I dont know if it will be an issue if i decide to fill the form again. I just want to be clear on things i filled. This applies to me as the primary applicant alone. Others are ok. Can i replace the DS-160 Confirmation Number on the appointment page? will this take effect immediately without affecting the appointment details? Thanks for your response

Me: my wife's cousin who's a citizen invited us and will be spending Bleep no of days at Bleep place and Bleep place during the visit

Me: yes with a daughter (carried my daughter. She was sleeping on my shoulders) and stated we are travelling together but my wife had issue with we barcode so she will reschedule her interview

Me: just 1 and we are travelling together with the mother

Me; not had a reason to cz of my tedious job and that's (I included I just flew in from Bleep place ystday from a reconciliation meeting)
VO: hands over a white paper

Here's my observation
Don't lie
Have genuine intention
Know your job responsibility very well
Comport yourself and represent the info you gave in your dS160.
Above all pray for grace and favour.

No document was asked
No travel history but just God's Grace

Good morning and how's the weekend going please I need an urgent reply from you guys please it's very urgent. my interview is next week Monday and I just found an error. my cousin invited me over to the US so when I was choosing my us contact is chose relative for him. but another question was asked Do you have an immediate relative not including parents so I chose YES then I put my cousin name but in the option they gave father,siblings and fiancee and I chose sibling. so please I want to know if this would be an issue for my during my interview. because looking at it immediate relative can be your cousin also but I just found out under immigration law that immediate relative means your parent,siblings or fiancee. please gurus in the house please help me.should I cancel my application and fill another application and also choose another date. would be expecting your swift reply. I'm trying to schedule an appointment with the US embassy. When filling my personal details, a pop up message keeps saying my details match another user. This is my first time logging on the website. I have never asked anyone to apply for a US visa on my behalf.
How can I correct this?
I sent a feedback with passport bio-data page yet nothing has been done on my case. I'm running out of time. This is really fustrating for me.

Applying as a family is your best shot.Dont ever try applying with just a kid leaving the others behind.

For your home ties,your job/business will be responsible for that.

How many years you have been working.

How many years you have been operating your business.

If you are a business owner,who will be incharge of your business during your vacation.

How many staffers do you have.

How long are you staying in the US.

Your income monthly.

The kind of of job/business you are into.

Go with your statement of account should incase the VO ask.

You comportment during interview.

Answering the VO questions confidently.

Filling your DS160 yourself,most of the questions you will be ask will be from there.

Knowing a little about the state you are visiting,and if possible tourist or sight seeing places in that state you intend to visit.

Dress smart,look nice and smell good.

PS : These are just my personal opinion.

@Zimzee I think that was why we were rejected when we applied last year September.We applied with our last baby 1+.She asked how many kids we have and we said 4,she exclaimed 4so why going with just 1?we gave her reasons and she asked other normal questions but we believe it might be the reason for our rejection.Planning to reapply this year though with either all the kids or me and hussy alone.Hope this helps.

My transcript. interview time was 10:30 am. Queue was so long. After biometrics I was interviewed at Window 7 by a young white guy. he was flowing well with the people at my front, a couple, then he denied them. they were so devastated, I got scared.

V.O ; Good morning
Me; Good morning sir,

I handed over to him. types a little then says.
Why are you going to the US?
Me; I'm going to visit my cousin and his family, he invites me for his wedding last October but I couldn't attend because I was so busy with my business, so I promisee to come visiting this Easter.

Me; Yes I am. ( then I remembered my cousin stays in York not Philadelphia. I would have lost this visa if I didnt catch up immediately.

@zimzee read that transcript and decode it. The fellow had no travel history, the V.O weighed her/his school immediately (Check school ranking, we have A'list schools). They ain't psychologist the way we hype them. The said gurus here turned me down like sey I won come win people heart. (who needs that )

My Experience at two USA embassies (Abuja and Oslo)

I currently reside in Norway but booked a USA visa appointment for Abuja in December since I was traveling home for the Christmas holiday. I didn’t know I was making a very big mistake.below is a summary of my experience at the embassy of USA in Abuja and then in Oslo.

I must say that USA sees Nigerians as criminals. Miles away before you get to Abuja Embassy you’ll see all sorts of armors ,a crowd of security personnel like they are expecting a war. they checked us almost 5 times before we got to the real interview. Yet they still denied more than 90 % (including me )

While in this place (Oslo) you won’t even see a human being until you are close enough to touch the entrance door. And the one person you see isn’t armed (even a knife). Yet they approved more than 90% of visas including mine.


In Nigerian the consulars are hostile and behaving like they are giving you the key to heaven while here in Oslo they would even assist you to make sure you get the Visa.

I can’t just explain enough. I didn’t even say one tenth of what I said in Abuja yet it was approved.

Below is the most hilarious part of my experience in Abuja. I spent more than an hour trying to prove to the consular that my norway Visa and resident permit were legit. There was no method I didn’t use. He first took me to a special investigation room, asked me to tell him about norway and where I resides in Norway, the name of the airport in Oslo, how much a bottle of beer costs, the name of my school and the location of the different campuses, asked me to show him some of my results, my Norwegian bank card,my school ID, asked for my school email,he went as far as asking the security people to escort me outside to get my phone so he would see pictures I took in norway, he checked the plate numbers of the cars in the pictures to confirm if they were norway number plate, he went further to send a mail to my school email and asked me to reply. In fact there was no other way I didn’t prove beyond doubt that I resides in Norway.
You wouldn’t believe I was still denied after all.(I was later granted when I reapplied in Oslo in January when I returned from Nigeria)

Later, after I was granted in Oslo I understood the plight of the guys in Abuja. They must have been wondering why someone who would be granted USA Visa almost automatically in Oslo come down to Nigeria to apply for a Visa.

The moral of the story is that you stand a better chance of getting a USA Visa from outside Nigeria than in Nigeria.

why going for asylum for the first place. No war in Nigeria. Apply for business visa and pass due process. that is my opinion. I did it and the respect are there officially. Nigeria is a well respected country, we most keep her respect. I know all fingers are not equal, plan before living.

dont say what you dont know. Everybody I mean everybody can apply for asylum in Germany and entitled to the benefits I already mention in my post above. The asylum may be denied but you have a right to a lawyer in which an appeal may keep you for up to a year before the case can be called up, if u are favoured by God the result will come out favourable but if it turn out to be another negative u also have the right to reapeal. But nobody that has successfully applied for asylum is sleeping on the streets except his asylum has been denied or he dont know what he is doing.

I recommends you Australia ( good economy) , Ukraine ( cheap like Nigeria but clean),Germany ( economy not too bad)

European countries doesn't use Green card.
You can only use Schengen visa for visit and not work.
You can try to use the Schengen visa to enter Turkey and obtain Turkish residence/ work permit
