Your story is so true!!! Refugees / aduro don't get working permit unless there case has been approved. No hustle without papers.... At least its difficult. No work without speaking proper German in most areas.

And now German government is making fast decision on asylum cases, so they can deport refugees quickly back home. Additional German government signed contract with Nigerian government about refugees. They can now easily send people back even without documents and therefore they pay money to Nigeria...

Best way to enter Europe now is by student visa or if you are highly qualified eg in technical jobs.

Everything here has been difficult especially since many refugees came in 2016...
Tnx you know dearie,bt i Gif helps him.

@OP, I will your zeal and your effort to go abroad, study and live aftermath, I salute such courage in you at the expense of your grade, Kudos! Believe me, you can do it! you made some mistakes while in school, not coming out with good grades to help with some scholarships, but the deed is done! You can still make it by saving up money and praying to God for an helper!

Sincerely speaking, Your uncle owe you nothing! fight for yourself! if you got good friends abroad (comfortable ones); talk to some of them who can invite you and cater for you for awhile, ive seen friends go abroad through their friends, the rendered help and the rest is story now.

Forget your uncles and families abroad who cant help! As a matter of fact, i got a blood brother abroad (though, we dont talk any more), he recently took his gf abroad (No formal introduction or marriage yet), yes, gf! and he has never filed or take his parent or family member abroad! so, u see uncle is even a long/distance relationship. So my dear, Fight for yourself and forget people that cant help!

Dont look down at yourself! the ealier you forget them, the better for you! borne them! block them! dont dont chat or talk to any body! Let them say you proud!

You can get there!
God bless you bro you really reconstructed ny mindset with your wrds.

TravelRe: Why Do People Living Abroad Rarely Help Their Relations by pendragon35(m): 5:00pm On Apr 18, 2017
19naia:
People see the bigger salaries abroad in terms of Naira exchnage rate and the quality of life in prefered places abroad, and assume it all means money is surplus.
The truth is that even with a Masters degree in USA, Australia or London, you will only be assured to lived comfortable in a decent area if you find a favorable job.

That large looking salary(in terms of Naira exchange rate) is not paying Nigeria rent or Nigeria home purchase prices. It is not buying all of that high standard of living abroad at the cost of living in an average part of Nigeria.

In New york city, and Sydney Australia, you will be lucky to start off in a simple rental house costing 700k Naira a month. And not including electricity and other ammenities.

And if they have dreams of buying or building a house in Newyork city or Sydney Australia, they will only be near the price of a basic house in those cities when they have enough money to buy a very fine house in Banana Island Ikoyi Lagos.
On top of that, they must eat, they must pay medical coverage, they must buy clothes, transport, leisure time to stave off insanity, care for the family and also pay towards retirement years or invest in business or stocks for the future.

It all adds up. So when you think that they are making easily 2million Naira a month abroad, it is huge and they should be living like Naija politicians, but with 2million Naira a month in NewYork city or Sydney Australia, you will have a basic house to rent, a simple car, food, clothes and basics. If you have a Family to care for, you best hope your spouse works. Because a family supported on 2million Naira a month there is not going far during day to day, but they will at least eat and sleep well.

The ones who live in cheaper cities, like i do, we can live off of less than 1million Naira a month and have the same things and a family, but the jobs will not pay as much as newyork. The manager positions, high pay position are not as available as average pay.

So those who are living abroad, building house in Nigeria and helping family, they are fortunate beyond the average situation. The avaerage Oyibo Abroad is barely supporting their basic life in their own country much less than even thinking of sending money to support people in Nigeria. So to assume Nigerians will enter Abroad and automatically be able to pay for everybody back home and build a house in Nigeria as well as Abroad, it is not true except for a few.

I know my family in Nigeria gets rare support but i know that when my grandmother in Nigeria was being sent money and phone from abroad, there were younger family members always there to pilfer her and another round of money and phone would always have to be sent. It was like that all the way to her death bed and still they pilfered despite her generosity to them. They took until she had nothing left but her death bed to lay on. Also the family house was swindled away. The one who took care of everyone was treated that way.
So when Grandma died, the idea of supporting cousins and nephews or nieces was a bad taste and even the desire to go back and visit was with sentiment similar to going to wander into a den of vultures.

Nigeria can be great and Nigerians can make Nigeria great with all their needs taken care of from home, but it is Nigeria that is the cause of Nigeria own problem and not the problem of people abroad. Who is sending them money abroad that they should be sending money to Nigeria?

