ritababe:Hmmmm. I think what you mean is "tecno phones are good enough for its price to want something more and pay a whole lot extra cash" |
excanny:Screen resolution and processor not looking similar to me. Plus there is a whole lot of specs that a phone can have that you skipped. |
ritababe:I thought I already started the diff btw overpriced and premium priced. Read the article again. Plus based on pure specs, the phantom6 is no match for the iPhone |
ritababe:Apple |
Oyebola85:Why do you want to sell the phone? |
1. Its good looking 2. It does not hang, lag or delay for a sec. #lumia |
Abdstrakt:I never said "everyone" or "anyone". Its purely to those it concerns |
excanny:Prove it! |
benzics:We both know s7 has way higher specs than 6+ so please do not compare the two. Yet even if the price of s7 is overpriced(which I don't think it is) the lowest price the phone can every go for would still be at least 50k ahead of 6+ so be careful when you make comparism. |
excanny:Read my second point again |
with the release of phantom 6, tecno phone just keep being more and more expensive. well..... Brand, Class and Reputation is Important When setting up a company, you are meant to really draw out what your company stands for and what kinds of products you'd like to offer, you cannot build your brand based on one class or level then switch completely, this is because what ever standard you preset yourself is how you'll be continued to be seen as. it's a natural human thing. if you meet someone today who can't speak good english and grew up in the slums, if the same person learns and becomes better tomorrow, you won't still feel that that person is on the same level with you because of his reputation, you would still look at him as that boy that grew up in the slums. this is common with every human. how does this relate with tecno? well, when tecno was starting off, they offered really low end cheap inferior devices, so now they make high end devices, we all still look at tecno as "low end, cheap and inferior" There is a Difference Between Premium and Expensive and overpriced The definition of premium is something or someone of greater or superior quality The definition of expensive is costly or having a very high price overprice is charge too high a price for. well the truth is all good phones are expensive this days. but some phones are premium priced while some are overpriced. alot goes into selling a product than what the product can offer itself, lets say its the same reason why you will go to look for a job with your 1st class OND and might lose it to a 2nd class B.sc holder from a school like university of lagos, and this is aside the fact that you may be better. so really so many factor affect how you are seen aside what you can do, same here for these companies. think about reputation(like you were asked if you were a prefect in high school), brand name(like you were asked who your father is), works(like you were asked what are your accomplishments), the you'll realise that based on these stuff mentioned above and many more, companies can never never be equal. some would still be rated higher than others and would earn more customers trust than others. in this case if a company that has my trust offers me a device, for another company to earn my trust, the company should not try to make a better device, instead the company should build a better brand. Are They Ready To Take On The Game? Really are they? if you say you're better, you'll have to prove it. back to the boy that grew up in the slums, if you did not see him for many years then you see him in a car wearing suit, it would actually take more than that, some more and more discussions to prove he has really developed. likewise the job seeker, if she comes back with a b.sc, she will have to go trough more interview and traning than the first b.sc holder just to prove seh earns it. and most times this is done by comparing their new standards with formerly set ones by people/companies who had these names and reputation first. and comparing tecno with existing companies, its really hard to say if they pass. because before any company can sell anything at premium price, the product itself has to worth it How does tecno build better brand and reputation? one of the best ways by having good names and reputations is by having no bad ones at all, like erasing your past or starting a new life giving yourself a new name, or like the bible would say, be born again. with humans this might be easy but with companies it's not. a few companies has done this, i.e having to start all over again and giving themselves a new name. but what most companies do is have a second life, like giving yourself a twin brother or giving birth, or creating a new career mode in that video game . for example, BMW and Rolls Royce, Volkswagen and Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Porsche then OPPO and ONEPLUS, the last which is a phone company. if you notice, the owners are not premium brand per say, but the companies under it are! so even if they are made by the same people, the are sold a premium price under this smaller children companies. THIS IS WHAT I THINK TECNO SHOULD DO assuming their phantom line was an entire new phone brand/product on its own since phantom 5 tho, people would not find it hard buying one. even if they know it's related to tecno. Then why do humans act in this manner? i don't know....it is a natural something.... ![]() Written by ME. thanks. Reserved for my own opinion *modified the truth is, after reading a lot of people's idea from all over the web, i am a little bit disappointed. i am not the "average Nigerian phone user" that bashes apple iphones on everything claiming "high price for rubbish" i've always appreciated every apple move and count it as an innovative strategy that just works. but this is sadly not. innovation is not removing something to add other things, innovation is adding other things without removing anything. so apple was not being innovative here. including the fact that wireless earphones or headphones does not produce as much quality as wired ones with a 3.5mm jack. that's sad. if i was asked by apple to choose between quality of audio and "bigger camera sensor, battery, bla bla bla" i would choose audio quality. so as a music person, i'm not going near the iphone 7. then air pods itself is a complete joke. if i happen to consider it, ill probably be buying a brand new one twice a day, cos it would so get missing like a pregnant lady period. even when using lighting cord, to think that i cant listen to music while using a power bank on the go? is a nightmare! that's my opinion ![]() |
