Religion / I Will Not Allow My Son To Read Some Parts Of The Bible Until He Is In His 20s by petekayo(m): 11:38am On Dec 01, 2018
A Nigeria father says he will not allow his own son to read some part of the Holy Bible until he is above 20. According to him, he feels there are some part of the holy book he can’t explain to him.

Chike Delic Obi wrote:

There are parts of the Bible I can’t let my son read or hear about until he’s in the teens.

How do I explain to him that a ‘holy’ prophet sent bears to devour 42 children for mocking his baldness? 2 Kings 2: 23-25

This same bald head I have.

How do I explain to a child that a man was killed by God for pulling out and not getting his dead brother’s wife pregnant? Gen 38:9

How do I explain that God hated Esau before he was born without going into the murky waters of predestination vs free will? Rom 9: 11-13

How do I explain SLAVERY?

That it wasn’t expressly commanded against but was actually regulated including how to beat them and get away with their murder if they die after a few days. Ex 21: 20-21

How do I explain that verses in the Bible were used as an excuse to enslave his ancestors and convince them it was God’s will for them to obey their masters as unto the lord? Eph 6:5

How do I explain that women and children were killed for the sins of their husband/ fathers? Num 16: 27-33 (and more)

How do I explain that a man offered his virgin daughter to men that want to rape his male guests (and they actually rape her to death)? Gen 19: 8

AND SO MUCH MORE.

Someone gave us a Children’s picture Bible with story of the bald prophet and other disturbing content. I have long removed it from my house so he doesn’t see it. Just like I won’t expose him to violent and sexually explicit movies and books.

Romance / Nigerian Lady Whose Sex Tape With A Pastor Went Viral Finally Speaks Out by petekayo(m): 9:26pm On Oct 31, 2018
Nigerian lady whose sex tape went viral few weeks ago has narrated what transpired between herself and pastor Chris Omatsola before the sex tape was released. According to the lady, identified as Princess Tamaratokoni Okpewho, the sex tape was released by pastor Chris Omatsola because she broke up with him.

Also another lady, identified as Rita Egwu who shared the story on her Facebook page said the sex tape was not released by a phone repairer but by the pastor himself.

Read Princess Tamaratokoni story below:

I met Apostle Chris Kevwe Omatsola, an author, the founder and presiding pastor of Zionwealth of Life Assembly (Zola) in Lekki, Lagos and we started dating in February 2018. It quickly escalated to become a sexual relationship and when we had sex the first time, he told me he was human to have such feelings inspite of the fact that he was a pastor and because he was madly in love with me, we should make it right by getting married. I was in love and was ready to do anything for him. We continued our romance and one of the things we did together was recording videos and taking pictures of our intimacy.

I informed my mum about a guy coming for my hand in marriage and she said was going to pray about it. Everything was rosy until he became violent and constantly beat me up till I bled (I have pictures of my bruises). He came begging after each episode and I forgave him because I thought I was in love. The vicious cycle continued (He would beat me, come back pleading, and I would accept him back).

Lady whose sex tape with Nigerian pastor leaked finally spills all (photos/video)

Fast forward to late July, there was no response from my mum about bringing him to her as my intended spouse. I was also beginning to develop cold feet about the relationship as the violence increased. He was very temperamental and we had series of altercations which eventually degenerated to more beatings. In August, I called off the relationship and I was surprised he accepted it in good faith initially given his penchant for violence. We agreed to remain friends, but he just wouldn’t let go…crying, begging and prostrating on many occasions.

Sometime in August, he asked that we meet up to talk on platonic grounds. After sometime during the meeting, he got really hostile with me upon realizing that I had moved on and wasn’t interested in making out with him. He also refused to drop me off at home. He beat me up, seized my phone, forced me to unlock it and retrieved a lot of contacts from it just to track who I was seeing. That was the final straw for me so I never saw him again till September when he showed up at my place, crying and begging. I refused to fall for his tricks this time and there was no further communication from both sides till sometime early October when he apologized yet again for all what he did.

On the 13th of October, he contacted me with an anonymous number via WhatsApp with pictures, videos and threat messages saying if I didn’t come back to him he was going to release everything. I profusely pleaded with him and also called everyone I knew to help beg him. A family friend called him and he promised he wasn’t going to release them, that he was just angry with me, he was trying to get my attention and hopefully win me back. I was calm after hearing this about 12noon that day.

Shockingly, at about 7pm that same day, I started getting calls from all my contacts about my nudes (pictures and videos) circulating all over the internet. A strange number also sent them to me via WhatsApp….my friends, my family and everyone on my contact list (recall he forcefully got the contacts from me in August). He even sent them to the same family friend who had earlier called to plead with him!

He was arrested the next day and didn’t deny posting the pictures and videos (there is a recording to this effect). According to him, he activated WhatsApp on someone’s number (a former girlfriend of his) and used the number to send the pictures and videos to my contacts and his church WhatsApp group. This went viral in a matter of minutes. Before he was arrested, a distraught me contacted him to ask why he eventually released them after he had promised not to. He said that now that my pictures and videos were out there, no man would want to look my way again, that it was best we got married and informed the world that we are a couple and its our business.

