Just like he is claiming glory for the rail system this was started by OBJ in 2006

Contract to rebuild Lagos to Kano railway line
On 30 October 2006 President Olusegun Obasanjo signed a contract with China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation [4] to modernise the Lagos to Kano railway line. This is the first phase of the proposed 3 phase line upgrade. The project has been split up into 5 sections namely Lagos-Ibadan (181 km), Ibadan-Ilorin (200 km), Ilorin-Minna (270 km), Minna–Abuja–Kaduna (360 km), and Kaduna-Kano (305 km). Construction started, but the project was suspended in 2008 following a dispute. A supplementary agreement was signed in September 2012 and may now restart.[5]

Development of inland container depots
On 8 June 2006 development of Inland Container Depots (ICD) was proposed for a number of sites.[6]

China helps with revolutionary "fast" rail
Announced 22 March 2006. In terms of a Memorandum of Understanding signed by Nigeria’s Federal Government on 16 March, the Guangdong Xinguang International Group is to construct a revolutionary “fast” rail (RFR) system from Lagos to the capital Abuja (where there is no existing railway) as well as light rail lines to the Murtala Mohammed International Airport from Lagos city and to Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport from the Abuja city centre. According to the minister of commerce, $US2billion has been made available to start the projects, and the Chinese company will also invest in the three planned stages of the projected Abuja light rail system

Definetely you opinion alone. You cannot speak for most people. You might have point, but you didn't get it.
Why didn't challenge pwc audit report. SLS didn't have his facts right. While he was making that claim, there was an unread report on his table.
which con tained the current status of remittances.
PwC did their work independently, we all saw the details.
SLS had also apologised before now. Why are some Nigerian... Even OBJ that spent about 18Bn dollars+ on power that never worked people didn't abuse him.
Here's a man who inherited a rotten system, trying to clean up, and change systems, to minimise curruption, because it's not the one we are used to, we castigate him for every thing.
Let's do the right thing please.
Its part of OBJ's $18B Jona is commissioning now
The Nigerian National Integrated Power Project (NIPP) was conceived in 2004[1] when Olusegun Obasanjo was the President of the Federal Government of Nigeria. It was formed to address the issues of insufficient electric power generation and excessive gas flaring from oil exploration in the Niger Delta region. Seven power plants were designed in gas-producing states as part of the project.

Planned power plants included:[2]

Ihovbor Power Station Benin, Edo State with the capacity of 4 x 112.5 MW (ISO 126 MW).
Calabar Power Station, Cross River State with the capacity of 5 x 112.5112.5 MW (ISO 126 MW).
Egbema Power Station, Imo State with the capacity of 3 x 112.5 MW (ISO 126 MW).
Gbarain Power Station, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State with the capacity of 2 x 112.5 MW (ISO 126 MW).
Sapele Power Station, Delta State with the capacity of 4 x 112.5 MW (ISO 126 MW).
Omoku Power Station, Rivers State with the capacity of 2 x 112.5 MW (ISO 126 MW).
Ikot Abasi Power Station, Akwa Ibom with the capacity of 2 x 112.5 MW (ISO 126 MW) (replaced later by Ibom Power Station).
Together, the projects generated contracts worth $414,000,000 for the supply of turbines and electricity generation equipment to General Electric (GE).[3] The primary turbine is GE 9E gas turbine with a nominal ISO rating of 126MW. After adjusting for site conditions, the capacity was set to 112.5 MW. The plants are low efficiency simple cycle but have provision for future extension to combined cycle.[4]

Administration changes in 2007 interrupted funding for more than two years.[5] The NIPP project includes 11 power plants and 4 FGN Power Stations:

Alaoji Power Station, Abia State, combined cycle plant with the capacity of 4 x 112.5 MW (ISO 125 MW) and 2x steam 255 MW
Omotosho II Power Station, Ondo State, with the capacity of 4 x 112.5 (ISO 125 MW)
Olorunsogo II Power Station, Ogun State, combined cycle plant with the capacity of 4 x 125 MW and 2 x steam 125 MW
Geregu II Power Station, Kogi State, with the capacity of 434 MW [6]
Following the Afam V and Geregu I plants, Geregu II is now the third gas-turbine power plant to be constructed by Siemens in Nigeria as a turnkey project and completed on schedule. The scope of delivery supplied by Siemens for Geregu II included three SGT5-2000E gas turbines, three SGen5-100A generators, as well as all the electrical systems and the SPPA-T3000 control system. [7]

The Ikot Abasi NIPP power plant has been replaced by Ibom Power, which is a 190 MW project of the Akwa Ibom State government. The revised project involves large scale transmission projects across all of Nigeria which are crucial to ensure power distribution from generation plants to final customers.[8]

OLODO op, you are talking about Olorunsogo 1 and not Olorunsogo 2. They are 2 different power plants
Olorunsogo 1 was commissioned in May 2007. the project which was awarded to a Chinese firm, SEPCO Electric Power Construction Corporation in 2002 It functioned for barely three years before six of the eight turbines went off due to lack of spare parts and operating manuals in English language.

