ToyBoyAaron: I am shock to come across this.. What I saw on YouTube about him was totally different. How he paid arias of 10 years, built structures etc... I don't understand again... Compared to other candidates he's way better. I have made my findings and stand my ground. Obi 2023 The people who made these posts actually lived in Anambra during Obi's tenure. They weren't told about Obi or needed to watch his achievements on YouTube. They lived through his government. Yet you that have probably never been to Anambra is talking about YouTube. Speaking of arrears, is there any Governor that haven paid arrears before? |

Believeintruth: Try and argue sensibly bro. You want proof that he was liked in Anambra, please do you vote for whom you don't like? What was his performance in 2023 presidential elections in Anambra? Try and have sense I love this. It means everyone who voted Tinubu liked him, contrary to what you lots have been saying. |

teeteepeejay: I am not against any of the reforms. I am against having everything at a go. A good leader must be able to make a right decision at a right time. You think if Tinubu had not removed fuel subsidy on his first day he would have been able to remove it again? You think labour union, oppositions, student union and every other association would have allowed him? Removing it on the first day took everyone unaware and they must have felt powerless to protest against a President on his first day or first week in office. Fuel subsidy had to go and the time it went was the best time. Look at common tax bill that have been dragging on for more than 4 months now. |

Politics › Na PBAT Wey Wan Do Reform I Blame. by Perfectbeing(op): 7:29pm On Feb 21, 2025 |
He should have followed the populist line. It's simple. Just ask Cardoso to issue N20trn in ways and means. Mop up lower denominations of the currency and issue 5k, 10k, and 20k notes.
Leave the interest rate and blast the money on fuel subsidy. Ask JP Morgan for more funds, and use NLNG as collateral to defend the Naira, sell more oil in the futures market. Maintain the fuel price and FX rate. If the black market hits N4,000, let it be so as long as the official rate is N500. If we default on payment of our loan obligations, let everyone face the consequences. Tell NNPC to provide 6 months of fuel supply stock and manage 6 months of scarcity and fuel queues.
Burn the reserves, nobody cares, let imports be scare, there is enough Naira to pay any amount for goods. Issue another ways and means and increase minimum wage. There is no need for any tax reform. Just continue to pump Naira at any cost into the economy. Redenominate the currency in 2026 like Ghana and remove 2 Zeros before the elections.
Check out after 8 years for the next person. |

Sheuns: A true leader is judged based on his empathy towards his people and not the ability to make decisions that will put them in misery.
Tinubu’s predecessors showed empathy, they could not fight those that diverted the subsidy and chose not to tow the easy path, which is punish millions of Nigerians for the sins of a few stealing the money for subsidies.
Tinubu on the other hand chose the easy path which appears to be much more cruel to the masses. If he were to be a “General” as you tagged him, or half as brave as you call him, why did he not go after the subsidy fraudsters? A true leader is one who will make the right decision at the right time. Nigeria was spending N18bn daily to subsidize fuel. We were using 96% of our revenue to service debts. Oil production was a high time low. There was no dollar to repatraite to foreign airlines. Subsidy had to be removed. There was no other way. |

Corrupt politicians and their corrupted news media are using the term "subsidy removal" justify criminal massive fuel price hikes that they don't account for and loot and squander the earnings from the price hikes. So what did PitObi promise to remove if he was elected? Maybe the next thing you'll say is that Nigeria wasn't defending the naira with $1.5bn monthly before Tinubu stopped it. |

General Obasanjo was a 5* Gen who tried to remove fuel Subsidy 4 times. 4 times he failed to remove it due to massive resistance from Nigerians. in 8yrs Obasanjo spent over $16billion on fuel Subsidy despite increasing Petrol from N11 to N85 (800%)
General Buhari was another former military 5* General who removed Subsidy in 2016 after spending $6billion in 2yrs. He was forced to reintroduced the subsidy in 2017. In fairness to him he was able to remove diesel and kerosene subsidy.. but failed to remove subsidy from the big elephant in the room... Petrol.... despite fixing dates severally to remove the subsidy Buhari couldn't muster enough courage to end the subsidy and ended up spending over $26billion on fuel Subsidy in 8yrs.,
in 16yrs two retired Generals spent $42billion on fuel Subsidy...
This was enough to fix Ajaokuta steel, the four refineries, and generate over 30,000Mw of electricity....
BAT a General in leadership vowed to remove fuel Subsidy when voted as president... true to his words... Subsidy is gone..... Despite the resistance from wailers, minors, NLC , TUC, CSOs, PDP, LP and others... Gen BAT has succeeded where other Generals failed.... after 18 months in power NGR has saved over $10billion
" Don't ask me where they saved it because am not responsible for your attending School without acquiring knowledge....
in the next 16yrs NGR would save more than $200billion that would have been spent on petrol Subsidy... more than enough to generate constant Electricity, world class roads, rails, hospitals among others...
Every great nation of today are enjoying the sacrifice made by their forefathers...
in the next 16 yrs our kids will be proud of us that stood like rock of Gibraltar with BAT copy. Copied from Onovughe Igwe |