After the arrest, in the presence of his Dad, he yet again confessed to releasing the pictures and videos himself and admitted he was wrong. He apologized to myself, my family, his family and the general public. This was recorded 19th October 2018 and I am in possession of this video. He even accepted to pay for damages. We accepted his apology and thought we had laid this to rest.

We woke up Sunday morning (28th October 2018) only to discover that he had released yet another video, recanted his previous apology and claimed that the recording of the nudes and pictures happened when he was an unbeliever in the world. He even shed crocodile tears during the recording to make him appear like he was the victim. Chris and I started dating in February 2018 and the recording of nudes was done during the relationship (Feb 2018 – Aug 2018). There are currently posts from his church blog on the internet dated as far back as December 16th 2014 (http://zolanigeria..com/…/zola-raising-zolite-army.…) which is proof that the church had been in existence for some time. So how could we have recorded the videos when he was in the world, when we only met and started dating February this year and he had been a pastor long before we met? When exactly was he in the world

I was wrong to have been involved in premarital sex with a pastor. I was wrong to have allowed him persuade me to record our intimate moments. I was wrong to have continued dating a violent man. I have been having sleepless nights thinking about the consequences of all I did and wondering how to get past this, how to move on. My family and friends see me differently. A lot of people look at me and whisper when they see me pass. I have been fielding questions from my colleagues. I hope that this will pass soon.

Apostle Chris Kevwe Omatsola is an unremorseful vengeful liar and a psychopath who will not stop until he destroys me and I have no clue what he wants from me. My only offence is that I refused to continue to be abused physically, verbally and emotionally and called off our violent relationship. I moved houses when he started stalking me and he still managed to locate my new place. I have waived anonymity and come out to refute all his lies. I fear for my life and that of my family and friends who are supporting me. I feel helpless and vulnerable and I don’t know what his next move will be.

Politics / Nigerians Will Choose Between Lifeless Candidate And Job Provider - Atiku by petekayo(m): 10:45am On Oct 09, 2018
Atiku Abbakar, the presidential candidate of Peoples's Democratic Party (PDP) says in 2019 election, Nigerians will choose between him a job provider and President Buhari who he directly referred as a lifeless opponent.

In a statement released by his media office yesterday, Atiku said Nigerians have a choice of a man who will provide an efficient and business-friendly solution to the herdsmen crisis and a man whose government said ‘giving land for cattle ranching is better than death.

“The choice before Nigerians in 2019 is a simple one. Nigerians have a choice of electing a lively candidate with a record of providing 50,000 jobs to Nigerians in his private capacity versus the lifelessness (apologies to President Donald Trump) of a candidate under whom Nigeria lost 11 million jobs and became the world headquarters for extreme poverty. Nigerians have a choice of a man who will provide an efficient and business-friendly solution to the herdsmen crisis and a man whose government said ‘giving land for cattle ranching is better than death. It is very obvious that faced with such a choice, Nigerians would definitely vote for the man who will Get Nigeria Working Again, hence we are not surprised by this desperate statement from the Buhari administration that is so shameless that they made a man implicated in framing a man of God on spurious charges as their spokesman. If he can lie against a man of God, should Nigerians believe anything he says about the PDP and its candidate?.

We are not surprised that there is confusion in the President’s camp. We expected that they would be thrown into a catatonic state knowing that Atiku Abubabakr’s emergence automatically means the coming to an end of their ignominious reign. That much was admitted by the President’s former running mate, Pastor Tunde Bakare, when he praised the emergence of Atiku as an ‘eagle’ and ‘a cosmopolitan wazobia’ politician.

“Obviously, Pastor Tunde Bakare has foreseen that the era of 97 per cent versus five per cent has come to an end with the emergence of the pan-Nigerian Atiku Abubakar.”

“We ask, how can the Buhari Campaign Organisation disparage the PDP primary that produced Atiku, when even the President’s own wife, Aisha Buhari, has condemned the APC’s primary? Not only did Mrs Buhari condemn the APC’s primaries, she described them as ‘unfair’ and lacking in integrity. Who can know President Buhari better than his wife?”

“Nigerians know that Atiku Abubakar is the most investigated politician in Nigeria and any smear by the Buhari administration remains just that. “Withthe vindictiveness of President Buhari, he would have arrested Atiku if he had been found wanting. However, to set the record straight, we want to remind Nigerians that the PDP’s primaries were genuine, free and fair.  Atiku Abubakar got 1,532 votes in a contest televised live to millions of Nigerians. The APC’s primary, on the other hand, was a study in dictatorship and corruption. The sole candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, scored almost 15 million votes. How could that occur without rigging or manufacturing of faceless voters?

“No wonder Transparency International rated Nigeria as more corrupt today under Buhari, than just three years ago when the PDP was in power. The scandals are too numerous, including the $25bn NNPC contracts awarded without due process, the several padded budgets, the $41m Ikoyi Apartment scandal, the recall, reinstatement and double promotion of an alleged pension thief and Buhari financier, Abdulrasheed Maina, the N200m grass cutting scandal, and many others too numerous to mention''.

