Thank you very much
guzenaira: You can’t take liquid on board but you can take some specific snacks sha.
But in your luggage, you can go with any foodstuff provided it is allowed In Canada. But not inside hand luggage anyway. |

One more question please, hope they don't bin food stuffs like Egypt Air?
guzenaira: Yes you can do your landing formalities there.
Turkish is good but layover is my issue with them, some of their food was strange to me but then it will sustain a bit.
There is possibility they put you to a connecting flight of Air Canada or West jet.
I flown it mid last year anyway. |

Congrats Kmgb1: AlhamduliLlah its PPR.
My Timelines are Dec 2017 1st ielts LRWS 7.5,8,7.5,7 Jan 2018 2nd ielts LRWS 8.5,9,7,7.5 March 2018 ECA Sept 05 2018 ITA Oct 08 2018 AOR Nov 7th Med passed Nov 21 Rprf (mine) Nov 22 FTD to Accra March 9 ADR(famous 5) 9th May PPR
Things to note : Schedule A- I filled my name as PA in both forms.i noticed people get confused about this whether to put spouse as PA in spouse's form or retain same
For ADR payslips/bank statement - I printed 6 months each even tho I have over 10years work experience, didn't see d need to overburden the VO with proof,I also had loans showing on my payslips.
GCMS notes showed my pension wasn't considered maybe cos it was just a buffer to d POF.
INITIAL POF - used Tbills certificate and an Investment in Leadway. Added about 3 expired Tbills certificate which I was rolling over during my 6 months wait for ITA to the LOE session.
PASSPORT PHOTOS : Scanned the photos i carry around in my wallet and uploaded for eApr
PCC : My PCC was 4 months old at eApr,i decided ro follow what was written on CiC site as per 6 months validity
MEDICALS was uneventful at childrens practice.
Thank you to everyone of u for making d wait bearable, was always looking forward to the banter here. To the people keeping the thread alive, answering questions daily,it shall never be in vain Wishing everyone waiting at one point or the other speedy processing. |

Yes, we attached reference letters for some and just employment letter for one. Although they we all Nigerian jobs.
For POF, i attached an LOE on the first page showing a table of summary of all the funds in the POF folder then uploaded another LOE explaining the sources of the POF in the additional document folder
Ikpenmhosa: @pharmbb we are all tapping into your timeline. Congratulations. In my ponderings, I wondered, did you attach reference letter for accompanying spouse? This is me trying to figure out how to get your kinda timeline. |

it now takes longer (about 10 weeks) due to volume, although during quarter 4 last year Canada Post was on (rotational) strike which added to the delay Brokenvessels: Just started PEBC Evaluation, did not know it takes so long, while on their website I read it takes 8 weeks from when they receive your application. |

If I had ten thousand tongues, it still wouldn't be enough, NAREKELE MO.
Great is Thy faithfulness, morning by morning new mercies I see, all I have needed Thy hand hath provided. Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto me
God has remained faithful and gracious despite our short comings and unfaithfulness. He shows up at each our very point of need.
I never used to fancy relocating abroad particularly Canada cos of the weather, but my husband has always been open to it, and whenever he brings up the topic i always brush it aside without giving it any consideration, because we were comfortable so why will I want to put myself through unnecessary stress?
Sometimes late 2016, the company my husband was working with decided to leave Nigeria due to the economic recession and that was how the rug was pulled from under our feet. We were still managing well as we had opened a retail Pharmacy outlet just before the incident, but things kept getting tougher.
Never heard of Canadian Express Entry until June 2018 when my husband's friend and colleague told us they've gotten Canada PR through the Express Entry and were relocating. They explained the whole process and we realized that we also stand a chance. So i was like if they can do it then we too can.
So our journey begins, i was so gingered that i became the main champion of the whole process, my husband was like POF is too much (about 7M for a family of 4) as we had eaten deep into our savings trying to expand our business but this time I was the reassuring him that we can do it. I am the primary applicant due to age as we are both Pharmacist, I researched like i was doing a PhD thesis. Now if he asks how I'll cope with the cold (cos my tolerability to cold weather even AC is very low), my response now is people there don't have two heads , if they can survive the cold, i too will.
At every step of the way, it has been God. We started the whole process with shishi in our account, saved for my ECA with PEBC from my meager salary (civil servant) and the little profit from the new business. We both read like "tomorrow no dey" for IELTS cos we know how we struggled for every kobo.
We demolished IELTS like bulldozer and started rallying family and friends and within 1 week we raised about 4.5m. (A real miracle!). Due to worries that the value of Naira might crash the way it happened in 2015/2016, we opened a joint dorm a/c for the POF. I also added my PFA statement (25% of my RSA) as buffer, just in case.
By December my husband's ECA was ready and so also was the POF (40% gift deed and the rest was Deed of sale for some properties). Now my ECA (from PEBC) was all that's standing between me and creating profile. Got my ECA on January 1st and the next day, we dived into the pool with CRS 452 as previously calculated !
A summary of our timeline:
Decision to immigrate - June 2018
IELTS L9,R8,W7,S7.5 - September 8th 2018 (1st and only attempt) Spouse L7.5,R9,W7.5,S8 - September 8th 2018 (1st and only attempt)
ECA Me (PEBC) - January 1st (Applied in July) Spouse (WES) - December 17th (applied in August)
Created EE Profile - Jan 2nd 2019
CRS Score - 452
NOC 3131
ITA - Jan 10th 2019
AOR - Feb 15th 2019
MEP/BIL - Apr 2nd 2019
Biometrics Completed & Updated - Apr 4th 2019
IP1 (if there's still anything like that) - 7th May
(Golden mail) PPR - 8 May 2019
FSW Outland
VO - Accra
No ADR
Family of 4
No of days from AOR to PPR - 82days
Stumbled upon this thread not too long ago while looking some info can't remember what exactly but kept coming back as Guest (wasn't a member of nairaland until recently) to read through cos i was sure of getting new information I never knew I needed.

It has indeed ended in Praise.

You don't need to pay separately for the ECA report, just download the form, fill and submit with your documents and application. The Cad$100 is for those who have completed their evaluation for exam purposes only previously who now needs the ECA report for immigration CTOBY: Silent reader here. Congratulations to all PPR and ITA clinchers.
