Mobile policemen, Weekend, stormed Ebute kekere street, Akesan near Obadore in Igando area of Lagos, sending shivers down the spines of the residents, as the police burst a gang of kidnappers whose hide-out was in the neighbourhood.

When the gate of the said building was forced open, the policemen were reportedly greeted by sporadic shots from a middle-aged man. However, the Police succeeded in disarming him after shooting him on the leg.

It was gathered that, seven other suspected kidnappers and occupants of the building jumped over the high fence and escaped. The police rescued three men reportedly abducted from different areas of Lagos, where they were locked up in one of the rooms, blindfolded with their hands tied.

But to the amazement of all, when a search was conducted, a catchment of weapons comprising three rocket launchers and three rockets, eight AK 47 magazines fully loaded with a total of 3,240 rounds of ammunition, four dynamites and assorted charms were found.

A NIGERIAN couple, Alhaji Rashid Bello and Fauzia Bello, were yesterday arrested by the Central Regional Police Command in their residence at Amosima near Moree, in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese (AAK) District of the Central Region, with human parts including two heads.

Though they claimed to be Nigerians, Rashid, 42 and Fauzia, 37, had Ghanaian passports and voter ID cards bearing their names.

Briefing journalists in Cape Coast, the Central Regional Police Commander, Stephen Andoh-Kwofie, disclosed that his outfit stormed the couple’s residence upon a tip-off.

The police learnt that suspected criminals and armed robbers were always trooping into the couple’s residence. DCOP Andoh-Kwofie noted that when his men got to the couple’s residence, they saw two children aged six and seven and were not sure if they were their children or victims.

He added that his men searched the house and realized when they got to the washroom that there was a strong stench emanating from the toilet.

DCOP Andoh Kwofie added that the wife of Alhaji Bello, upon sensing danger, tried to divert the attention of the police by flushing the toilet but she was stopped, and upon inspection, the police found human parts in a bucket covered with a piece of cloth.Alhaji Bello is said to be a renowned herbalist in the area who provides services for numerous people including armed robbers.

When the police arrived at the house with an arrest warrant, Alhaji Bello offered them bribe which they refused.

When the two were arrested and questioned, they confessed to possessing the gory materials and explained that they had lived in Amosima for nine years.

The police commander stated that the victims had not been identified, but the mutilated body parts would be sent to the Central Regional Police Command to determine their sex.

Daily Guide learnt as at press time yesterday that further investigations by the police led to the discovery of another human head.

Pregnant women have been found among inmates at the Kiri-Kiri Women’s Prison in Lagos. Though not much of surprise due to the fact that the condition and state of Nigerian prison have been abysmal of the years, what is shocking is the number of pregnant women and kids discovered in the prison. A recent inspection of the Kiri-Kiri prison revealed that prison was harbouring 10 pregnant inmates, 10 babies and 20kids.

It still remain a bit of a mystery how  the babies got in there, but the general theory is that most of the babies were conceived after the suspect mothers got into detention or started serving terms.

Some police officers questioned admitted that it is quite possible that some enforcement officers play a role in putting female detainees in family way.

Speaking the media, a police officer that pleaded anonymity, said:

“I do not find it an offence if you see a woman and get attracted to her. If you tell me that a policeman is dating a suspect that is a different ball game all together. Anyone that tries that would definitely be dismissed. Besides the IPO would always be there whenever they want to bring them out.”

“I am a Christian so I cannot lie. It happens and it is common. These girls willingly give themselves to the police so as to get a shortcut out of their problem.”

“A lot of female criminals and suspects have been let loose because they decided to use what they have to regain freedom. Those who landed in prison must have committed an offence that is obvious and cannot be covered. The IPO will sleep with her with a promise and still fail. It is no longer news.”



Mrs. Ozioma Onyenweaku, an associate of an NGO called CRAPI that advocates the right for children is pressing for the release of the kids from the prison.

“I had the pleasure to interview pregnant women and nursing mothers. They alleged they slept with policemen to get freedom but the policeman failed them. They were promised freedom if they agreed to sleep with them. This definitely explains why most of these girls discover that they are pregnant as they arrive at prison from police detention.”

Within a period of 6 months, I bought 3 cars. The 1st one was a 1998/1999 C230 (registered) which gave me serious problems(always jerking)and I tried my best to fix it but all to no avail, my friends advised me to get a second car which was a toyota solara(2001) this time around I thought it was a TOKS and I continued spending money on the car (it was a 9ja used car which had its plate number removed for better sales by the dealer) and the last one was a V6 2003 EOD,  Christ,  I bought this car for 2 million and ended up selling it for 900k(just imagine) after 1 month,  I am tired of this scams,  Most car dealers are fu*ck*ed up,  I still need a car but I am scared because of the issues I have had in the past,  I know this is hard to believe but its the plain truth,