Politics / Aisha Buhari Accuses Adams Oshiomole And APC Leaders Of Impunity And Unfairness by petekayo(m): 4:53pm On Oct 07, 2018
The wife of President Buhari, Aisha Buhari has accused Adams Oshiomole and the leaders of All Progressives Congress(APC) of impunity and unfairnes in the just concluded APC primaries across Nigeria. She wrote;

It is disheartening to note that some aspirants used their hard earned money to purchase nomination forms, got screened, cleared and campaigned vigorously yet found their names omitted on Election Day, these forms were bought at exorbitant prices.

Many others contested and yet had their result delayed. Fully knowing that AUTOMATIC tickets have been given to other people.

All Progressives Congress being a party whose cardinal principle is change and headed by a comrade/ activist whose main concern is for the common man, yet, such impunity could take place under its watch.

Given this development one will not hesitate than DISSOCIATE from such unfairness, be neutral and speak for the voiceless.

It is important for the populace to rise against impunity and for voters to demand from aspirants to be committed to the provision of basic amenities such as:
1. Potable drinking water
2. Basic health care ( Primary Health Care centers)
3. Education within conducive & appropriate learning environments.

Let us vote wisely !!!!
LONG LIVE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA!

Politics / Full Text Of President Buhari Acceptance Speech As APC Presidential Candidate by petekayo(m): 2:12pm On Oct 07, 2018
The full text of the acceptance speech by President Buhari as All Progressives Congress(APC) presidential candidate of the in the 2019 presidential elections.

I wish to express my sincere gratitude to the Chairman and members of the Convention Committee for planning and conducting this convention. The same appreciation goes to the chairmen of National and State Executive Committees of our party. Thank you very much for doing a difficult job well.

2. I would like to pay tribute to Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Chief Bisi Akande the first chairman of our great Party and to Chief John Oyegun who led the party until this year and all the APC Governors.

3. The result of the presidential primaries of the All Progressives Congress this time is different because I am the only candidate. I thank all other eligible candidates who deferred to me in the interest of our party unity and over-all national stability.

4. Fellow party members, it is with a deep sense of humility that I stand before you today to accept the nomination of our party, the All Progressives Congress to be its candidate and flag-bearer in the 2019 presidential elections.

5. As I stand today before you, there is no honour greater than the confidence given to me by all of you when you affirmed my nomination. I thank you for your support. I thank you for your guidance. I thank you for staying committed to the CHANGE agenda.

6. I accept this honour as a tribute and mark of confidence to carry the responsibility as we all join hands to continue the good work of the APC government to 2023 and beyond.

7. We are very proud of our record from 2015 to date:

a. We have arrested and checked the slide to anarchy on the security and economic fronts.

b. Boko Haram is reduced to dastardly attacks on soft targets. Normalcy has returned to much of North East and neighbouring North West states.

c. Our currency has stabilised. Our reserves are now $44 billion, a lot higher than we had in 2015.

d. Power generation capacity has reached 8,000 megawatts against less than 4,600 when we came into office. As we invest in new power generation infrastructure we are strenuously working to address the legacy deficiencies and challenges of transmission and distribution networks across the country.

e. We are executing Independent Power Projects in 9 Federal Universities to deliver uninterrupted power supply and we intend to expand to a total of 37 Universities

f. We have revived most of our capacity to produce fertilisers locally.

g. The Government through its Anchor Borrowers Programme and other incentives has empowered more than 2 million farmers to go back to the land. We now produce 80% of our rice requirements. Many farmers who nearly lost hope are now millionaires.

h. We have introduced primary school feeding programmes to encourage attendance and enrolment. We also have introduced the conditional cash transfer to help small and medium businesses, the men, the women and young people who drive our economy.

i. We have repaired and are repairing major arterial roads and starting major railway projects with the aim of linking the 36 states with efficient road and rail transportation systems.

j. We are attacking corruption head-on. With international support we are recovering Nigerian stolen assets and applying them to infrastructural developments.

k. Today the corrupt are facing the wrath of law and leakages have been generally blocked.

Mr. Chairman, Your Excellencies, Members of the APC.

8. We can be proud of our achievements. CHANGE has come. Ladies and Gentlemen, fellow Nigerians, think how much PDP Governments earned between 1999 to 2015. Think what they did with it.

a. Infrastructure down!

b. Security down! 18 local governments of Nigeria under control of a hostile army of insurgents,

c. Reserves depleted!

d. Bankruptcy around the corner.

9. What did they do with your money?

10. Internationally, Nigeria is now respected. My inter-action with foreign heads of state and government has been very encouraging. The international community is very supportive of our efforts to put our country in order.

11. Ladies and gentlemen, Members of APC. I thank you deeply for your support and confidence in me. I will not let you or the people of Nigeria down.

On to victory in 2019!

Long live APC!

Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!

Thank you and God bless you all.

Politics / Nigerian Presidents Are Irresponsible - Bishop Kukah by petekayo(m): 10:50am On Oct 06, 2018
The Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Matthew Hassan Kukah in his address during the annual lecture at the  Ulefunta/Oyemekun festival in Akure, the Ondo State capital said yesterday that no president in the world has the kind of power the Nigerian president has and as such, no president in the world can be as irresponsible as the Nigerian president.

