You can apply for both EA and surge. Most surge are being approved while the EA response will become denial. If you applied for surge look out for their mail. Have applied for EA since last month and no response but after applying for surge I got a date for Dec 1st and a denial for EA.

The person I’m helping out initially applied for EA before sending email for the surge dates in Lagos. The surge date was approved yesterday and she’s scheduled to appear 1st of December. But today she got an email saying her Emergency appointment has been denied though she uploaded all required documentations.
Personally, I am guessing there might be a conflict between EA application and sending email for surge date. Or maybe it’s a systems glitch from the embassy.


My question: have u applied to both surge date and EA.

Good day everyone, I sent a mail to the Lagos surge for interview but I did not get an auto response or even a reply. Please can anyone tell me what went wrong. Thanks

I got an admission to WIU, My i-20 was just issued and classes would be starting Jan 18 2022. I am trying to schedule an appointment date and the closest I can find for Lagos is Sept 2022. I do not mind going to Abuja but the closest in Abuja is May 2022. Please can someone Advise on how to schedule an emergency date. Your response would be appreciated.

You have to pay for you servis fee and also visa, book the nearest visa appointement you can find on the available visa date. Then on your left hand section of your page, you will find request emergency appointment, upload the required documents along with a letter explaining why you need an emergency date. Wait for response afterwards.

I got denied in Abuja yesterday. Here is my transcript.

Vo: i can see you have partial scholarship, how do you intend to cover the rest

Me: i didn't hear so i said sorry...

Me: he owns chains of store and also into import and export

Me: I work for lagos state government.
Vo: handed the the blue paper.

Please guys kindly tell me what i did wrong and how to prepare for my next interview. Also can i get an emergency application because my program starts January.
