Just confirming GEJ cluelessness. Why didn't he remove the CCT chairman when advised. Its either the news is propaganda or GEL is sillier than we thought.
That man loved corrupt people than his wife and family. It seems corruption must be in your CV to get any appointment from him.

Stop acting moronic.

Instead of probing the allegations levelled against Umar, Buhari promoted him to an attack dog, using the very same corrupt Umar to fight the equally corrupt Saraki.

Mr Integrity ke
Did your school teach you what is called an institution and how they operate? Does the president run institutions in your small and cruel mind? The power vested on the president is to hire or fire heads of institutions and not to interfere in their daily activities. If you don't know that simple fact, go back to school if you ever attended any.

Ain't you ashamed that your hero was advised to remove him but left him there? How many corrupt people he was pressured and advised to sack but left them in office? It's obvious your hero and corrupt people were Siamese twins.

If this is what the PDP plans to do to return to office, then APC has nothing to worry about.

PDP shuld consider rebranding the Party and giving 'SOME' of its actual youths (Under-45) a chance to have a run at things.

https://i.imgur.com/gG0wGgX.gif
Unfortunately, going by what I read from most PDP youths on Twitter, Nairaland and other social media forums you think they are ready to do any different from the likes of Metuh? These same youths spend all their useful time insulting the president on a daily basis. There's one supposedly new rebranding youth group on Twitter called PDPPatriotsAlliance @PDP_PA, all they do daily is haul insults on the president yet they claim to be reforming the party. PDP is dead men, all you see now is a carcass of their old self.

PoliticsRe: Taraba Judgement: What Is Good For Taraba State Should Be Good For Benue State by philips70(m): 12:33pm On Nov 08, 2015
TonyeBarcanista:
My Darling, thanks a bunch. It is time to review some of the arrangement of APC. The case of Orthom is glaring. I'm optimistic that the court will do the needful.
Whilst it will be good for the tribunal to do the needful in Benue as you posited, the question here is did such matters come up at that tribunal at all? Did the petitioners bring up such issues? The tribunal did not just rule on an issue that is not before it. Initially when the ruling was passed, gists went to town as usual about how the judges ruled on matters not before them and many pocket lawyers lit up Twitter timelines and Nairaland on how can they do such. It was later on we start hearing about INEC, during the course of the proceedings, submitted documents and proofs that there were no primaries at all in PDP for the elections. Question here is how did such issues come up at the tribunal when they were not entered as part of APC's petition as posited by the PDP?

Furthermore, I want to appeal to youths who wants to participate in politics to support this ruling in totality up till the supreme court, be you in APC or PDP. If you come close to anyone who have been struggling to get party tickets after spending huge amounts of money unsuccessfully you will know where am coming from. I have been close to several people who have been victims of this politics of imposition of candidates right from the grassroot to the federal level. Most times, after spending huge sums of cash even after encouragement from the same godfathers, you will be told to step down for someone from nowhere after endorsement from the powers that be. The painful aspect is that nobody will refund you the millions of Nairas already wasted. PDP took imposition of candidates to a very high level up to the extent they deprived presidential aspirants from getting their forms after paying huge sums of money and at the end of the day no meaningful primary was conducted. That was the height of intra party rascality. If that was done to presidential aspirants you can imagine how shabby they must have treated state level aspirants
When this ruling is sustained parties will be properly guided subsequently and imposition of candidates will gradually be a thing of the past.
Barcanista, you could be a beneficiary of this ruling very soon so I urge you not to fight against it. Many people in the PDP who have suffered from what am saying now are secretly being happy over this court ruling. It will help strengthen our democracy.
Bear it in mind I have nothing personal to gain whether PDP or APC rule Taraba state but the decision of this tribunal indirectly affects all of us as a nation.

May God bless us all according to you.
PoliticsRe: Britain Toys With Woes Of Another Biafra War - Sun Newspaper by philips70(m):
They should keep writing these delusional articles as if the arrest of Biafran agitators just started after May 29th. GEJ handled Biafra issue with strong hands throughout his 5yrs in office and we did not see all these doomsday writers. Uwazuruike almost stayed all his days in jail and we did not hear from them.
If they are really serious they should begin by recalling all their representatives in the legislature since Nigeria has consistently refused to listen to their agitations.
PoliticsRe: Why Apc’s Alhassan Was Declared Taraba Governor — Tribunal by philips70(m): 12:20am On Nov 08, 2015
Gbawe:
Totally correct. And the reason they did this is because they assumed the elections would be business-as-usual and that GEJ would continue in power. They were therefore disinterested in abiding by laid down laws because they felt they could contravene it, even when they did not have to, and nothing would happen. They have now been voted out and it is natural, unlike before when PDP continued to perpetuate itself in power, that electoral malpractices, which the PDP is synonymous with, will no longer go unpunished. Buhari has told them that the era of impunity is over but they stubbornly fail to understand what he means. I really don't understand why PDP fans are shouting. Did those candidates you supported clannishly do wrong or not? That is the question to answer before accusing the APC or the judiciary of victimising any Party.
They will continue shouting till such a time when they will come to reality after doing proper soul searching. Right now they are still grandstanding with some hogwash rebranding even when they know the characters involved as I saw are still part of the same do or die and dubiously corrupt establishment.