He said Nigeria President power is so much that he can give oil bloc to his girlfriend and many others.

“No President in the world has the kind of power the Nigerian president has and as such, no President in the world can be as irresponsible as the Nigerian President. His power is so much that he can give oil bloc to his girlfriend and many others.

You thus can’t be a man of honour and live in a country like Nigeria and not be angry. What is the problem? It is the dilemma of leadership. In America, there are basic expectations of what a President should be. For instance, he must have gone through Harvard as an institution, he must have language and track record, not even wealth.

You can’t surprise the system. Here in Nigeria, a local government Chairman wants to be Governor; the Governor wants to be President and the President doesn’t want to go! Many states have two governors representing them at the National Assembly.

Governors have control and monopoly of resources of state and they use same resources to oppress them.”

Kukah who is also disturbed by the lack of loyalty on the part of citizens said:

“In Nigeria, it is not a question of looking for trouble because trouble is already here. The Nigerian state has no capacity to protect itself and there is no loyalty to Nigeria from its citizens but to those who help individuals to get to positions in the system."

He also mentioned two past Nigerian leaders who he thinks are good models for leadership.

“Awolowo, for his major quintessential evidence as somebody who already figured out what he would do with power if he got it. He understood the building blocks for an egalitarian society. Aminu Kano single-handedly took on the feudal class in northern society and had a deep understanding of society, even as he textually talked about a free society in a way and manner that didn’t offend religion".

“We have to understand the building blocks of society which is not too different from the rules of building a house. A good society is not different from the building blocks of society. When a building collapses, it didn’t collapse in a day. It began to collapse a long time ago. For us to build a good society, we have to have eyes that monitor the needs, growth and development and feelings of that society. Then you can be sure of the quality of that society." he said

Politics / President Buhari Have Damaged The Lives Of Uncountable Nigerians -ayo Fayose by petekayo(m): 3:44pm On Oct 02, 2018
Ekiti State governor, Ayo Fayose, has said that the 2019 presidential election will be Nigerians versus Buhari and not PDP versus Buhari or PDP versus APC, especially knowing how negatively Buhari has impacted the lives of Nigerians

In a statement released by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, the governor said President Buhari has damaged Nigeria. He has damaged the lives of an uncountable number of Nigerians. The suffering and untold hardship he has brought on Nigeria and Nigerians is unprecedented.

The international community has said corruption under Buhari is worse that in times past. Nigerians themselves know that murderous herdsmen have joined Boko Haram under Buhari and the economy, which was booming under Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, went into recession under Buhari and has remained comatose. For Nigerians, the 2019 election is not about political parties, particularly as it affects Buhari’s presidency.

“The election will be Nigerians versus Buhari and not PDP versus Buhari or PDP versus APC, especially knowing how negatively Buhari has impacted the lives of Nigerians.”

“Buhari has damaged Nigeria. He has damaged the lives of an uncountable number of Nigerians. The suffering and untold hardship he has brought on Nigeria and Nigerians is unprecedented. Most importantly, he has destroyed the trust of Nigerians in the ballot box and the people can’t wait to send him packing so that they can get their country back. In 2019, the same shocker of 2015 will be witnessed and it will be a ruder shock for those who believed in their mastery of election rigging to remain in power.”

“Look at how they subverted the will of the people in Edo, Ondo, Ekiti and the recent Osun governorship elections. The fact they had to rig those elections is a clear testimony that Nigerians have rejected Buhari and his party. They resorted again and again into relying on the security agencies to coerce and intimidate voters. In all the aforementioned elections and other bye-elections across the country, they stole the votes and compromised the electoral process. The European Union, Britain, United States and other election monitoring groups, be it local or international, said as much about the last Osun election.”

Nairaland / General / I Was Once A Prisoner - Gala Seller Who Gave Gala To Prisoners In Lagos by petekayo(m): 12:45pm On Sep 27, 2018
Gala seller, Ibere Ugochukwu, who went viral last month for giving his gala to prisoners going to prison in Ikoyi Lagos shares a touching story why he carried out the selfless act.

According to an online platform, The Humans of New York who he shared the story with, he said he was once a prisoner and his ordeal when he was a prisoner made him to do so.

Read his touching story below;

”A few years ago I worked as an apprentice in a cosmetics shop. I was supposed to receive a payment at the end of my term. But I was warned by the other employees that the owner would find a reason not to pay me. He’d always invent reasons to fire his boys right before their payment. So I made the decision to quit. But when I told him, he dragged me to the police. He told them lies about me. He told them I’d stolen so much money. And they tortured me. They tied my hands and legs and they hung me from the ceiling. They beat me. I went deaf from all the slaps.

For ten days I was given no food. My fellow prisoners would share little bits of their meals when they were finished. But some days I saw nothing. Honestly I was about to die. And I started to pray to God. And on the tenth day, the guards decided that it would cause too much trouble to let me die. They told my employer: After what we did to him, he must be innocent. Because he’d have confessed if he was guilty.

