What does statement accredited to Bode George mean? That Lagos PDP is corrupt? That they all deserve to go to jail?

I think this is a very good thread. There is a lot to learn from it. Some pple are just plain insensitive. You should know when your exhaust emission is a subject of discomfort.

Op is very tactful. No one could have done it better. I probably would have brandished a handkerchief and close my nose if I had to remain there

This same incompetent minister was put in charge of the all important works and Housing ministry at a time the Lagos Benin express way was at its worst state.

She went there with a few cameramen and wept. That caused quite a sensation and pple plying that route thought their misery was over. Anyway the road remained the same until she left that ministry.

@naijakung
For a medical student or a 'doctor' in America your comprehension skill is awful. And I wonder how you pass your exams! Either that or you are deliberately trying to hoodwink your readers by sounding sophisticated. I have tried to distill the numerous garbage u have spewed on this thread and it has crystallized into this:

Madeziani is a middle-aged woman, so she needs laparoscopic appendectomy b/c she may have ovarian cyst, uterine cancer(!), Ca colon or any other mass that may be greater than 2.5cm requiring biopsy. So every middle-aged woman who comes down with known symptoms of appendicitis should have this procedure. Have u not heard of a simple pelvic ultrasound scan? Painless, cheap, readily available to establish diagnosis? Or it has to be laparoscopy b/c u are an American surgeon? Where in America do u practice if u are a doctor? Do u have insurance?

In any case Madeziani going for appendectomy already assures that these other more serious conditions have been excluded. This is where your desperate effort to sound bombastic in order to excuse an ill-disguised criminal nay immoral act falls apart. If public officials in America used craftiness and underhand techniques to siffon funds will u have had america to run to.

naijaking1:
Yes, that when 85% of the consultants left Nigeria for US, UK, Saudi, etc. They left for greener pastures and to make room for Hausa doctors here like pennywise cool
The same hausa doctors are doing kidney transplant in Maiduguri and IVF all over the north. How many of that 85% practiced medicine in the countries u mentioned? That is exactly the problem. The complex some of these brothers develop each time they learn sth new when they get to america esp the deadwood in class who found their way there somehow. All of a sudden they are brainier than the ace doctors back home who are by far materially well off and have no need to hussle. You have said a lot of awful things unbecoming of even a medical student and I am not going to descend to your level.

Here is your thieving minister in yet another scandal

Laparoscopic surgery has become a convenient excuse to explain away another clear case of fraud and theft of public funds. To a 'doctor' trying to find his feet in America it is a big deal in Nigeria. It will surprise him to find that practically all decent clinics in Lagos is laparoscopy-capable.

I dont know what jungle medical school naijaking went to in Nigeria or what exposure he had but u will be surprised that some of the best health facilities are available to those who can afford it.

My advise to you is to come back home and make your self relevant instead of staying there in the states where u are only allowed to see black patients

Now, I know the sort of "doctor" I'm dealing with cheesy The sort that believes "Laparoscopy has very little in its favour when dealing with appendicitis"
I wish I can bring you into a regular program and make a good surgeon out of you.

You see, you've probably never scrubbed in for an appendectomy, because if you did, you would know that if you find a mass more than 2.5cm in size, you're bound to do a biopsy, or even a right hemicolectomy.

You see, it's Hausa doctors like you who went to medical school on quota that running our healthcare system to the ground. Why wouldn't a patient run away from a monster of a doctor like you embarassed
Completely irrelevant. Heady medical student. I give up. I hope you come back in ten years to read the few lines I wrote hopefully then it will make sense.

Just stick to politics, don't expose your ignorance to the world.
Her media handlers wouldn't know about malignacy until pathology comes back, usually 2-3 weeks after surgery. The signs and symptoms usually fool inexperienced surgeons, because the presentations are mostly similar.
Don't forget that my comment was in reference to the fact that she went for "minor operation" Well, there's nothing like a minor operation.

We can argue surgery in the medical section if you like, but right now, can we focus on the bad Nigerian healthcare system: causes, presentations, and remedy huh
Odeh. U are as dumb as they come. You have turned a mere appendectomy to colon biopsy. Obviously you are as clueless and as dumb as your principal and u expect to win this election?

^Not making excuses for the silly woman, but that may be why she flew abroad. Laparoscopic appendectomy not being done in Nigeria yet (I think).
Thank you for your observed stu.pidity of this dishonorable minister.

Laparoscopic surgery has very little in its favour when dealing with appendicitis. To start with you are guarranteed 2 puncture wounds instead of one that can be no more than 1inch. Anesthetic risks are the same. In the hands of a skilled operator (they abound in Nigeria) you can discount practically all risks. Laparoscopic surgeries other than having fewer competent personnel carries its own baggage not worth going into here. While its use in gall bladder surgeries is eminently justifiable, it cant be said for a simple appendectomy (assuming she has ever heard of laparoscopy)

The true motive for this is estacode. If it is not I challenge her to refund whatever expenses charged to the govt

Bye the way, and from a surgical point of view, appendectomy in a middle aged women is not a minor procedure, because many times it's always complicated by ovarian, uterine, and even colon cancer.
Then appendicitis becomes a mere complication not the problem. We havent heard any of her media handlers say she has a malignancy remotely associated to the list you so eloquently made out
Politics › Re: Minister Flown Abroad For Surgery by Pennywise(m): 5:02pm On Apr 09, 2011
They should at least tell the tax pay payers where the surgery was done and for how much including expenses for hotel and accommodation, feeding, ticket etc for Madeziani and her staff.

@Harakiri,
U are blazing a trail on NL properties with these pics. I say well done.It will be nice though if u can take things a little forward by adding price tag. There maybe a thousand and one reasons not to but it is best for you and prospective clients. Your buyer may not be someone in the market for properties but an opportunity-seeking investor who has been attracted by the price u are willing to sell.

Nice question. Used to roll with a pal during unidays. We had spectacular tastes in babes those days (like I do now!!). I thought only Ms Universe will be good enough for my friend until we got together on fb not long ago. Of course no way I was going to ask how come? These are extremely sensitive matters one can only discuss in an anonymous forum.

When a guy is a loser and a no-hoper with a fine face and the girl is an unattractive princess, the answer is fairly obvious.

But the reason is far less certain when the guy is in an A-class profession, on top of the food chain, great looks and height, born with silver spoon and a passport that can take u anywhere in the world.

One has no choice but to agree that beauty is indeed in the eyes of the beholder.
