Jeezuzpick: Just wondering.......like, how many of these Nigerian die-hard fans actually carry genuine cards?
I was back then in my uni years but when I realized Madrid is a racist club that can never buy an African player no matter how good ,I stopped wasting my time on them . I now support Chelsea based on their philosophy but I love Madrid but made that hard decision never to show them solidarity because of what they brought upon themselves
This YouTube video explains all you need to know about the illegal structure and how three court Rulings pronounced wike backed Okocha led APC illegal and invalid.
Now, how will APC support a structure that three courts judgements has pronounced illegal? On whose interest? Tinubu needs to be careful not to further destroy his image because going against court Rulings especially three court Rulings is very damaging to our democracy .
Tony Okocha has remained silent .
Emeka bekee has always been the legitimate APC chairman in Rivers state and should be allowed just as the courts ,three courts have ruled . This is democracy and should not be about one man .
Tinubu should work with the legitimate APC chairman in the state
Akpakomiza2: Stop embarrassing yourself na. The issue of party candidates has nothing to do with state chapters but national chapters. Names are submitted by nwc not state chapters. Why are you so stubborn
Akpakomiza2: Stop embarrassing yourself na. The issue of party candidates has nothing to do with state chapters but national chapters. Names are submitted by nwc not state chapters. Why are you so stubborn
AMINDA: So how comes the APC failed to field candidates in 2 electoral cycles in Rivers? The APC national leadership was unaffected in both instances. Tinubu and Wike connived with Magnus Abe just to checkmate Amaechi. Magnus Abe subsequently got rewarded with juicy positions after Tinubu won. Tinubu was the originator of anti-party in the APC.
Yes
Tinubu represents betrayal, killing of dreams of the innocence and handing positions to thugs to kill people dreams and good aspirations ,
Penguin2: I would have loved for Wike to lose out but the APC primaries remain valid because it was the National body of the party that organized the primary.
But Wike’s lackeys will still lose.
So now , party constitution has become lawas of the federal Republic to you . And courts are now subject to APC constitution?
Una just dey behave any how in this country.
APC does not have any candidates for now as long as it's okocha led faction,
Akpakomiza2: Didn't you read where he said primaries are conducted by nwc and not state faction? It only affects the state chapter and not candidates. It has nothing to do with defections. The membership or defection of Chinda has nothing to do with the judgment
seunmsg: Oya now. When INEC hands over nomination forms to the National Chairman, you can go and collect that of Rivers state and hand them over to Emeka Beke and Amaechi. You can even join them in nominating our own APC candidates for all elective positions in the states and when they are done filing the forms, Amaechi and Emeka can sign as National Chairman and Secretary respectively for them.
APC constitution is not our nigeria constitution unfortunately for you people so rest .
DoTheNeedful: There is a subset of Northerners, mostly Fulani, who believe in the supremacy of the North over the South, and the supremacy of the Fulanis over other Northerners. These people deeply understand and imbibe Ahmadu Bello's philosophy of politically dominating the South.
From what I have seen on social media, many of Atiku's Northern supporters belong to this subset. Obasanjo, as the president of Nigeria, allegedly prostrated for Atiku to allow him run second term. Atiku insulted Jonathan to his face in 2011, telling him not to contest because it was the turn of the North. He would later defect from PDP to be among the founders of APC. The same Atiku contested to be president just as Buhari, a Fulani man, was completing 8 years. Obasanjo begging Atiku for a second term clearly showed that Atiku dangled his Fulani credentials in his face. Atiku is a Fulani supremacist deceiving the gullible as a detribalized Nigerian. Tambuwal, El-rufai and Buhari are other examples of Northern supremacists.
Contrary to what they might want to make you believe, Atiku still does not have a widespread appeal in the North. Most of the people cheering Atiku's presidency in the North are the Fulanis.
The post made by this Kwankwasiyya dude reeks of a Northern supremacist, who could not wrap his head around a RMK deputizing an Obi. To people like him Northerners should always be president, and they must decide whoever and whenever a Southerner should be a president. One of the problems the Northern establishment has currently with Tinubu is that they cannot control him after they reluctantly put him in power. By the way, he still had to bribe them with a Muslim-Muslim ticket.
One of the reasons this superiority mindset in the North has remained is because some Southerners have bought into it. I shake my head in disappointment when I read comments from some myopic Southerners on social media saying something like: "The North have decided to take power back". Statements like this cave to such Northern supremacy mindset; they also reek of Southern inferiority.
