What did you think?[/quote]Well i think patterns give clues especially most popular ones, the big pattern on the left side of my chart is called a falling wedge meaning its falling to rise and you can see market created double bottom and broke outside the wedge pattern, there is a theory in forex called the 90% rule and this why patterns are important they also help project take profits, the theory states if a market breaks out of a pattern or consolidation of let's say 300 pips, that is the pattern created or consolidation consists of 300pips for instance if price breaks out it will most definitely move for another 300pips, another instance let's say you have double bottom on the 1hr chart and from the leg of the double bottom to the neckline is 50pips when price breaks that neckline it will move another 50pips this theory applies to evey timeframe including monthly, now currently price broke out of a wedge pattern on gold so watch closely how price will go up to the price that created the wedge pattern first or 100% retracement

I got stopped out again then I realized that I was focusing on the small picture. And when I did zoom out I saw that those are losses I wouldn't incur if I was focused. I'd do better from next week.

true market makers can't manipulate prices on the daily or weekly that's why it's important a trader adds analyzing from higher time-frames to his trading plan every week before market opens on monday trust me it'll change your approach just like when i gave the gu swing update first and it took me out i just went to the bigger timeframe and saw it makes sense