Back to Olorunsogo 2 it was close to completion because it was part of Obj's 3rd term last card game and thats why Mr Sambo said while Fielding questions from journalists after a working tour of the project, in Olorunsogo, Ogun state, Vice President Nnamadi Sambo said the government was committed to delivering stable electricity supply to Nigerians before the end of President Goodluck Jonathan's administration.

"In another six months from now, the entire project would be completed and have 750MW added to the national grid," he told journalists.

Just to get the record straight
Sogo1 was commissioned in May 2007
Sogo2 the contract for the execution of the project was signed in 2007 by the federal government to boost power generation in the country.

and as the time oga at the top Jona and Sambo got there the project was almost done

Thats why Vice President Nnamadi Sambo said the government was committed to delivering stable electricity supply to Nigerians before the end of President Goodluck Jonathan's administration.

"In another six months from now, the entire project would be completed and have 750MW added to the national grid," he told journalists.

We have read/heard this before. A stronger leader called OBJ(after squandering over $16Billion)literally raised his hands up that the big deliverable of uninterruptible power supply to Nigerians is beyond him and his party, PDP.
How then do you think a cub, yet to be weaned in the devious intrigues within the behemoth called PDP, can deliver on such progressive project? Such things are reserved for progressive people to deliver to their people. That was why the gaze turned to the Congress for Progressive Change but the admixture of hate-politics coupled with the brute force of state coercion subverted the people's will!
It was John Maxwell who wrote about the 'law of lid' in his '21 irrefutable laws of Leadership'. Therein he stated the lid placed on individuals, corporate concerns based on their leadership abilities.
With the array of human entities enveloped within the behemoth, unless there is an earth-rending miracle, it is doubtful if any PDP-led federal government can deliver uninterruptible power supply to Nigerians.

The federal government yesterday said it would deliver an additional 750 mega watts of electricity to the national grid from the multi-million dollar Olorunsogo Phase 11 National Integrated Power (NIPP) by November this year.

The construction cost of the Olorunsogo NIPP is pegged at about $600 million by the federal government.

Other onging NIPPs are Omotosho, Ondo State; Ihovbo, Edo state; Alaoje, Abia state; Egbema, Imo state; Gbaran, Bayelsa state; Calabar, Cross River state; Omoku, Rivers state; Geregu, Kogi state and Sapele, Delta state.

Fielding questions from journalists after a working tour of the project, in Olorunsogo, Ogun state, Vice President Nnamadi Sambo said the government was committed to delivering stable electricity supply to Nigerians before the end of President Goodluck Jonathan's administration.

"In another six months from now, the entire project would be completed and have 750MW added to the national grid," he told journalists.

Improving the economy

Mr Sambo said, "We have just signed a contract with Nigerians and that is why we have to ensure that we deliver power to Nigerians", adding that the government of Mr. Jonathan was in a hurry to improve the social and economic lives of the citizenry. He said "We have no time to waste to improve our social staus and change the fortunes of Nigerians," reassuring the electorate of government's commitment to delivering on their election promises.

"I want to say to Nigerians that we are not resting. And that we have done our studies and we shall deliver on our promises and not fail Nigerians," he added. The VP expressed satisfaction over the progress of the work so far and said he was pleased to note that three of the four gas turbines had already been test run.

While thanking the Ogun State governor, Gbenga Daniel, who accompanied him on a tour of the project, the VP assured him of the federal government's commitment to ensuring that the state benefits maximally from the power project.

In his welcome remarks, Mr Daniel said the people of the state "are happy for this project because the people have been told that they will get priority attention".

The governor maintained that power remained central to the economic growth of a nation and urged the federal government to do more to put smiles on the faces of the electorate. He further expressed hope that the NIPP project would be completed in order to make electricity available to "our people".

Stable power supply

Nuhu Wya, minister of state power told our correspondent, during the inspection of the project, that the contract for the execution of the project was signed in 2007 by the federal government to boost power generation in the country.

While also reassuring the Ogun State government of government's commitment to ensuring that the people of the state are the primary beneficiary of the power project was doing everything possible to deliver stable power supply to Nigerians. The Olorunsogo NIPP is a combined circle facility with four gas and two steam turbines designed for maximum power generation efficiency. He further explained that "combined circle means that the exhaust gas from the gas turbines is recovered at about 650 degrees centigrade and used through the heat recovery steam generator to fire a steam turbine to generate additional power".

The effect, he said, "is that the exhaust heat that would otherwise be lost is recovered and used to generate additional electricity without bearing more gas".

According to him, the process increases the efficiency from about 35 percent to 50 percent. Mr Wya added that three of the four gas turbines were already running, stating that the 750MW will "contribute additional 20 percent of the total power available to Nigeria. This is a significant contribution to the available 4000MW".
