Danyl: Guy, you dey Yan rubbish. As they saying goes, IT IS NOT WHAT AMERICA DID FOR YOU, IT IS WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR AMERICA. IT IS NOT WHAT NIGERIA HAS DONE FOR YOU, IT IS WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR NIGERIA. We always wait for the government to create space for us to get employed. That's where the lazy brain comes into the equation. You think if those countries with good lives have our population, they will be happy. Denmark has a minimum wage of $21 per hr and America has $7 per hr. Idiots be like Denmark, Denmark, Denmark but forgetting the fact that Lagos is more populated than the entire Denmark. Then you want to talk about a country like US where only Texas is bigger than Nigeria. And Population more than 5times our own. People should think of how to better their lives and not wait for the Govt to come do so. We should all try to add to the economy and not wait for the economy to add to our lives. If you graduated from those fields people think are useless, prove them wrong. There are things one can set up and compete with those Dr. I know a third class Chem graduate who is being paid 500,000 per month for teaching Math. And this person bought a house in Lekki from his PP that pays him more than his salary. How many Drs can afford to pay rents in Lekki not to talk of buy houses? You came alone to this world and you should fend for yourselves. You can wait for one person to come and change your life. Because Nigerians are Illiterates, Buhari and APC used your foolishness against all of you. I don't know how a sensible Nigerian will believe: I will build houses for 40m Nigerians....Thats trillions of DOLLARS. I will feed school pupils....that's like 5 trillion naira which is above the country's budget. I will pay every unemployed graduate #5000. #5000, for doing nothing at all to the economy of the country. That's another trillions again. At the end, all them fools believed and now, barely 6 months, they are crying. Please you all have to change. Everyone has a gift. That's why we can all be ok since we can't it all or know it all. Study whatever you want, just know where you're going and worry about how to get there cos that's your only problem in life, getting there!!! 1 Like |

Education / Re: 10 Mistakes That Can Cost You First Class Degree by peterg1759: 5:44pm On Dec 06, 2015 |
olapluto: How many of the billionaires have first class? How many of the inventors were first class graduates? Academics and life challenges aren't the same. Mind you, Bill Gates wasn't the best in his class before he dropped but the best student of that set is a worker in MS while Bill Gates is the owner of MS. I'm not condemning the degree but don't make it look like its the first step towards having a first class life. Tony Blair, former British Prime Minister graduated with third class. What can you say about that? I think Soyinka too has a third class abi? At the end of the day, first class holders will serve under 2.2 n 3rd class holders n Illiterates. Do you know why, First Class graduates are not talented or creative or innovative and the today world is just about that. Get a skill and pay the bills. Messi didn't go to any school but can afford to pay all the first class graduates in the world. that's a big shit nigga |

pillarfox: Guy, you just said the truth. I no why children just dey think one-sided like our parents did. Tell me which rich man you see that is a doc? The doctors that are billionaires in this world are into research and other business. The richest dentist is into cosmetic surgery big time. Whatever you study, you can always make more than enough money as long as you can think outside the box. As long as you are not ready to follow the path everyone seems to follow. Ben Carson, with all the books he read in school and is still reading, he is just worth $12M. While Lionel Messi, Ronaldo, Neymer and Rooney make more than that annually for just kicking and following a round object on a green grass. As an anatomist, there's so much one can do in Nigeria. The studied the structure of the human body and so can set up a plan that will see at least 10m people from the 160m in Nigeria looking their way annually. That translate to lot of money any doc will ever make. For example, plantain boost spermatogenesis, if one can work with that and see what exactly in that plantain is causing the increase in testosterone level in the male individual, one can use it as muscle builder since 80% of males want to look like Tyrese Gibson or Iyanya. That's money coming in. Babalola, you really need to change that old ways of yours. At the end, Physiologists have won more Nobel Prize for medicine than doctors because Physiologists understand the body better than any doctor and that's why BBC call physiologists on health issues instead of doctors. Like the saying goes, a good medical doctor is a good Physiologist while a good surgeon is a good anatomist 2 Likes 1 Share |

[quote author=Drbabalola post=40514549]my brothers and sisters: before you take physiology and anatomy either from unimed or any school, pls visit googles and type 'how to get a job as a physiologist or anatomist?' there you will see a link on nairaland where graduates of these two disciplines are meeting, regretting their decision of studying both courses. It's hightime they upgraded both courses or better scrap them. If you take it; thinking that you will cross in part 2, what if you are unable to cross? Well you can take it and still obtain another jamb form if you don't want to ruin your own life. Degree in anatomy and physiology is/are synonymous to o'level according to a graduate of physiology. Mo so temi o your assessment is so poor. Because some graduates came here to type shit about Physiology and Anatomy, you registered such info in your head and you want to mislead others. When an individual is neither innovative nor creative, regardless the course he study in the university, he still won't make it big. No course is useless. It is what you make of it that matters. I believe your thinking is not just limited to your circumstances but also narrow. Those graduates that came here to type those shits are those kinda graduates who just went to school, cram, write n pass exam. That's why the can't see the usefulness of the degree they are holding. Stop these false info you guys give out. Creative minds will always be richer than you regardless the number of degrees you will have 1 Like |

Pillar fox, you can see some people saying with their score, they should give them BDS. As if BDS wasn't in the option when they were filling their UNIMED post UTME form. I know 15 people that applied for BDS. only 2 got 60+ as aggregate. both were 64 and 68. I guess most of the BDS applicants are within this range and the applicants wont be up to 100. So at least, 14 students got 60+ if you take 2 from 15 in 100. And they wanna admit at least 30-50, then cut off for BDS will be like 57, so as to accommodate the rest below that mark. So if you weren't for BDS, don't expect BDS. |
Education / Re: UNIMED Post Utme Result by peterg1759: 1:34pm On Nov 19, 2015 |
Hmmmm.......... I got one mark below MBBS cut-off, i should be sent to BDS. Una dey sick. Dem stop una from picking BDS from the beginning? now wey una no fit make MBBS, una want BDS cos BDS resemble dumping ground of MBBS applicants abi. if you can't make MBBS, expect Physiology or Anatomy or BCH. BDS is for those that want BDS as their primary option or better still, buy JAMB 2016 form. 2 Likes |

Mehn, this UNIMED sef. When I heard of Mimiko's plan last year I thought the school would be offering courses such as 1. Pharmacy or Pharmacology 2. Nursing 3. Radiology 4. Cell Biology 5. Physiotherapy 6. Medical Microbiology 7. Optometry 8. Vet Medicine 9. Medical Rehabilitation 10. Medical Laboratory Science 11. MBBS 12. BDS 13. Physiology 14. Anatomy 15. Biochemistry 16. Sport and Exercise 17. Health Science At least with 17 programs, there can stand out as a school that's going to be great. Now they just want rush things |
