FashionFashion Faux Pas by pearlhapi(op): 7:01pm On Aug 12, 2012
This is a percieved error in fashion•and most of these errors are made knowingly or unknowingly.these are the few I have been able to come up with and more are welcome
1.Letting ones botecrack show.÷this is one very embarrasing thing to get ones self into.imagine that your pen fell to the ground and in the process of picking it up d deep lines dat cuts through your back and anus is exposed to the eyes of everyone•it is a fashion faux pas

2•wearing a shoe with one of your toe outside÷many ladies do this and its a fashion No No!if your shoes are too tight or small give them out than wearin them and struggling to tuck in one of your toe which eventually comes out•

3•panty lines on trouser÷self explanatory•it is a fashion No No•

4÷wearing busy t_shirts÷eg too much designs colours and absurd languages÷imagine wearing a tshirt with an inscription,KISS ME FAST and the hosts of them•it goes along way to affect how people would look at and adress you•

5•avoid jumpy T_shirts÷its either they are short or long•

6•avoid pants[trousers]that are too long or too short•

7•do not match too much colours÷this applies mostly to the ladies•try as much as you can to look simple but gorgeous•

8•for d boys÷your belt should match your pants[trousers]

9•dress for the season÷imagine wearing a sweater or a tuttle neck top or shirt on a sunny weather and probably matching it with a face cap or a winter hat?scary and its a fashion NO No
10•avoid colour blocking÷if you must do it let it make sense and not too loud•
11•your clothes shouldn't be a second skin÷dont let your clothes too tight or too large•
12•avoid too much accesories÷keep it simple•
13•dress for your body type
14•try not to mix animal prints eg wearin a zebra printed top with a snake printed handbag etc
Dress for yourself and learn not to take in every kind of fashion dat is in vogue•
15•lastly÷dress responsibly but cute and gorgeous

RomanceRe: Money & Age, Which Should Be Considered First Before Marriage? by pearlhapi(f): 5:19pm On Aug 12, 2012
Emmy9ite: Ok guys, here is another topic for us to interract! Before getting married, which of these factors should be considered first?
Should one get married because one is up to the age of marriage or should one get married because one has earned enough money?
If u say money,what if u dont make it,wont u get married?
#All factors being equal.
Over to you_
what if one is up to the age of marriage and hasn't d finance to build a home.its not just about getting married, producing childern and letting them and their mum wallow in lack and want.I think if a man must get married then he must be able and capable to fend for he's family.and most pepo would ask, what if a man is of age and isn't buoyant enough so should he stay unmarried?well that's where the term FOCUS and goal comes in and that's why its preety cool to plan oneslife early enough.the next question many would likely ask is,so because a guy of about 23 to about 25 has made money should he then get married?well most times and especially in this generation, people tend to have more understanding and a high level of wisdom much more than their age.so if a 23 years old guy has an understanding of marriage and is buoyant enough, nothing really is wrong if he gets married so far the understanding of the term MARRIAGE IS THERE•well it all boils down to planning oneslife and knowing what you want•

sunical: Minutes of YAN South-South Meeting, August 11, 2012

Opening Prayer by Efose (Asst. Coordinator)
Minutes was taken by Happiness

The meeting was held at Kaydees Fast Food, Ugbowo, Benin City at 1pm. It started with an opening prayer by the Assistant Coordinator followed by introduction of attendees.

One of the members, Samuel, took time to explain the purpose of the meeting and the aim of the association. The name of the association was one of the issues discussed. A percentage of those in the meeting agreed to the name of the association, YAN (Young Authors of Nigeria), but one of the members, Felix, saw the name as not very good enough. His reasons were that the connotation “young” might mean limiting the association to just young people, which may give an impression to the outside world that the association is for little children. He saw no reason for the association to be age-restricted preventing a passionate writer aged 41 from joining the association. He further stated that for a new association, age restriction may not be the best. Samuel also supported the notion citing associations and contests with the name Young to be mostly restricted to the age range of 18 – 25. He brought up suggestions for the association – Guild of Nigerian Writers or Academy of Nigerian Writers.

Asst. Coordinator, Efose, then asked for a recommendation for the association’s name among the members present. Academy of Nigerian Writers was recommended.
Samuel talked about the membership fee for the association. He suggested N5000, also considering the fees of similar association. He said, should the name YAN be retained, members above 41 should be referred as Fellows or a more befitting name. And should we remove the age restriction and adopt the recommendation of the South-South, a lower membership fee for students should be considered.
Here are other suggestions brought up by members.

- That there should be an awareness of the existence of the association when it’s registered, as majority of writers are not aware of its existence. Such publicity or awareness could be done via the website, contests, media broadcast, Facebook, Twitter, and partnership with other Literary organizations.
- That Editors for all category of writing – Poetry, Fiction, etc. – should be elected among the Board Members, with the job of selecting the best works for publication.
- That there shouldn’t be Zonal Coordinators when the association is formed to avoid divisions and any form of sectionalism.
- That the association's Facebook page should be active than it is now. Every meeting held and decision reached should be posted on the page.
- A membership ID card or certificate of membership should be made available to members after registration.
- That the association should consider fixing a general meeting prior to the election of executives.

The meeting was attended by five members.
1. Efose I. (Asst. Coordinator)
2. Ebuka O.
3. Felix N.
4. Happiness O.
5. Samuel U.

masterpiecer: sijo nd ITBOMB

Sijo and ITBOMB,
what a rare combination
both, odd to the extreme,
holding their oddity in high esteem
but in their rarity
they have found something rare

they would hastily snap at each other
yet they both can't find another
"she will send me to an early grave"-ITBOMB
"i await a public apology, else..."-Sijo
those are their usual rants
but soon they would play together like infants

somedays they bring down the house
somedays they stay like normal spouse
like a cat and a mouse
but also like a skirt and a blouse
in each others arms when drowse
never forgetting their marital vows

in the neighbourhood
they have been since childhood
always with a swing of mood
they are each other's food
maybe they should live in the woods
they are mostly up to no good
omg!dis is gwed.loving it