They released me into the world like a madman. And I’ve carried the memory ever since. I promised myself that if I ever found someone in a similar situation, I would help. So when I learned that prisoners pass down this road, I chose to hawk in this location. I waited until I finally saw the truck, and I pushed all my food through the bars. My fellow vendors couldn’t believe it. They asked me who would pay me for the food. I told them: ‘I didn’t do it for any man. I did it because of what God did for me. Ibere hopes to enter the seminary one day. He’s selling food to save money for this goal, as well as to support his family back in the village. In the meantime he wants to open his own shop selling foodstuffs. Alongside the donations from inspired Nigerians who heard his story, $3000 was given to him from the HONY Patreon.”

Crime / Aisha Buhari Orders The Arrest Of Her ADC For Stealing Her N2.5billion by petekayo(m): 6:32pm On Sep 25, 2018
The wife of President Buhari has ordered the arrest of her Aide De Camp for defrauding her of N2.5billion.

According to PremiumTimes, the president’s wife is alleging that Sani Baba-Inna, a chief superintendent of police, received huge donations from politicians and business people on her behalf and then kept the cash to himself.

Mrs Buhari therefore requested the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, to arrest and compel Mr. Baba-Inna to refund the money, put at over N2.5billion.

The police officer was arrested Friday and has remained in detention ever since, with relatives having no access to him, says the family members.

However, an associate of the embattled police officer said Mr. Baba-Inna strongly denied the allegation, saying he received no donation from anyone on behalf of his boss. Immediately the police received the petition from Mrs Buhari, the ADC was arrested on Friday last week and investigation launched.

“The Inspector General of Police said the matter must be investigated immediately and the house of the ADC was raided,”

“Shockingly, investigators only found N1,200 cash in the House. His bank account was also investigated and had only a balance of N30,000 while the transaction records showed that most credits to the account were his salaries and allowances.”

The police concluded that Mrs Buhari must have been wrongly informed as there was nothing to show or prove that such huge sums of money was in the custody of Mr Baba-Inna.

An associate of Mr. Baba-Inna said the police contacted those named as donors of the controversial funds but that they all denied making the donations attributed to them.

“For instance, one of those named was the IG of Police himself,”

“But the IG said he has never passed any money through Baba-Inna.”

When Mrs Buhari was informed of the outcome of police investigation, the source said the first lady flared up and accused the police of colluding “to protect one of their own”.

She then reportedly asked the State Security Service (SSS) to take over the case and get her money back”.

On the orders of the wife of the president, SSS operatives reportedly took custody of Mr Baba Inna.

However, the spokesperson for the SSS, Peter Afunanya said he was not aware of Mr Baba-Inna’s arrest by his agency.

“You are just telling me now, I am not aware, but if there is anything like that I will get back to you,” he said.

In the same vein, the spokesperson of the police, Jimoh Moshood, said “I am not aware.”

But Hassana, the wife of Mr Baba-Inna confirmed her husband’s arrest.

She also said she “has not been able to speak with him since he was taken away”.

When contacted, the spokesperson of the wife of the president, Suleiman Haruna, said although he heard about the matter, he was trying to get details from Mrs Buhari, who he said is currently travelling in New York.

Politics / Jide Sanwo-olu Has Declared His Intention To Run For Governor Of Lagos State. by petekayo(m): 7:39am On Sep 17, 2018
APC aspirant, Babajide Sanwoolu, yesterday declared his intention to contest for the Governor of Lagos State at the City Hall, Lagos Island.

Read his full speech below:

All protocols observed.

With great enthusiasm and encouragement of family, friends, associates and well-wishers, I want to express my sincere thanks to everyone for creating the time to participate in this historic event of my declaration to contest the 2019 governorship election in Lagos State on the platform of our party, the All Progressives Congress.

Since 1922, when the first election was decreed in Lagos, our history has been shaped by the values of democratization and the primacy of the people in deciding who rules them. The process has thrown up great men like Herbert Macaulay, Sir Kitoye Ajasa, Dr. John Randle, Sapara Williams, Henry Carr, Candido da Rocha, Dr. Adeniyi Jones and Dr. Caulcrick among others. May the souls of these great Lagosians continue to rest in peace.
There is no way to review the history of Lagos in the last 50 years without placing on record the contributions of Brigadier Mobolaji Johnson, the first ever governor of Lagos State, Pa Lateef Jakande, the first civilian Governor and many other helmsmen who led the development of our people.

Modern Lagos State since the inception of the current civilian republic has been blessed with innovators and visionaries. Permit me to recognize, specially, the man who laid the foundation for the modernization of Lagos State; the celebrated tactician and renowned certified accountant who has applied his knowledge to democracy and development, our national leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The press, as ‘‘The Fourth Estate of The Realm’’, has planted in our consciousness the courage displayed by our leader in reforming and modernizing the revenue collection operations of Lagos State, converting government operations from analogue to digital and establishing a transparent, measurable and predictable system for running Lagos as a modern smart government.

The preparation of the visionary programme, ‘‘The Lagos State Economic Empowerment & Development Strategy’’ (LEEDS), listing out the path to development of modern Lagos on four pillars across 25 years of expansion continues to provide the development blueprint for our people. This vision, put together by eminent economists and passionate patriots, prepared our State ahead of its growing challenges. It remains to this day the most concrete manifestation of Asiwaju’s leadership and love for the great people of our State. I feel privileged to be part of the process that made it happen. I assure you all that it shall continue to be the roadmap when I become the next civilian governor of our dear State.