I don't believed any candidate of a party could come this far without the party approval. the question now is: did he campaign? under which party did he campaign? was the party not aware of his struggle for governorship? or it's APC subtle means to turn Nigeria into one party system?
pls. those with better understanding should quote me for a clarification, thanks.
The INEC must be represented in every party's primaries for it to be recognized and authentic even if it is ratification of previously selected candidate. In this case, for INEC to testify that Ishiaku was not duly elected/selected in a primary means that provision was not adhered to. Truth is in this last elections PDP took imposition of candidates to another level up to the extent they refused selling forms to presidential candidates after collecting their monies. My happiness is the judgment will be a lesson to all political parties and sincerely pray it stands up till the supreme court.
PoliticsRe: Why Apc’s Alhassan Was Declared Taraba Governor — Tribunal by philips70(m):
Duru1:
There was no conduct of primaries by APC in Imo State yet the Muhammadu Buhari's tribunal upheld the election of Okorocha. In fact, the report reaching us had indicated that Okorocha's son in-law was named not nominated as APC candidate Imo State. Nigeria is a joke and it seems worse everyday.
Mr Duru, did the petitioners include that in their prayers? Did such issues come out at anytime during the case? Or you think the judges in the tribunals are some emotionally driven Biafran agitators?
PoliticsRe: Biafra: PDP Cautions Buhari, APC by philips70(m): 7:13pm On Nov 07, 2015
Now the PDP have revealed themselves as the real people behind this latest agitation. Is it not this same PDP in whose government scores of MASSOB members were killed and dumped in Ezu River? In the 5yrs of GEJ's government Ralph Uwazuruike was more in jail than in his home. Idiots!

Following the startling discovery of over 30 bodies found floating on Ezu River, the boundary between Anambra and Enugu states, the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has revealed that the victims were their members arrested by security agencies in different parts of the state last year but were never released nor charged to court.

According to MASSOB Director of Information, Mr Uchenna Madu, the corpses found floating on Ezu River in Amansea community were MASSOB members, who were arrested in the state and secretly executed by the security agents without proper trial to cover their tracks.

Madu said: “MASSOB with deep sense of grief and sorrow wishes to inform Mr. Ban Ki Moon (UN Secretary General), President Goodluck Jonathan, US president, Barrack Obama, United Nations Human Rights Commission (UNHRC) and Amnesty International about the gruesome murder of MASSOB members by the Special Anti Robbery Squared SARS, of Nigeria Police Force, Awkuzu Anambra State.”

He said some of the MASSOB members identified as Basil Ogbu, Michael Ogwa, Sunday Omogo, Philip Nwankpa, Eze Ndubisi, Ebuka Eze, Obinna Ofor, Joseph Udoh and Uchechukwu Ejiofor were arrested at the MASSOB security office Onitsha, Anambra State on November 9, 2012 by a combined team of Nigeria security agents (Army, Police and SSS) and were later handed over to SARS headquarters, Awkuzu Anambra State where they were detained until their suspicious disappearance.

I don't think the governor needs to be ruffled at all. Its on record INEC accepted the PDP's candidate, only the appeal court could decide this case.
That's no case. INEC also accepted the candidature of Omehia during AmaechiVsOmehia. In any case they are also always part of defendants in all electoral cases.

If I were you I won't be celebrating what we all know is a prepared script from the headquarters of APC. There would be an appeal, you don't overturn a 39,000 deficit basing judgements on technicalities.
The appeal could go either ways depending on the superior arguments of counsels. Do not forget mama Taraba is a legal mind who has been an attorney general for that state also. She will not allow some hungry lawyers to misrepresent her like they are doing to Saraki.
PoliticsRe: Thread Is Now Closed. by philips70(m): 4:34pm On Nov 07, 2015

This would be going straight to the appeal court. Can't see how an election tribunal would overturn a popular mandate basing its judgement on intra party irregularity.
Do you know the reason why INEC is represented at every party's primaries? It answers your curiosity.

Saraki needs to bow out honorably, this case can't be swept under the carpet, this an administration were all the hidden facts are laid before the citizens who are really interested in seeing how things go unlike before when everything was hidden from the public.

This wailers are really confused set of humans, when saraki was made the senate president they all came to nairaland to create funny threads on how saraki will revive their almost dead party, Saraki's got invited by CCT and they screamed witch hunt, while their "gods" in the senate had been the abobakus following saraki to the court. After Saraki betrayed them by confirming Amaechi, they now see him as corrupt Apc member... Bunch of clueless humans