Last time i was in Nigeria, i was spending half of my available monthly budget that i use to live a simple life in USA with no car expense. I was having an easy time in Nigeria because the exchange rate gave me a lot of Naira for less than $1000 for a month. People still wanted me to spend all my USA money there with them because they assumed i can go back to USA and pluck money off trees to start well again.

Some even asked for the shoes off my feet at the airport as i departed, like i can ride aeroplane to land in USA and pluck new shoes from trees. Some would collect money from me and then bring other family members to get money from me after. Next time i will give less to people so that when they bring their family to collect, i will give the balance of the less i had given before.
They all seemed to not understand that when i got back to USA, the $800 i had spent in one month there was nothing compared to basic expenses for me when i got back to USA.

I required reserves at home in USA to go back to paying rent, buying food, utilities and so on. And the ticket to fly there sef was more than $1000. How money go remain to just be dashing, dashing and dashing? And when police corner me to fire upon me for having no money for them, all those i dash before will have nothing to use to help me recover if i survive hand of police.

And all the random people just see my face on the street asking me money, it was too much. If i gave away all i had and roamed the streets with nothing, i am sure after a few weeks, most people would turn away from me and call me a madman and have nothing to offer me to console. I have been down that road before and learned well. People need to worry about what they can do for others and then their reward will come.
I gave most to those who helped me and were hospitable to me with their home and time. I will do the same next time and avoid all others as much as i can. Nigerians are some very hospitable people but they can chop and chop and chop and leave nothing to show for it and their hunger will still remain. Especially the politicians there.

I beg, go and complain to your politiciams for money. They are the ones who owe you and have robbed you of nation that can be as lucrative to you as Abroad is for your uncle.
You nailed it bro.I used to tink that way till my friend told me wat he was passing tru in Germany,I jst had a regression of thought.
Bt pls is any scholarship that can fund almost all necessary needs to travel abroad.
TravelRe: The Quest To Travel :An Advice To Intending Travellers(A True Life Story) by pendragon35(op):
Herein, this write-up never aimed at discouraging intending travellers but rather an eye-opener to them. Therefore some sailent points might be put into consideration before one can embark in a sojourn to a foreign land.
1.Before one will travel, lets make solid inquiries from people residing there who came across such situations to know an easy approach to the task ahead.
2.Researches showed that it is always better to have a sponsor who can carry you along for the mean time before you settle in properly.
3.Never mind gullible agents whose duty is just to dope desperate travellers with the notion of their is a job waiting for you after which the story becomes reversed.
4.Travelling outside the country is not a quick rich get scheme ,dear brothers and sisters lets hustle legitimately to avoid bringing bad name for ourselves and the future generation.
5.In occasions whereby you have no place to live in,endeavour to have enough cash for hotel reservations.
6.Though, almost all are travel freaks vis-a-vis the economic meltdown in the state now, lets learn to scrutinise any travel proposal from any person for which ever reason.
7.Knowing the economic standard of an intending country is of utmost concern before landing in a country of the same level with yours.
8.Lastly,never fail to seek the face of God.Since his grace is sufficient, one month of constant prayers without ceasing is always suggested by travel gurus so as our journey to a foreign land may be of success to us, our family and its environs.AMEN.
Add yours brothers,I drop at this junction.................

Then come 2017 he transferred to a new club in search for a better living but the same music keep on playing here and there.
The most pathetic aspect of this scenario that urged me to pen down this long epistle was just last week ,why we were having our normal chat I showed him a message from someone telling us about scholarship education in Berlin,Germany. He laughed uncontrollably and warned me never to risk my life with such scam.According to him to feed 1/3 now in Munich is an uphill task for him.During this chat I was like asking how come all this freshness on facebook that attracts thousands of likes and comments,he simply put “bro all that glitters are not gold” forget about pictures.Honestly I was shocked to the brim, for some minutes I was drowning in the sea of silence because I know how girls crush over his uploads on social media.
According to him,all Nigerians without documents has been prohibited from working in any place why some have been deported.
Europe is no longer what it used to be.We Nigerians have been labelled a very bad image not just because of our government but from the attitudes we have exhibited in all parts of the world.Oyinbo now see us as terrorist ,every street you pass they keep on staring at you as an escapee.Their girls are only interested in having sex with them of which afterwards finds their way.He also expressed that a white man can never help you in so far your identity shows as a Nigerian; If it means deporting all blacks(Nigerians) to their respective countries they are in.Their racist discrimination is unbearable.
Furthermore, he opined that they no longer sleep with both eyes closed due to persistent attack by police for deportation.
The more he speaks the greater the pains in him as well no going back. “No one to direct on the do’s and dont’s of this country,we are just on our own and doing whatever we seems that is right for us only to live a hap-hazard life here” he said. No place like home bro, he repeatedly said, our movement here is highly calculated, you can’t walk about any how in Munich.
Imagine buying a jeans for 40 euro, which is around #20,000 to naira equivalent;how much more their rents and feeding. And some ignorant relatives keep on hassling them to to send money as if they pick it along the streets..