The good news is that the North of today is no longer the North Ahmadu Bello handed over to them. They are not as united as they used to be. The long played-out Fulani domination has weakened the cohesion among the various ethnic and religious groups in the North. The Tiv man from Benue or the Berom man from Plateau is more suspicious of a Fulani man from Sokoto than his grandfather was in 1965.
This lack of cohesion is something a united South can capitalize on. With all the popularity of Buhari in 2015, if the SW had voted for Jonathan enmass, Jonathan would still have won. Peter Obi's performance in 2023 also shows a pathway to presidency without massive votes from the Fulani-dominated states.
If Atiku run in 2027 and amass large votes in the North, I would suggest we present and unite behind a Southerner in 2031 to contest against the Northerners.
miracle002: The reinstated Emeka Beke-led executive of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State has declared all candidate nominations from the party’s just-concluded primaries null and void.
The nullified primaries had notably produced House of Representatives member Kingsley Chinda, a close ally of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike, as the party’s governorship candidate following the withdrawal of Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
Several other Wike loyalists had also emerged as APC flagbearers for the 2027 National and State Assembly elections.
The development follows a Friday ruling by Justice Elfreida Oluwayemisi Williams-Dawodu of the Court of Appeal in Port Harcourt. The appellate court upheld a Rivers State High Court decision that nullified the congresses producing Chief Tony Okocha, Wike’s chief ally in the state, as the party’s chairman.
Reacting to the judgement in a statement on Monday, Darlington Nwauju, the spokesperson for the reinstated Beke faction, declared that all decisions, nominations, and documentations made under the Okocha-led faction between December 20, 2024, and May 29, 2026, are illegal and have no effect.
Nwauju argued that the Tony Okocha faction had no legal right to represent the party or conduct primaries, accusing them of trying to turn the Rivers APC into an exclusive club where founding members and key stakeholders were unfairly disqualified for frivolous reasons.
“All nominations, representations, communications, documentations including decisions reached on behalf of the Rivers State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress between December 20, 2024, to Friday, May 29, 2026, with the seal of the illegal executives, is illegal, null, void and of no effect,” Nwauju stated.
The Beke faction has now urged the National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC to immediately review and wipe out all records of the primaries conducted by the Okocha faction to avoid a repeat of the “Zamfara experience,” where the party lost its electoral victories due to invalid primaries.
Additionally, the faction called on the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) to withdraw the certificates of return issued to local government chairmen and councilors from the Okocha faction who won the August 2025 local government elections, demanding they be handed over to candidates originally submitted by the legally recognized Emeka Beke executive.
Ofunaofu: The sacked faction conducted the primaries, so every action it purportedly took is null, void, and of no legal effect. In law, they should never have existed in the first place.
As the saying goes, you cannot place something on nothing and expect it to stand.
As it stands, the APC in Rivers has a serious candidate-legitimacy problem. The same applies to Wike's faction of the PDP, its structure has been invalidated by the supreme court. A faction that lacks legal standing cannot validly produce candidates. Have you seen Wike campaigning for any of his faction PDP candidates, shebi his faction produced a presidential candidate, Sandy Ojang Onor. Why is he not campaigning for him. That's should tell you all that is needed
Ironically, Wike appears to have anticipated this confusion himself. In one of his recent outbursts, he suggested that Rivers PDP, APC, LP, and AA would produce candidate in what he described as a rainbow coalition.
The situation suggests a politician caught in the consequences of his own political calculations. In trying to outwit everyone else, Wike may have ended up boxing himself into a corner. Infact, Wike may have succeeded only in outsmarting himself.

thelondonwire: If you're looking for healthy breakfast ideas, you're definitely not alone. Breakfast is still one of the most discussed meals of the day. And honestly, there's a good reason for that. Data from the UK's National Diet and Nutrition Survey suggests that people who eat breakfast regularly often get more fibre, vitamins and minerals than those who skip it. Of course, not every breakfast is equal. The trick is choosing foods that provide steady energy. Nobody enjoys the crash that comes after a sugary start.
The good news? A healthy breakfast doesn't need to be complicated. In fact, some of the best choices take only a few minutes to put together. Simple often works best.
Why a Healthy Breakfast Matters After going all night without food, your body needs fuel. It's pretty straightforward. A balanced breakfast can help restore energy. It may also support concentration and keep hunger in check until lunch arrives.
