I'm not disputing that the s7 is a great device, but wether it is better than the 6s is subjective and down to personal preference. If u like the fluidity, speed and simplicity of iOS then u have no other choice then iPhone. If u like the functionality and freedom of android then u not only have to pick the s7, there are lots of top notch android phones out there. Don't forget iPhones have better security.

As for the Google photos, iCloud does the same thing. And if u don't like iCloud ( I see no reason why u shouldn't), u can always download Google photos forum the app store. Google apps are great but all Google apps are also available on the app store.

As for the keyboard, maybe u don't know Swiftkey already exist for iOS devics and swiping works flawlessly.

Honestly no point arguing anymore cos Mr A's choice may not suit Mr B.
If you prefer iPhone enjoy it and if you prefer Sammy enjoy it also.

As for the cell standby... I can't imagine having my phone on 2g... I'm always on 3g when I'm not using WiFi, and when on WiFi the 3g is supposed to be inactive (that is how it works on the iPhone) until WiFi is no longer available... That is smart. Lord have mercy when using ntel and turn on LTE.. Then the battery starts draining like a stopwatch especially when the network is not stable.

I believe the reason we buy expensive phones is to have rest of mind... Something that works out of the box.

Bro don't misinterpret the word "high-end" for perfection.
I can buy an iPhone 6s plus for over 200k it's only a high-end phone not a perfect phone if I can't use Bluetooth to receive files from other OS, it is only high-end not perfect if I can't make use of memory cards and download apps without going through app store.

Like I've said rooting a high-end phone doesn't mean it doesn't give you the expected satisfaction it only means the phone can even do further but these phone companies will intentional limit it. Same goes with your iPhone.

In summary there is no perfect phone out of the box. Since Samsung released new features on Note 7 which was missing in s7 edge I simply ported those features to the S7 and can only be possible through root.

My point exactly. If you want to tweak get an MTK China phone. That's what they are meant for. Tweaking with A premium phone like S7 is foolishness. No pun intended.

It would have been better asking what tweaks are made and what benefits could it add to a premium phone like S7 edge.

Like I said earlier if you use your phones for normal activities like music, games, calls, sms and photos then no point getting Samsung just stick with iPhone and you are fine but you wouldn't won't to get stuck with one laptop, you can't receive files through Bluetooth, apps are always through the app store and if you mistakenly sync with another laptop your apps are gone.
Even as sophisticated as you think the iPhone 6s plus is I believe you can still see the reason to jailbreak.

Galaxy s6 and the screen is the culprit of the battery hog, followed by cell standby. My screen is always on around 40% which is not too much.

Screen usage could be 40% or more or lesser it only tells you how long of have been active on the phone that means screen on time.

Click on the screen menu under the battery stat and you will see how long you've had your screen on as for the cell standby the drainage depends on how far you are from a signal mast that's the reception it is always advisable to put your phone in 3g only or 2g only else you will end up having more battery drain from cell standby.
Mine is on 2g only since I'm mostly on wifi and it uses lesser battery all night long.

Lastly what could be draining your battery is wakelocks which is not visible understand battery usage. Your screen could be off but the phone is awake and draining battery..... If you are rooted you could get it sorted out and enjoy a better battery life.

How were u able to arrive at such conclusion? Because you saw 8% power left? Do you know how many hours of usage he got before that? Well you cannot judge based on what you are seeing there. Obviously that is an iPhone but i cannot say which it is.

I was referring to his android battery screenshot which he couldn't read but I can tell you his battery is horrible from what I can see that's why I wanted to know the phone he is using.

Sadly to say this their are even some tecno and gioner phones that smokes the samsung s7 battery life..

On paper the s7 battery is higher than the 6s, honestly if an iphone 6s and s7 is used side by side for the same thing for a 8hrs straight, the iphone would go off first, but on a normal day to day use of smartphones, this is where the iphone wins the s7 in batterylife, because the battery won't just discharge if you don't tell it to discharge, the samsung battery would keep on discharging on its own, not that it discharges heavily though but it keeps going down... So if an iphone 6s is charged fully for a day and an s7 is charged fully for a day and given to two users of almost the same intense, before the day gets to an end the s7 would be needing a charge while the iphone 6s would still have up to 30% left... This is what iphone greatly optimizing standby means...

Well I've created on this forum how to get the best out of your Android phone battery so don't think it is all about Sammy.
I've used from iPhone 3 down to 6s plus likewise from galaxy s2 down to S7 Edge. Talking about experience? I will only debate with tumababa who I've once met and I know his wealth of experience about iphones colly227 is my former ID and I have been on this forum since 2005 so I know the right people with experience here ........ You can imagine someone who claims he knows about iPhone asking if it uses VPN .

I'm sorry but I won't debate about phones with you until you use S7 edge only then can I sit you down and lecture you for free.

Actually I do not trust these battery statistics because it only counts when u have a full charge. That means when u top up ur phone let's say from 40-80% it won't reset the counter unless u charge to 100%. For example, I just unplugged my phone about 10 mins ago after charging from 30-83% and it is telling me I have used almost 2 hours on battery Wtf.