This foundation has survived the test of time because Asiwaju was able to recruit excellent and brilliant successors. But without the ratification of these men by Lagosians who voted massively for them during the general elections, his wish could not have become the popular choices of the people.

I wish to commend the former Governor of Lagos State,Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN, for his contributions to this glorious path.
I am inspired by the courage and achievements of all the leaders who have charted the path of development for our great LAGOS. I have decided, like the great American President John F. Kennedy, not to continue to wait for what my State shall do for me, but to challenge myself on what to do for my State.

When I look back at my experience in public sector, I realise that God has prepared me for this moment. I served Lagos State Government for the first time as a Special Adviser to the then deputy Governor,Otunba Femi Pedro.

I believe that my contributions to the governing process made possible my appointment as the Acting Honourable Commissioner for Economic Planning &Budget and later Commissioner for Commerce & Industry in the final months of the Asiwaju Bola Tinubu administration. Following the inauguration of the Fashola administration, I was appointed the Honourable Commissioner for Establishment, Training and Pensions.

My public sector career has crowned the glorious achievement of my journey through the private sector where I had worked in senior managerial positions in financial institutions such as Lead Merchant Bank, United Bank for Africa (UBA), First Atlantic Bank (now FCMB) and participated in major economic projects such as the privatization and commercialization of Federal Government-owned companies and parastatals.

The All Progressives Congress has been established as a grassroots party of the workers, artisans, middle class professionals and all those who desire the progressive development of Nigeria. The manifesto of our party promises welfarist programmes and building the capacity of our economy so that we can provide jobs for the youths and make our country stable and secure.

• These are the values that I believe in.
• These are the values I am ready to defend.
• These are the values I am determined to propagate.
• These are the values that drive my present desire.

If elected, I shall immediately embark on the full restoration of the glory of Lagos and make you the people the cornerstone of government revamp the environment that has become a cause of serious anxiety to Lagosians and relieve Lagos of the persistent gridlocks that have made our lives brutish and nasty.

Our government’s focal point shall be to provide the greatest good for the greatest number of the people of Lagos State.

I have invited you here today to join me in the journey to take Lagos State to a new dimension by transforming the manifesto of our party to the programme of action. I am sending a clarion call to our party members, men and women, youth and the elderly, that there is a lot of work to be done to achieve the Lagos of our dreams.

I present myself as a capable, competent and tested hand to make Lagos greater.

I declare that, I, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-olu shall be a true party man in the real definition of the word by running an inclusive government according to the ideology of the APC and the long-term benefits of the great citizens of Lagos State. Loyalty is the currency of politics. I shall be loyal to the people of Lagos State, the organs and the leadership of the party.

I call on party members and citizens to join me to elevate our State in all facets of human endeavour through improvements, enlightenment and development.

I urge you all to come out with your membership cards and slips to vote for me at the direct primaries ordered by the party so that we can continue the journey towards peace, order and development for the good people of our dear Lagos State.

History is not made in a day, but it is made on the day that you start to make the labours of the past and the hope for the future the touchstone of our endeavours. That day is today.

I pray that God Almighty shall crown all our efforts with resounding success.

Thank you and God bless.
Long Live the All progressives Congress
Long Live Lagos State
Long Live Federal Republic of Nigeria

Politics / ''you Have No Moral Right To Predict Buhari's Second Term Disasters'' - FG by petekayo(m): 11:08am On Sep 16, 2018
Federal Government replies UK Bank, HSBC after the bank predicted that Buhari's second term raises the risk of limited economic progress and further fiscal deterioration.

Read the full press statement below:

The Presidency wishes to make clear to all Nigerians, and particularly the global banking giant HSBC which said the second term of President Muhammadu Buhari would stunt the economy, that what killed Nigeria’s economy in the past was the unbridled looting of state resources by leaders, the type which was actively supported by HSBC.

A bank that soiled its hand with ‘‘millions of US dollars yet-to-be-recovered Abacha loot’’, and continued until a few months ago to shield the stolen funds of one of the leaders of the Nigerian Senate has no moral right whatsoever to project that a “second term for Mr. Buhari raises the risk of limited economic progress and further fiscal deterioration.”
Rather, we ask them to heed President Buhari’s constant refrain: return our stolen assets, then see how well we will do.

From the facts available to our investigation agencies, HSBC’s put down on President Buhari is no more than an expression of frustration over the administration’s measures put in place which has abolished grand corruption, the type which this bank thrives on in many countries.

They may also just be out to discredit the President out of the fear of sanctions and fines following the national assets that are stolen.
With the coming of President Buhari, it is not a secret that corruption, corrupt individuals, banks and other corporate entities that aided corrupt practices are under investigation for various offenses.

For many of them, including their friends in the media, they would rather have President Buhari out of their way, for business as usual to return.
Our investigation agencies believe that HSBC had laundered more than USD 100,000,000 for the late General Sani Abacha in Jersey, Paris, London and Geneva.