Research published in the British Journal of Nutrition found some interesting results. Eating a nutritious breakfast may improve attention and memory. This seems especially true for children and young adults. That said, breakfast isn't essential for everyone. Some people feel perfectly fine without it. Many others, though, notice they feel sharper and more focused after a balanced morning meal.
1. Bran Flakes with Fruit and Milk One of the simplest healthy breakfast ideas is a bowl of Bran Flakes with fresh fruit on top. Nothing fancy. Just a reliable option that works.
Bran Flakes are well known for their fibre content. Fibre helps support digestive health. It can also help you stay full for longer. Add sliced bananas, berries or apples, and you'll boost the meal's vitamin content too. The extra antioxidants are a nice bonus.
For more protein, try semi-skimmed milk. A fortified plant-based alternative works well too. This breakfast takes less than five minutes to prepare. That's one reason people keep coming back to it. You get a balanced mix of carbohydrates, fibre and protein without much effort.
2. Porridge Oats with Nuts and Seeds Porridge has been a breakfast staple in the UK for years. Maybe generations, really. Oats contain beta-glucan. That's a type of soluble fibre linked to healthy cholesterol levels.
A bowl of porridge topped with almonds, walnuts or chia seeds can add healthy fats and extra protein. Throw in a handful of berries if you like. A small drizzle of honey works too. It adds sweetness without making breakfast feel like dessert, which is always a plus.
3. Greek Yoghurt and Fresh Fruit Greek yoghurt is naturally high in protein. That's one reason it's such a satisfying breakfast choice. Pair it with strawberries, blueberries or kiwi fruit. You'll get extra fibre along with plenty of vitamins.
Some studies suggest that protein-rich breakfasts may reduce cravings later in the day. If you're usually searching for snacks by mid-morning, this option could be worth trying. Oddly enough, something this simple can feel surprisingly filling.
4. Wholemeal Toast with Avocado Avocado toast became popular for a reason. Despite all the jokes about it, it's actually a solid breakfast choice. Avocados contain heart-friendly monounsaturated fats. Wholemeal bread adds fibre and slow-release carbohydrates.
Want to make it even more filling? Add a poached egg on top. Eggs provide high-quality protein. They also contain nutrients such as vitamin B12 and choline. It's a small addition, but it makes a noticeable difference.
5. Smoothies for Busy Mornings Some mornings are hectic. We've all had them. When time is short, a homemade smoothie can save the day.
Blend a banana with spinach, oats and milk or yoghurt. That's it. The result provides carbohydrates, fibre, vitamins and protein in one portable breakfast. It's convenient, and let's be real, convenience matters on busy weekdays.
The NHS recommends eating at least five portions of fruit and vegetables each day. A smoothie can help you move closer to that target. It won't do all the work on its own, but every little bit helps.
6. Overnight Oats Overnight oats are ideal if you prefer to prepare breakfast ahead of time. Simply mix oats, milk and fruit in a container. Then leave it in the fridge overnight.
By morning, breakfast is ready and waiting. No cooking required. That's hard to argue with. Add some flaxseeds or a handful of nuts if you want more fibre and healthy fats. It's an easy upgrade.
Final Thoughts The best healthy breakfast ideas are often the simplest. You don't need anything complicated. Bran Flakes with fruit, porridge, Greek yoghurt or wholemeal toast can all work well. The main goal is to include fibre, protein and healthy fats in some form.
A nutritious breakfast doesn't need to cost a fortune. It doesn't need to take ages either. Small changes can add up over time. Swapping sugary cereals for Bran Flakes is one example. Choosing whole grains instead of refined options is another. These choices may seem minor at first. Over weeks and months, though, they can make a meaningful difference. At the end of the day, the best breakfast is the one you'll actually eat. It should fit your routine and help you feel ready for whatever the day throws at you.
edogu: If there's one thing that I've learnt under this man called Otti, it is the fact that governance is not that difficult when the political will is there. The reason we are experiencing setback politically in Nigeria is because we keep electing either people with wrong mindsets about governance or wrong people in the right position.
We did not elect those people, they stole the mandate with help of inec rigging for them
oyeraff: Rainbow coalition is dead, No PDP in Rivers state due to earlier court orders on Wike's faction and no APC in Rivers state now on Wike's faction of APC, take note. APC and PDP may not have candidates.
The authentic PDP led by turaki will have candidate in Rivers state. They may even put Sim as their candidate
