One of the main reasons Barcelona has another goalscorer (Suárez) with 21 goals is because Messi is good at associative play. Meanwhile, Ronaldo is the reason why Bale, Benzema, and co. have struggled to score 15+ goals in the past few seasons. The team plays for Ronaldo.