Among these accounts on the records are: AC: S-104460 HSBC Fund Admin Ltd. Jersey ($12,000,000); AC 37060762 HSBC Life (Europe), U.K ($20,000,000) and AC: 38175076 HSBC Bank Plc. U.K ($1,600,000).
The bank is also suspected in the laundering of proceeds of corruption involving more than 50 other Nigerians, including a serving Senator as earlier indicated.

In a book, “Secrecy World: Inside the Panama Papers Investigation”, published in 2017, Jack Bernstein told the story of global money laundering highlighting the unenviable place of the HSBC.

This is a bank that states and federal authorities in the U.S. forced to pay $1.92 billion to settle charges of money laundering; fined $1.2 billion in Hong Kong for “systemic deficiencies” in bond sales and was made to pay $100 million in currency rigging settlement as reported by The Telegraph of 18th January, 2018.

Family / 23 Years Old Girl Shares Her Most Embarrassing Moment In Front Of Her Mum by petekayo(m): 7:23pm On Aug 24, 2018
A twitter user asked her followers to share their most embarrassing moments in front of their parents and this 23 years old girl shared hers and many people find it weird. Read her story below:

“I am 23 years old girl. it happened in front of my mom. I’m from Indian and Indians are generally conservative, but not my family though! My parents are totally open minded, which is totally opposite of the typical Indian parent.

I live in Mumbai. Currently I’m graduating in London. I returned home as soon as vacation started. It was nearly 10 hr flight. My whole body was aching and also I needed some time to get out of the hangover.

I told my parents about this and my mom said that she will give me a massage to which I agreed. In summer it’s common in my family to be only in our underwear inside the house. I was wearing a thong and a bra. I wasn’t able to move much because of the body ache.

Mom started applying oil and massaged my shoulders, back and waist. Trust me it was very soothing. Then she asked me to take off my bra which I did without being hesitant (one Indian thing of my parents is that though I’m 23, I’m still a toddler for them. My mom also helps me in soaping sometimes under the shower lol).

Then she carassed my tits and i felt good, not in a sexual way though. I then made my mom know that my inner thighs were quite sore. So she shifted concentration from my tits and belly to inner thighs. I spread my legs and she applied oil and started massaging.

After 5-6 rounds, mom to me, “It would be better if you take your panty off”. I replied, “you sure about this?”. Mom said, “So now you’re having problems with your mom!” I then took it off and there I was completely naked in front of my mother.

Mom then did what she was doing all along, the massage. Her fingertips were occasionally touching my p*ssy cheeks. I didn’t mind that. After 10-15 minutes, very slowly she started to rub it. I was shocked at what she was doing and ask about it to her.

She replied that it was the only thing now which could make me feel relieved. After 5 minutes of argument, she won eventually. So she started rubbing it and I was giving no reactions. Then mom suggested I close my eyes so that i could feel it.

As soon as I close m eyes, I felt it ! She was rubbing and fingering me ! Yes it was my biological mother and not a step mother. After some intense rubbing and fingering, I finally squirted. I felt very embarrassed.

I didn’t know what to say. But I realised after few moments that my body was actually feeling good after releasing the juices. I was very thankful to my mom for this. That some how increased my confidence.

So this was the most embarrassing moment in front of my mom. Many of you may find it weird but that’s exactly what happened. Though it was embarrassing, it produced excellent result mentally. I’ve gone anonymous because I’ve more than 7k followers on Quora.”

Politics / Osinbajo Is Not A Servant Of God, He’s An Emissary Of Satan –femi Fani-kayode by petekayo(m): 6:23pm On Aug 13, 2018
Femi Fani-Kayode, the former minister of aviation and PDP Chieftain, has called out Nigeria acting president, Yemi Osinbajo, for his statement during the 30th National Biennial Conference of the Students’ Christian Movement of Nigeria which held in Enugu state over the weekend.

Osinbajo said during the conference that most Nigerian pastors now focus on preaching prosperity rather than against corruption.

Fani-Kayode in his reaction, stated that Osinbajo, who is a pastor at the Redeemed Christian Church of God should not have made that comment.

Read what Femi Kayode said about Osinbajo on his facebook account:

”Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has condemned Church leaders for not supporting Buhari’s FAKE anti-corruption war yet he refuses to condemn the genocide, ethnic cleansing and mass murder that Christians have been subjected to in Nigeria. Shame on him!

A so called “Pastor” that refuses to respect CAN, stand up for the Church, protect the rights of Christians and honor the Living God ought to be treated with contempt.

He ought to be excommunicated from the Church and damned for eternity. Supporting and serving those that hate Christians and that seek to wipe out the Christian faith is disgraceful.

Osinbajo represents everything that is treacherous, ungodly, unholy, weak, cowardly, reprehensible and unacceptable.

He is not a servant of God but an emissary of Satan. He has betrayed the Church. He is the Judas of our time”.

Politics / Pdp Chairman, Uche Secondus, Ask Uk Government To Expel President Buhari by petekayo(m): 2:37pm On Aug 08, 2018
PDP National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, has called on British goverment to expel President Buhari, who he accused of hiding in England to commit atrocities in Nigeria. According to his statement released by his media aide, Ike Abonyi, Secondus said the events that unfolded in the National Assembly yesterday is a pointer to the fact that President Buhari left Nigeria for holiday in the UK so he can perpetrate evil, giving people the impression that he is not aware of the atrocities being committed.

