Somebody complained about voice typing on the sales earlier and I posted a wrong reply. I'm sorry o, no vex. I recently encountered the problem and this was what I did.
1. Go to settings, then advanced settings, then language & input, then select your keyboard. Go to its general settings, then accessibility. Disable voice feedback.
2. In language & settings, select Google Voice typing, then speech output. Change to hands-free only. Go to voice input, then enhanced google services and do the same.
3. From settings, click on apps, and view all your apps. Search for Google text to speech and disable it.

One or all would work depending on what caused it but I suggest you carry out the 3 steps and get rid of that annoying woman's voice.

If you have this problem and are still confused, feel free to ask me.

True it is a lovely device but there are better phones at that price like Gionee so why should I settle for less?

As for the battery, I'll say its average compared to some gionee products but has a battery saver tech which is decent enuf for regular use while the UI is stock android which is rather boring for those who don't like stock android. Aside this, it's a lovely device and I'll say am enjoying it.

Also endeavour to check out other gionee phones like the splus and m5, good quality stuff.

But why does it have metal cover? This would contribute to overheating which shouldn't be a problem in 2016. The Gionee p5w has a plastic cover. Also, does it offer good battery optimisation?

So has anybody found out the price for the usb type c? Though i feel you must be very careless to spoil it because it doesn't spoil easily.

All in all, gionee makes good phones. i will always say this. Make sure you check out other gionee phones like the splus and m5. Very good stuff.

I don't see why this is a big deal. There are several launchers available. Just find the one that fits your taste.

ONE REASON I EVEN PREFER THE GIONEE OVER THE INFINIX IS BECAUSE THE BATTERY IS REMOVABLE. UNLIKE THAT OF THE INFINIX.

It is purely a marketing strategy. Manufactureres want your phone to spoil fast so you'll get a new one. That is what you get in a capitalist economy. Some people say nonremovable batteries promote reduced phone size and larger battery capacity but this is a lie. The Samsung Galaxy note 5 has the same dimensions and 10% less battery capacity than the note 4, yet it has nonremovable battery. Don't be deceived.

bro forget story, you know nothing about phones even 1gb RAM device handle these your so called HD games well. What's is it you are saying about optimization in splus, the phone uses 2gb RAM and the chipset is OK. Why won't it handle HD games smoothly. My stance is the infinix hot 2 is better than this p5W. Even the 1gb RAM is better. I can bet you that that your p5W will have multitasking issue

Bro you say it's the most useless ever, I have seem a camera test of the camon c8 and the galaxy s4 and the canon won the day, google is your friend go out and verify, say what you may but it does sport an ok camera, the phamtom 5 probably has the best mtk phone camera and there is actually a thread here where it's camera was put to a test against the big lovely Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and it won the day, I am not a fan of most tecno, innjoo or infinix devices cos their ui, specs and cameras are usually below par but camera wise, Tecno Phamton 5 is a killer where we agree is the fact that it isn't by megapixel size, yes I agree on that one but also edit your post, u made it sound like all iphones has a 12 mp, no they don't but what they all usually have in common is a great camera, I know as I have used the 5s and I loved it 8mp back camera and it's front cam took great pics too