However, I get up to 7 hours usage time on my iPhone with over 25hrs standby time with WiFi connected. That is something a Samsung Phone would struggle to attain.

Which phone are you using? You have a horrible battery life from what I can see and you seems not to have a clue what is draining your battery.
I use wifi 24hours of the day and I go all day so figure out what is causing you the battery hog I can help you if you wish.

I don't I now your experience about phones but let me explain what you likely don't know.

Most Samsung phones comes out of the box with moderate battery life you tend to get a far better battery life after a few cycle of charges. A cycle means draining your battery and giving a full charge.

Now this is the confusing part a site like phonearena and others will run their test as soon as the phone comes out they don't have the patience to go through a few cycle of charges because they want to be the first to break the news. Go on that site and you will see they have already given test on Note 7 lol.

Now when a user buys this phone and go through a cycle of charges they end up getting a far better battery life then leave a contrary review based on their day to day experience.

On the other hand Iphones comes out with best batter life out of the box. These are phones with different OS and architectural designs.

I don't know if this makes any sense to you and if you wish I can post my standby time of my phone by taking a screenshot you will be surprised I go the whole day on heavy user and still have about 40% left by 9pm.
My screen on time will tell you how long I made use of the phone.

There's no need to argue this. Yes the link is from brg.com but they stated that the test was carried out by phone arena. Oya post me ur own proofs that galaxy s7 edge has a better battery than iPhone 6s plus. I've used different Samsung phones, they suck at standby time. Out of the box iPhone 6s has better battery, don't even near the 6s plus.

I will always tell people if you want to buy a phone don't follow those pictures rather read review from users experience you will see comments online afterwards you decide.

Bros tweaking is just to customize to your personal taste, take out what you don't need in fact wipe the OS empty and put in just what is useful to you.

As for the virtual reality it simply exclusive to Samsung Galaxy high end phones. Just like your 3D TV experience but this is quit different as you can view an object 360° and you can interact with it. You get the Samsung Gear VR then slot your phone into it next wear it like a glass and you are in another world.
Right in your room you could decide to go skydiving, go watch a match at a stadium, go for a concert or a show........ The difference is that you aren't just watching on a screen you are right there that's how realistic it is.

IPhone 6s plus has 2,750mah battery and it is one of the phones with the best battery life. One thing iphones have I'd good standby time which Samsung phones suffer from. U can go to sleep at 10pm with 100% battery and wake up 6am with 100%. If that was a Samsung u would wake up with like 94% or less. And yes iPhone 6s plus has better battery than most androids with 4,000mah battery.

yes you can, because Apple has a very neat and great way of handling battery in standby mode, i was watching a YouTube comparrison between the samsung s7, iphone 6s , 6 and 5s , their battery were all on 100%, when he finished the comparrison, the iphone 6s was still on 100, the 6 was also still on 100, the 5s was on 98, the samsung s7 was on 94%..

Thats just how it is, although battery mah do matter but i use the 6s , and bro honestly i am a very heavy user and when i use my phone very very heavily, it gets me from 7am to around 3pm in the afternoon, it will be on 25% and i will require a boost to the battery again which takes me till midnight.. Thats when i am using it heavily..

But on light use, thats when i go to work and just slightly bring out my phone every once in a while to browse at intervals, around 6pm in the evening when i close my office, i still have up to 86% battery life left, because the standby implementation of ios is simply superb..

Well I wonder 6s you are using cos I used one before switching to S7 edge and I can tell you 6s doesn't have a better standby time.
I don't know if you've used the S7 edge the OP talked about or you are Comparing with the S7 which has a lesser Mah.

I think I can't emphasize more than what has been said there about the iPhone 6s I've used it but sold it 3 days later why? You just have a solid phone you can't tweak to your taste.

Mind you I was coming from Note 5 after selling the iPhone 6s I got Galaxy S7 edge....let me summarize it in one sentence "End of discussion"
From freedom of tweaking to custom roms down to dust and water resistance I actually went swimming with it the second day . Then if you ever dive into the world of virtual reality which is an amazing feature you could actually take a tour to your favorite destination, go skydiving or mountain climbing..... This isn't like a movie you watch on the TV it actually feels like you are right there you can interact with object..... Adrenaline rush when someone points a gun at you.

As for battery I took out some bloatwares.... I'm a heavy user if I leave the house by 7am with 100% battery I come back around 6pm with about 60% battery so you can comfortably go the whole day with a full charge.

Camera? It has an edge over iPhone 6s that's understandable cos it was released this year.

You can actually slot in 256GB memory card if you so wish.
Dual Sim option if you so wish.

Lastly head to Galaxy s7 edge palace on XDA forums you could yet discover the feats the monster phone could achieve.

My last words.
If you are not interested in tweaks, customization and freedom that comes with Android please get IPhone 6s you won't regret it besides the restrictions. on the contrary bros galaxy S7 edge is a joy to behold.

I think she is one of those that gets unstable sometimes and other times normal..... It just played out her other side showed on her wedding day.
