Players will try to protect themselves from injuries in the remaining friendlies.

I'm trying to access Nigeria's chances at this mundial. Before Poland and Serbia I rated their chances highly after those games I was scratching my head thinking should they have even qualified

What's your assessment nairalanders? I'll be at the England v Nigeria game. Will you be holding off until that game for assessment. I ask because all the Nigerians I talk to, 1 don't know Nigeria has even qualified, 2 don't even know that the game with England is even taking place and 3 do not rate our chances at all

RomanceRe: My Sister Is A Lesbian, I Need Help To Cure Her by pelezico: 11:04am On May 25, 2018
I doubt that will help her especially if she has participated in homosexual sex. Her conscience would first have been violated by the act (if she participated in it) and also because God designed sex as the glue in "marriage" you will find that they will begin to struggle mentally even when they want to pursue a normal relationship. They can be set free from it only when they confront the behavior head on and repent of it rather than excuse it. Here in the UK they push alternate relationships even allowing children to cross dress. Im saying this because its now becoming fashionable especially now that Pornography is so easily accessible.

As Christians we should love them and speak the truth in LOVE.

D truth is dat I'm still in secondary school and one of my classmates came open about this issue some weeks ago, she claimed to have been initiated into this evil act by her aunty, but after we threatened to stop associating with her and also report her to the school authority she has improved significantly, as a matter of fact she even has a boyfriend now.

Mikel is a good player but at his age are you seriously saying that he's our best? I'm not here to argue I'm just worried that Nigeria will flop hard if the other players don't produce some majick

Mikel is past his best surely. We can't and shouldn't depend on him alone. Argentina and Portugal are not Nigeria. What I mean is that they at least have players who play regular football for good clubs. Our boys do not. This is not the 94 team were we had players who had flare. This team did excellently in the qualifiers and I thought that Mikel with his penchant to hold on tho the ball in midfield was hindering the team. Were he excelled was when he was in attack. There he is extremely dangerous.

I'm concerned that's all I'm not critiquing or shilling I just ....... Want to turn up to Nigeria v England on June 2nd and see Nigeria become the first African team to whoop England. I don't want to be embarrassed

Surely you understand

safarigirl:
oh?

Argentina should also see doom ahead, nobody on the team is better than Messi

Same goes for Portugal. Who is better than CR7 there?

Egypt should also be terrified, Salah is their best player

How good were we when the likes of Yakubu and Enyeama were our best players? Is Mikel so woeful that he cannot be our best player?

On what ground should we be doomed if Mikel is our best player? Has he done anything to signify that he cannot hold the mantle when necessary?

I want to understand why we should be doomed if Mikel is our best as opposed to Moses? What does Moses bring that others cannot as compared to what Mikel brings?
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by pelezico: 9:22pm On May 08, 2018
safarigirl:
lol....Victor who? Sometimes, Kelechi even outshines him. Victor Moses is not our best player, Mikel Obi is.

We lose games without Mikel, Moses can be on the pitch and we will still lose. When last did we lose a game Mikel played?
If Mikel is our best player don't you think that we have major problems then. If the squad that you are taking to Russia have players that are not better than Mikel then I only see doom ahead.

I saw the 2007 under 17 WC final between Nigeria and Spain and was surprised to see De Gea in goal. But equally surprised that Dele Ajiboye did not get any interest outside of Nigeria. De Gea as we know has does exceptionally well but Dele has not excelled

Is there a case to include Dele Ajiboye into WC squad

But I think Mahrez and Sallah can play as playmakers smithing like De Bruyne or Mata. Bless! you finally get my point, I can't think of any player from Africa plus I read that it had something to do with lack of concentration.
Yes African players lack concentration shocked

your post contradict itself, Nigeria problem is not players but we need 5 creative players'?. Which play did Nigeria have before Rohr that has retrogress? Oga na wa for you ooo.
No contradiction - im talking about the qualifiers for this WC and the Argentina game - im amazed how quickly Nigerias football in so short a time has regressed. Im not talking about pass performances under different coaches but present performances.

The last two games were simply BAD as if we fielded a different team.
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Serbia: International Friendly 0 - 2 (Full Time) by pelezico: 6:50am On Mar 28, 2018
Nigeria's problems were not necessary players but our play has regressed quite spectacularly. We don't have a midfield that can create good play or hold its own.

Nigeria needs 5 players who are play makers not just rely on Moses. The team that played against Argentina in the second half would be my choice. I would rather have Henry. Onyekuru sitting in midfield as an attacking midfielder. Maybe maybe he would be that surprise we need.

Anyway right now we will not leave that group and our group is.not hard to qualify from. We made Poland and Serbia look like Spain and germany. Not good we can donbetter

Rorh needs to up his game

We'll know in a competitive match england can never defeat italy nor netherlands, colombia can't defeat france in a competitive match... so don't be so quick to say Judge Nigeria's worldcup performance based on a friendly
Nigeria is not England - England are crapppp but they have structure but mediocre players - Nigeria has no structure and mediorce players - a bad recipe
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Serbia: International Friendly 0 - 2 (Full Time) by pelezico: 9:41pm On Mar 27, 2018
BluntTheApostle:
True, but Rohr has to take all these risks. He wants a strong first team and bench and he is trying different formations to see which one sticks well. That is the essense of friendly matches: to assess strength and weaknesses. Winning is just a bonus. Rohr is a good coach. Better we lose now than get to the World Cup and lose out in the group stage.
You play with your strongest 11 first we aint got time to play about - this team is not good - at 50 minuets we started to play well but defensively we are all over the place

If we play England we will get mullered
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Serbia: International Friendly 0 - 2 (Full Time) by pelezico: 8:49pm On Mar 27, 2018
We got our work cut out - cause i fear we will not get out of the group. Theres no way we will get out of the WC group playing like this. Noway.

The goal keeper is ok but he lacks experience. We need Enyema in goal - i dont like bringing back oldies but his experience is a must

Nigerias players are shite - we are playing shite
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Serbia: International Friendly 0 - 2 (Full Time) by pelezico: 8:46pm On Mar 27, 2018
ogbiwa:
Joel Obi, Ndidi and Onazi. 3 defensive midfielders starting together in midfield, and you wonder why our boys are only playing long balls from defense. No single creativity from that midfield. Enyeama and Mikel will definitely make this team better
But surely we cant rest on Mikel - Nigeria needs potentially 4-5 play makers not one. Damnnn

With what I am seeing this match it will end at 3:2 in favour of Nigeria
It doesnt matter how it ends it matters how we played - if we win so what all we are doing is masking the obvious - Nigeria has not revealed a structure to there game at all