TravelThe Quest To Travel :An Advice To Intending Travellers(A True Life Story) by pendragon35(op):
There might have been different articles addressing this particular issue but this one tends to bring the gospel truth to the ears of those willing to adhere to the simple instructions.
Ever since the economic mishap kicked off in Nigeria, we youths have taken traveling outside the country the only survival route; But to whom it may concern ,it’s not always greener on the other side.
I am writing this piece not just to attract attention but rather in verge to advice my fellow youths based on what a dear friend and brother sent to me as a warning via Whatsapp voice note. The guy in question is the first issue of his parents and a such has many responsibilities to take.
On 2015, after much perturbation his father spent not less than #1.2M to see him travel to Italy, it was there his dilemma started. He started living, with the little balance left for him. Before you could know what is happening he just ran out of cash,it was here the story of gods started playing its drum.Ebuka(not real name) began begging along the streets of Italy, according to him 80% of Nigerians there are street beggars aside some girls that resort to prostitution.
For over six months my friend was in to exclusive begging under hot sun with little or no food after spending voraciously to get a visa only see himself in such a nasty situation. But the most awful aspect of this was that the visa done for him was as a player, which according to him was promised by the dubious and criminally minded agents that a club in Italy and Germany are waiting to have them in their clubs but all was in a guise to make their goddamned cash. The guy I know very well from secondary school was a good player but there in Europe, the story was nothing to write home about.
Fast forward to six months he made some little change that managed to get him down to Germany through train. From 2016 he has been in Germany playing in a local league, yet no good pay. He just feed from hand-to-mouth.Then come 2017 he transferred to a new club..............(more loading).

I will not advise you on quitting or finishing your program, but I will ponder on the motivation behind your contemplation.

The grass always looks green at the other side but in reality, it may not be as envisioned. I have been to Italy many times. From my observations and the present Italian economic climate, it is not advisable to migrate there at this moment. Furthermore, How do you plan to sort out your residency?

Your residency is the single yet, most important thing that will determine how far you will progress and how easy your life will be. As far as I have known, there is virtually no method the average Nigerian will sort out their non-temporary residency unless they have family members who are Italian citizens.

Basic things like accommodation, getting a job, opening a bank account, seeing the doctor, benefit entitlements etc will be impossible to obtain without residency, and even if you get a 'under-the-table-job', you are at the mercy of your employer who fully knows that there is no law that protects you as an illegal immigrant, and will likely exploit and treat you as he wishes, and you won't be able to legally do anything about it.

I hope you make the right decision.

Simple advise, No!

Before you consider me an enemy of progress, read and understand the thread below

https://www.nairaland.com/3390736/must-read-what-he-goes#49952444

How well can you answer these questions?

1. Have your uncle obtained a degree at bachelors level from any Italian institution? I strongly doubt.

2. Has he obtained a permanent residents stay?

3. Is he gainfully employed with established institutions?

4. Or has he antecedents of deceit?

Now don't claim your circumstances are different from that of the reference above, even if they appear so, be rest assured you will run into troubles sooner than you thought if you fail to plan.

There are tons of reasons not to abandon your undergraduate studies having advanced thus far. Just sit back a while to consider the following

1. The language complex

Most Italian universities only offer relevant courses in Italian, the spoken language until recently there were little offers to study in English at an undergraduate level.

2. Notoriority accorded to Nigerians

This is no news to you by now. Do you want to associate with people of questionable characters and recruited to engage in illicit activities? It is a common trend here.

3. A comprehensive plan for your relocation

Be sure you have obtained necessary information about your eligibilty into the promised Italian school, means of livelihood, medical insurance, a secure long term accomodation and an integration road map.

4. Time

Most importantly time!

I will advice you to complete your degree programme before considering any such moves and act only when you are satisfied with the responses to the questions above.

Brother, from me to you, miracles don't happen in this part of the world, disregard whatever you uave seen on social media except you are prepared for a life of crime.
O bro,may God bless yhu in countless ways, yhu have really broaden my horizon with this powerful words of yours.Tnx boss.
