OK . But apparently ASUU's meeting with FG next week would be to finalize terms and call off the strike , judging from reports(unconfirmed) . Does it mean FG has started some sort of implementation?

Well ASUU does whatever they feel like . Remember some zones while in favor were still adamant on seeing actual implementation. Plus it's more than just money matter , the issue of visitation and all that. And oh additional 5 billion for them .

I read from someone on here that ASUU won't call off till after implementation of which they've given the FG a timeframe . So if they call it off next week Friday , does it mean FG has started implementation already?

ASUU only agreed to call-off the strike after FG complies/implements their demands within the time frame they gave FG.

This kind of lazy journalism is very disappointing

News making the rounds right now is that ASUU has agreed to call off the strike.

You said earlier on that they wouldn't call it off until FG starts the implementation of some of the offers made . What changed this night?

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has shifted ground on FG's offer.

The Union insisted that payment of outstanding salaries must not be done through IPPIS platform as promised, if strike would be suspended.

ASUU has already agreed to accept FG offer only if they will be exempted from IPSIS. Meeting is still ongoing.

And i don't know why everyone is thinking that immediately ASUU suspends the strike then Zoom, it's off to school.
Resumption will be at the discretion of individual schools. Some schools might want to resume next week, some the week after that and perhaps some will resume next year.

That I can not tell. More votes came in from other chapters today, the NAYs have got up a notch but those in favour of suspension still leading.

Concessions are being made on the basis of the state of the economy and the longevity of the strike. Public sympathy is very crucial and members understand this.

The government shifted grounds and so has ASUU. It's a tradeoff for the good of the students themselves and the country generally.

And from a very reliable source this morning, majority of ASUU Chapters may likely reject the offers made by FG which will automatically keep the strike running and result in more negotiations.

by the way our law faculty is more massive than what I'm seeing here

our faculty of bio science would have stood out as well but the building has been Uncomplete for almost 15 years (the money has been eaten)
