Samunosuke: I bought their shares during the initial public offering and since then I haven't cashed any of the dividends I've received. Is it possible to cash dividends as far back as 2007/2008? If so, how do I do that? Thanks all.
Yes it is possible, go to Afri prudential registrars on Ikorodu road with proof of ID. and a banker's confirmation of signature (just in case they dont have your specimen signature on their systems).

They should be able to give you your past dividend warrants
InvestmentUBA To Pay Dividend Of 60 Kobo? by perewesley(op): 12:58pm On Apr 15, 2013
Credible speculative information has revealed that UBA PLC would reward its shareholders with a bumper dividend payout.

The above information is anchored on a comment made by the Group Managing Director exactly one year ago!!!

I envision and predict a dividend payout of 60kobo per share, considering their EPS,

I also envision that when the release their corporate action and 1st quarter result, UBA's share price would hit 12 Naira...

Zenith Bank To Reward Shareholders With 1.50 Naira

Reliable insider information has revealed that Zenith Bank Plc would reward its shareholders with N1.50 dividend for the year ending December 2012.

This is due to an impressive performance in 2012. Zenith Bank had in the nine-month ended September 30, 2012, given indication of a bounteous harvest with impressive results. The bank ended the nine months with profit before tax of N75 billion and profit after tax of N64 billion.

"The board of the bank has met, looked at the results and has made their dividend recommendation. The accounts are with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for approval and what I can tell you is that shareholders should expect an increase of over 30 per cent in dividends for the 2012 financial year,"

zinosleek: thanks sir, so i can go to any bank to convert my certificate to cash,
Please stop spreading false information, you cannot walk into a bank and convert your certificate to cash, that's riddiculous!
You'd have to open an account with CSCS via your stock broker, then give your stock broker the certificate to verify them with CSCS.
Having done the verification, your share holdings would be lodged with the CSCS, then you can instruct your broker to sell.
And one last thing, there are so many epilethic stock brokers out there so be mindful about the one you choose. I'd recommend Investment one financial services ltd...you can check their website- Investment-one.com

you obviously did not read my post, i did not blame them for migrating, the issue at hand is the way the situation was handled
Kobojunkie: Apparently, Makoko is 200 years old, older than Lagos state itself. Should we take a new look at the situation here.

How can you celebrate the demolition of a 200 year old settlement, simply on grounds that you want to blame the people for the problem of Urban migration?
PoliticsRe: Makoko’s Demolition: Lagos, PDP Disagree by perewesley(m): 11:44pm On Jul 25, 2012
It breaks my heart to see the level of some peoples reasoning ability, the presence of slums in cities is a global problem, instead of celebrating the demolition of makoko and urging people to go back to their villages, what are we doing to obviate slum proliferation...@ those advocating for people to go back to their villages, have you ever heard of rural urban migration? it has always happened and the projection is that it would continue at an astronomical rate, now my question is what is the Lagos state government's plan to address the shortage in the housing stock, or better still to address the issues of rapid urbanization and slum development? considering population projections which predict that Lagos is going to be the 2nd most populous city in the world after Tokyo by 2050!
we basically do not plan in Nigeria, ask any state government in Nigeria, what's your urban development plan for the next 4 years, they are absolutely clueless! smh

Okija_juju: Fhuck the UN.. They encourage slum dwelling and then turn around to go their to carry out surveys to determine how poor we are or how wretched we are.. Fhuck them!!!

We do our shit the way we know how... We dont have to follow their principles, they are not the boss of us.. We displaced those illegal squatter, now they can relocate.. we can now develope that place.. Where ever those illegal immigrants go to next, when ever development catches up with them they will have an experience to fall back on!!!

Fhuck the UN again!!
You have just spoken like a truely ignorant Nigerian, how does the UN encourage slum dwelling? If only our goverment was sincere and less corrupt maybe they would have initiated a social housing program for the urban poor
PoliticsRe: Makoko’s Demolition: Lagos, PDP Disagree by perewesley(m): 4:43pm On Jul 24, 2012
and by the way some cartoon headed naira landers are shouting that he gave them time to relocate..heard they were given only 72 hours, thats appaling, under law, the notice on such evictions should be 21 days, at least give the people some time to relocate back to their village or were ever they came from
PoliticsRe: Makoko’s Demolition: Lagos, PDP Disagree by perewesley(m): 4:40pm On Jul 24, 2012
slum clearance is an archaic way of addressing the issue of slum settlements, it is inhumane and is seriously discouraged by the UN, it just goes to show how backward we really are. From an urban planning perspective, mechanisms like slum upgrading, or selective displacement and relocation can be utilized, If only the all wise BRF had knowledgable planners in his cabinent or if he consulted the planning apparatus, he would have been advised that slum clearance is no good, it only recycles the slum proliferation process..sluw dwellers would simply move else were and set up another slum, so in reality fashola just moved the makoko slum else were.

PoliticsRe: Kidnappings: How Safe Are Nigerians? by perewesley(m): 11:42am On Aug 29, 2009
v--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
@Topic

It's unfortunate but as things are, no one is safe even those that earn honest living.Too bad.

@Kidnappers

I know most of you are educated, therefore i know some of you surf through these forums from time to time (I'm referring to active kidnappers and those planning to kidnap). Please, anything worth doing should be worth doing well.If you are to kidnap, please go after those causing you despair, go after those in power. All roads lead to PDP camp.Quit kidnapping people who struggled to be what they are today through blood, sweat and tears.I empathize with some of you (especially the militants) but if you come around me or any of my family and i happen to be around, we will shoot ourselves to death.I mean it.I have an unlicensed TEC 9 and i don't care about your AK47's.We will exchange fire from dusk till dawn.

There are thousands of delicious targets out there e.g the president, president wife, president children, relations and so on.Governors, senators, dem dey there.Leave struggling Nigerians alone. It's senseless and without cause. It makes no sense. If you don't have the balls to do it then you have two options. You either continue to struggle from hand to mouth as always or drink poison and die.Simple as that. However, if you need some pointers on how to kidnap the president, here are some hints.

Here's what you need to kidnap the president :

(1)50-60 able bodied who are ready to die for the cause
(2)Anti-tank/Anti-aircraft rockets (with launchers of course)
(3)GPMG's and a few M16's (forget AK47's.They ain't all that)
(4)2-3 trained snipers
(5)C4 or SEMTEX explosives
(6)High projectile/caliber resistant body Armour

Set up an ambush.Take out all the body guards and whatever feeble security the president has with anti-tank rockets (some of the cars might be bullet proof but none are missile proof. This can be launched from a portable launcher.Kill everyone in sight.Leave no witnesses. There are all thieves. After this, split into three groups. One goes in to get the president and the others cover all areas against some gallant "mopol" that would like to join the game with their little AK47's.Repress them with GPMG's and if they want to be "Rambo", take them out with rockets.Go in for the president. If he refuses to come out of the bullet proof car, plant Semtex on the windscreen and time it for 15 secs. The "rat" will run out with full speed.Disable the Semtex.Affix it to a jacket and wear it on him and make sure it's not "fail safe".That means, if anyone security agent tries to act "James Bond", the president gets blown to smithereens.

Add in your own ideas but dis na the basics.

9s 0ne there bro------but who wan sacrifice e life go dey do rambo with rpg and gpmg-----nigerians love their life die!!!!!
