TravelRe: NEPA Had Helicopters That Were Used For Repair And Patrol.(picture) by PHAYOL81: 2:01pm On Jun 05, 2024
If you trace this back to the very beginning, it's likely that the helicopter(s) were acquired during regional system or even pre-independence. I won't put it past those likelihood.

EMIOMOADEOYE:
What Lagos is failing to realize is that in the regional system, Lagos and Western Nigeria will be symbiotic to each other. Western Nigeria needs the coastal access of Lagos. Lagos needs the land mass of Western Nigeria to extend coastal influence and control

All this gra gra over nonsense is nonsensical.

Your obas and leaders of old who wanted to stand alone fought for it under the context of a premise the current generation know nothing about. Their time and era has long gone. This is another era with completely different dynamics.

Britain, Spain, France, Portugal are all waiting in the wings for regionalism to happen. And by the time they capture all vested interests, Lagos will be so irrelevant. Lagos is just a tiny land mass with an absurd demography. Regionalism will burst that bubble.
FIRST of, LAGOS is progressing forward irrespective of system of government, you can take that to the bank. But having said that, that largely depends on the individual and collective efforts all YORUBA indigenes give to the realization AS IT ONCE WAS. And moreso, the right of LAGOSIANS (indigents in this case)doesn't cover places not founded and settled in by their forefathers. The western region owns and build the airport, the state capital and its environs, Apapa and its industrial layout, Lekki was an extension of EPE, IKORODU was pre-occupied and settled on by the people of OKE-OGUN and IJEBU, AWORI that settled from BADAGRY till IBA and OTTO are travellers from present day IFE and still recognize their root, so majority of the state infrastructure would fall back into the old western region landscape. The indigents to these mentioned places had strong root in the WESTERN REGION and they don't hide it, so if someone whose family house is merely located in IRU KINGDOM, ISALE EKO or IKOYI thinks he's talking for people whose ancestral settlement is at EBUTE-METTA, OGIJO, IMOTA, AGEGE, IKEJA, APAPA, BADAGRY, EPE, LEKKI, SURULERE etc., then he's a crazy bastard cum !diot.

OfoIgbo:
That is the spirit.

Just like Igbos are not worrying about having Calabar or Uyo in their geopolitical zone. Yorubas have enough in the remaining states and human resources, to still be bigger and greater than Lagos, but people like Tinubu must be kept out of leading Yorubas for Yorubas to achieve their full potential.

Even if Port-Harcourt and Ikwerres refuse to join Igbo and opt to team up with Ijaws and other minorities, the Igbo geo-political zone will grow and become much greater than the region that Port-Harcourt is a part of, once full restructuring takes place.
NOBODY will drag LAGOS with anyone. We're happy for her development and progress and PRAY such continue. But when the WESTERN REGION carved out the old parts of the province that were annexed to LAGOS to create the state, hope some people won't cry foul then. It seems someone doesn't know where his right ends. If they're truly indigents to the state, I'm sure they'll know better.
They can always have their LAGOS ISLAND, VICTORIA ISLAND and IKOYI but if they're thinking about taking everything, including what we lent to them, that's where each of those id!ots will know how worthless they are.

PoliticsRe: Doyin Okupe: Tinubu Has Set Structures In Place For The Development Of Lagos by PHAYOL81: 8:03am On Jun 02, 2024
PresidObi:
Yes, because the amount of Federal government investments sunk into Lagos since the time it was federal capital is still making money for it. That is why they fight everytime to keep the ports the only functional one in the country.

If you doubt me, why is Ogun state doing so badly in comparison, what about Ondo, Osun and Ekiti? Let them develop like Lagos and we will know he made a good move in Lagos.

Lagos is nothing without the investments we made there. Tankio
YOU GUYS ARE IRREDEEMABLE. Pray, what were the FG project sunk into Lagos that the state hadn't gotten its kind before being the FCT and before crude oil? Is it schools, Airport, Seaport, Bridges, Hospital, FDI, Banks, Rail line, Telecommunication, Big Markets, Resorts, Hotels, Firms, Factories, what? Name it? Kids everywhere, priding themselves in stark illiteracy.

Thanks for this. Only sore losers never see improvement in the systems AS THEY ARE FIXATED ON FOOD INFLATION ALONE. In time, that would also improve greatly and then, they would have to resort to their agitation cry out of another wail of marginalization ('cause they're OLIVER TWIST).

FG are just strategic partners. They have no financial input in the project. It's rather a state project.