He said the siege at the National Assembly leaves no one in doubt that President Buhari and the APC are out to destroy the hard-earned democracy because they can no longer fit into it. He called on President Buhari to resign immediately.

”Nigerians and the international community have continuously watched this administration harass and intimidate the legislature and judiciary as well as others in opposition in their bid to create a dictatorial regime.

The final plan for the invasion of National Assembly was concretised when the Minority Leader, Senator Godswill Akpabio visited the President in London at the weekend. Nigerians and the international community have continuously watched this administration, harass and intimidate the legislature and judiciary as well as others in opposition in their bid to create a dictatorial regime.

Therefore, I call on President Buhari to resign and pave way for the sustenance of democracy since it is now obvious that he has lost legitimacy to continue as an elected President”.

He also commended Vice President Yemi Osinbajo for sacking the Director General of the DSS, Lawan Daura, saying that he showed that Nigeria cannot be hijacked and ruled by a cabal.

Crime / Man Sentenced To Death For Withdrawing Money From Dead Woman’s Phone by petekayo(m): 1:55pm On Aug 04, 2018
Kenyan man Robert Kinisu has been sentenced to death by a court in Kenyan for violently robbing a model that led to her death and withdrawing money from her phone two years ago after he was found guilty by Chief Magistrate.

Robert Kinisu was charged alongside Ali Mkongo with the crime of robbery with violence, but Mkongo was acquitted because the prosecution could not prove he was involved in the violent act.

They two had denied that on June 7 ,2016, robbing Janet Asuna of her belongings which include cellphone, sandwich toaster, an iron box and a mobile charger at Kizingo area in Mombasa County armed with a wooden stool valued at 19,500 and during the time of robbery used personal violence and killed her. Janet was found bludgeoned to death in her mother’s house in the upmarket Kizingo estate.

The Chief Magistrate Julius Nang’ea said the prosecution had proved its case against Kinisu and therefore warranted a death sentence for the accused person.

“The deceased suffered a brutal death and therefore the offender should be get a severe punishment for the same”

A postmodern report produced in court revealed that the victim’s death was caused by blunt force inflicted by an object. The magistrate said the evidence that the deceased was beaten to death had been corroborated with the postmortem results.

He informed the accused person the circumstantial evidence produced in court by the prosecution proved that he was involved in the robbery. He said evidence was tabled in court that Kinisu had withdrawn some money from the victim’s cellphone using his identification card.

The magistrate further alluded the fact that Robert gave an alibi defense before the court, it could not weaken the prosecution’s case. Kinisu had informed the court that during the robbery, he had travelled up country for the burial of his aunt and produced in court a return ticket to and from Bungoma.

The magistrate further said that corroborating evidence made before the court by three Mpesa agents confirmed Robert withdrew money from the deceased phone which was adequate to convict the suspect.

“The same dates Robert said he was not in Mombasa, coincidentally are the same dates that he went withdrawing cash from the deceased’s phone, which makes his evidence not strong before the court,” said Nang’ea.

“The burden of proof to show that the accused person was committed the offense lies with the prosecution, the accused persons defense cannot weaken the prosecution’s case,” added the magistrate.

While testifying in the matter, investigating officer Duncan Amoyo told the court that they suspected the deceased was hit by a wooden stool on the head which caused her death. “The deceased person had a head injury which according to the chief pathologist caused her death in a report produced before the court,” he added.

According to his testimony, the investigating officer said that the mother to the deceased reported that the wooden stool was not found in the previous place where it was placed and that it was broken when they later found it in the house. Amoyo further testified that the prime suspect Kinisu was a person known to the family of the deceased and he repaired the deceased’s shoes on several occasions.

Nairaland / General / British-nigerian Lawmaker, Charged With Lying And Perverting Justice by petekayo(m): 8:06am On Jul 26, 2018
Fiona Onasanya, British-Nigerian Labour MP, along side with her brother has been charged with two counts of seeking to pervert the course of justice by allegedly blaming someone else for speeding offences committed by them prosectors have said.

The 34-year-old former solicitor, who narrowly won the Peterborough constituency at the 2017 election, faced two charges jointly with her younger brother, Festus Onasanya, a 33-year-old singer from Cambridge.

The pair appeared at Westminster magistrates court on 12 July and were due to appear at a court yet to be determined on 13 August. Festus Onasanya also faces a third charge of perverting the course of justice.

Both charges involving the MP, who defeated the long-serving Conservative MP Stewart Jackson by 607 votes at last year’s election, relate to allegedly seeking to blame someone else for speeding offences. Onasanya has not commented. If Onasanya was to be convicted of an offence and it is not known whether she will deny the allegations it could provoke a byelection in a hugely marginal seat.

Under the law, which came into force in 2015 allowing MPs to be recalled, a recall petition could be triggered if a sitting MP has been convicted of an offence and received a jail term of any length, even if it was suspended.

Under earlier rules, MPs were automatically ejected from the Commons if they were jailed for a year or more.
