Governor of Nyeri, Wahome Gakuru died in a ghastly motor accident in in Kabati on the Thika-Kenol highway.
The governor and his driver were rushed to Thika Level 5 Hospital and were set to be flown to Nairobi Hospital for further treatment.
Gakuru becomes the second Nyeri Governor to pass on while in office after the late Nderitu Gachagua who died last year in February at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London while undergoing treatment for pancreatic cancer.
Governor Gakuru, who is the former vision 2030 director, was travelling to Nairobi for a talk show on Inooro TV.

I once had a girlfriend who had the same mentality. At some point she came to me and said don't I think God will bless me financially after I marry her? I got chills that very day that I began to reminisce all her negative approach whenever good thing was coming my way.

Some guys can be very good and nice if they see they will benefit a lot from you. The lady might have been deceived into commitment. You would not know the heaven on earth that guy promised him during courtship. Might even be serving her breakfast in bed. After marriage, they assume they now own the woman and all her hustle and start forming galadima. As incredibly selfish and cold hearted as this woman sounds I can understand where she's coming from. My reasons are as follows.

1. You men bring this kind of behavior onto yourselves with your society and culture you have created that seems to always favor the man.

The house belongs to the man alone.
When you are angry with your wives you tell her to leave YOUR house just as the op told his wife. He expects her to beg him to let her stay but when she doesn't beg he's shocked. She didn't beg because she has provided a refuge for herself.

2. Since your culture doesn't believe in community property (All properties belonging to both husband and wife ) a smart wife would make sure that she has the security of shelter and some funds put away for herself and her children incase shyt happens, otherwise she would be left homeless and destitute.

3. I can't count how many times I have read on here about husbands throwing their wives out of HIS house with nowhere to go simply because he wants to move his girlfriend and his outside children into HIS house.

4. I give kudos to the wives who are wise enough to make her own money and provide for herself and not completely depend on her husband for everything.

5. The down side to this story is the secrecy and not doing her part in providing for the family especially when the husband was having financial difficulties.

With your thinking I see marriage as scam. If she wanted to do things by herself why get married? She could have gotten pregnant without marrying which will give her all the space to do things alone and enjoy her money.

Herein lies the problem with Nigeria and that is tribalism, and this is bad.

I have repeatedly said it that the problem of Nigeria is not corruption,religion, bad governance or such. The number one problem is tribal and ethnic affiliation.

Everything in Nigeria is looked at from a tribal view. Nigeria has had plenty of Presidents,some corrupt and some not too corrupt.

But when Goodluck Jonathan came into the picture, even the Webster dictionary was forced to re-define the term " Corruption"

That the Government of President Buhari did not file corruption cases against Jonathan, his wife, PDP as a political party, thousands of Jonathan's hangers on and enablers is perplexing to me.

That a toothless bulldog like the IYC is suddenly talking and supporting Goodluck Jonathan , when even the corrupt Jonathan did not develop any part of Bayelsa as the Deputy Governor,Governnor,Vice-president and President is enough to show that the leadership of the IYC is a disgrace, and they should be overhauled.

I have started my gradual withdrawal of support for President Buhari,And the APC as a political party, for the simple reason that the fight against corruption that made me support them, is now a joke.

Goodluck Jonathan And his wife,just like the corrupt people inside APC now should be arrested and tried for crimes against Nigeria.

Fela abused drugs yes, he went for anything under skirt (Tuface is same) but something stands out....... One is a coward that fizzles under little pressure while the other spoke the truth, called a spade for what it is, never fizzled despite the enormous pressure, his songs aren't just songs but prophesies.

Tuface is my best Nigerian artiste of his generation but like I said I can't count on any man who fizzles under little pressure or a man who can't stand by the truth.