https://i-cdn.phonearena.com/images/articles/256565-thumb/apple-h11.jpg There are quite a few changes and improvements in the iPhone 7, but the most radical and polarizing one is without a doubt the lack of a 3.5mm headset jack, the standard that we've been using with out headphones and stereo systems in the last few decades. A change of massive proportions, the removal of the 3.5mm headset jack is something that will affect everyone: from those audiophiles who have spend hundreds of dollars on expensive headphones and obsessing over music quality to your regular users trying to hook up an iPhone to their home stereo or their old car audio player via an AUX port (not possible anymore without an adapter). Apple itself admits this willingly, saying that it took courage to remove such a widely used port. So why did it do it? "IT'S CRAZY TO KEEP IT AROUND" Interestingly, it all started with a new and better camera. It was also a much larger camera than before. The reason for that is the addition of optical image stabilization, and with the growing size of the camera, the hardware engineering team at Apple had to look for a place to move one other key component, the 'driver ledge', a tiny circuit board that controls the iPhone's display and backlight. Traditionally positioned at the top of the phone, out of the battery's way, it now had to find a new place. The best place that the team found for it was at the bottom, but there was conflict: the 3.5mm headset jack interfered with the space required to put the driver ledge there. Then, the unthinkable happened: the team decided to try and see what would happen if it removed the audio jack. A number of benefits showed up: the taptic engine was now easier to install. But then, engineers realized it was possible to also increase the size of the battery, a feature that practically every iPhone users has requested at a certain period in time. In fact, the iPhone 7 battery is now 14% bigger than the one on the 6s, while for the 7 Plus that growth amounts to 5%. https://i-cdn.phonearena.com/images/articles/256566-thumb/water-c1.jpg Thirdly, removing the audio jack removed one of the biggest obstacles towards making the iPhone waterproof: it was a point of ingress and removing it made it possible to water-proof the phone. "It was holding us back from a number of things we wanted to put into the iPhone," Apple senior VP of hardware engineering Dan Riccio says."It was fighting for space with camera technologies and processors and battery life. And frankly, when there’s a better, modern solution available, it’s crazy to keep it around." So there you have it: three big reasons for removing the 3.5mm headset jack, the possibility of a much larger and better, optically stabilized camera, the larger battery and the water-proofing of the phone. Interestingly, though, Apple never mentioned anything about sound quality during its presentation. Sure, you can use wired headphones via the Lightning port that can do some cool tricks like user-adjustable noise cancellation. And yes, the company also wants you to buy its new $160 AirPods completely wireless headphones, but if you were thinking that the main reason behind the removal of the 3.5mm headset jack is vastly improved audio quality... well, at least Apple is not mentioning this at all as a reason. And with our homes, cars and all sorts of gadgets equipped with that good old 3.5mm jack, it would be a very tough transition. Nonetheless, if we dared look in the future and imagine the perfect set of headphones there - a task that Apple put forth to its engineers - we likely also would have imagined something cool and wireless. Until that future arrives, though, Apple is putting a Lightning to 3.5mm adapter in every iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus box. Even Apple is not that courageous to leave its users without that option at the moment. https://i-cdn.phonearena.com/images/articles/256567-thumb/another-shitty-adapter-r1.jpg You can't charge the iPhone 7 and listen to music, will you be going wireless? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdtHX15sXiU The only major downside with moving to EarPods with a Lightning connector in the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus seems to be that you can't really charge the handsets, and plug the headphones at the same time to listen to some tunes. Everything else in terms of compatibility is kinda taken care of when Apple included a Lightning-to-3.5mm-port adapter in the new iPhones' box, or else the European Commission would have given them the stinky eye even more. Plus, the new AirPods that will ship next month are cheaper and offer longer battery life than most truly wireless earbud solutions out there, not to mention that you can charge them five times over from the carrying case alone. We like it when Apple feels queasy. That is why i wanted to ask you whether, if you are used to charging and listening to music at the same time, you are considering going wireless with your audio gear, be it headphones, earbuds, or speakers. There is an ever-growing collection of Bluetooth headsets and speakers out there, and it is only bound to increase after Apple's iPhone 7 announcement, so lets talk on your plans and opinion on the matter in the comments. bolakale30:NO SIR! first! its 2nd gen secondly! its would still out perform a 6th gen i3, first or 6th gen does not mean it gained in performance, the difference is in other parts like heat and power consumption then, the video card is not inferior, except to a select few that thinks so which in this case includes you. you can check the reviews, it peerforms excellently. and the price at 120k is very reasonable, you won't get a better performing system at this price i can bet. |
