or wrong. Where there was a contrary judgment, the case was pursued up to the Supreme Court, and upon a ruling, the Governor has now formally submitted to the new order setting aside the old one he worked with.

So you’d ask if they know this, why are they going ahead with this notice?

The answer is simple, to induce chaos!

It’s just like missing your target that you're supposed to shoot and shoot upwards so the loud noise can rattle him wherever he is.

The second reason is to add more aces for them to negotiate with on the negotiation board.

As for impeachment, while it is within their constitutional right to attempt it, they know the political blunder of attempting a move when you barely hold the aces.

Everything in warfare is strategy and the Governor is getting it right!

The Judiciary, especially the Chief Judge of the State is the main pointman when it comes to the impeachment of the Governor. For this impeachment to succeed, the 27 lawmakers must first impeach and remove the Chief Judge from office, they started something along that line by opening an investigation into Age falsification by him, but they will be fighting too many wars on many fronts.

Within two weeks, the lawmaker will have to vote on a motion to investigate these allegations in their impeachment motion, if that debate passed by a 2/3 majority, it will be forwarded to the Chief Judge of the State, who will appoint a seven persons panels and none of them can be public servants, legislators, etc...if this panel finds that these allegations are not proven, the impeachment dies.

The final impeachment vote by a 2/3 majority can only take place if the panel setup by the Chief Judge finds that the allegations are proven and guess what, the Chief Judge is Furbara's staunch backer.
he'll be removed without this your processes n he'll be reinstated by d court by 2028.

That's dead on arrival as the Rivers State Chief Judge who is responsible for constituting the panel of enquiry will return a no-guilty verdict hence the RSHASS throwing the first jab at him by directing the DSS to probe him on age falsification when the NBC and Judiciary are the only body empowered for such.

The plot was badly written and had no public support. The evil the Supreme Court made will haunt the country for the foreseeable future.
You'll explain taya in the court when with the help of police and DSS he's pushed away. The court will restore him but 2028.

🛑 Opinion By Obakpee Isaac Osaheni .

How Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara Outsmarted Nyesom Ezenwo Wike - CON, GSSRS and his 27 Lawmakers by simply Obeying the Supreme court Judgement that was indeed in favour of Wike and his lawmakers;- A Master stroke. | Awake Now Tv

But The Yorubas supporting Wike's "state-capture" moves are too daft to know this.

Now, Walk with me!

So on what ground do they now impeach a Governor who have adhered to the rulings of the supreme court and the law? On the ground that the Governor refuses to allow wike to control the Resources of Rivers state & there IGR, like Tinubu did in Lagos for decades or what??

Wike Instructing his 27 lawmakers to Lock Fubara out of the Rivers state House of Assembly Complex in order to prevent Fubara from presenting the Budget to them as instructed by the supreme court is Not only another own goal to the Wike-led faction but it also signifies the obstruction of the implimentation of justice ordered by the supreme court. That itself is a treasonable offence.

Lawmakers loyal to Nyesom Wike believed they had Governor Siminalayi Fubara trapped. Their strategy was straightforward: push him to his limits, provoke an emotional response, and create a scenario that would justify either his impeachment or declaring a state of emergency in Rivers State. However, Fubara managed to outsmart them.

Rather than resisting or reacting impulsively, he opted for a different strategy. He accepted the Supreme Court's ruling without any objections and even agreed to re-present the budget to the House led by Amaewhule. This calculated move took his opponents by surprise.

In a twist of irony, the same lawmakers who had previously imposed a strict 48-hour ultimatum on him for presenting the budget are now sidestepping it.

They anticipated he would refuse, but his compliance left them without a plan.

With no options left, they chose to go on recess without a scheduled return date, thereby revealing their own vulnerability and entrapment.

When some people accused Fubara of weakness, they misjudged him. Although the Supreme Court's decision appeared to favor Wike’s faction, however Fubara ingeniously turned it into a strength. By publicly agreeing with their demand for compliance, he exposed their insincerity.

Now they are reluctant for him to present the budget, contradicting their previous position.

Unlike a typical Nigerian governor who might respond with aggression, Fubara has taken a different route. As the Chief Security Officer of Rivers State, he recognizes that his foremost responsibility is to uphold peace and safeguard lives. By not escalating tensions, he has garnered public support and deftly navigated the political traps set for him.

Ultimately, Fubara has emerged as a leader who anticipates multiple moves ahead. His composed and strategic demeanor not only keeps Rivers State secure but is also gradually undermining the power struggle against him.
Hold these evidences tight. It'll be needed in the court when the police pushes him away

Good! Buh why can a gov who said that he was waiting for a certified copy implement some of the judgement (directing the LG chairmen to vacate office and fixing another election without re-presenting the budget? Does that make sense to you? Why should he demolish the assembly without the knowledge of the duly elected speaker? Was there a complain from the assembly members? If FG has hand in his matter, forget it he's gone. He'll be impeached with or without the state Chief Judge, and he'll be asked to go to court in which the case will last till 2028.
