Family / Re: Why Do Most Nigerian Men Change Towards Their Wives After Having Kids by Phraences: 4:31pm On Sep 27, 2023
chocboi78:
People no longer marry because they’re in love.
Women marry who is ready financially and men marry just because they feel it’s time to hence no bond shared.

Also women tend to loose shape and beauty due to the rigors of child birth and also exhibit a drop in hygiene level.
Lastly , some men are generally promiscuous. They discuss round a table full of beer with the their bottle of beers and discuss how many girls they’ve conquered and use em to keep scores.

This is the honest truth. I see some testimonies from women who have been praying to settle down. Then all of a sudden someone proposes, maybe an old friend or someone they just met, and in three months they are married. Did you marry him because of love or because you are running out of time? Did he marry her because of love or because he feels it is time to settle down and birth the next generation? That’s why inability to conceive can destroy a marriage in Nigeria. If you never marry at a certain âge in this society you are a failure. If you don marry and you never conceive after some time you be failure. So people unknowingly imprison themselves because of society. However, men are lucky. Society has given them the power to cheat and not be held accountable so for a short time they can be free from the marital prison while the woman is shackled with taking care of the children and having to be a good wife and mother.

Everyone is just beating about the bush even though the reason is obvious.

Once a woman starts having kids, she loses her attractiveness as a result of all the body changes that come with child birth. This puts the man off or gradually makes him lose interest in her especially when he still sees young girls with perky breasts, plumper and firmer bodies out there. This is the whole truth.

A married man used to disturb me some time ago and I'll always shun him. One day he saw one small fine girl that came around and told me to him talk to the girl and I asked him what of your wife and he said " that one na condemn property now" .. chai!!! Laugh wan finish me that day. This is a man with 5 kids o.

And not all women have money to go for breast lift, vaginal rejuvenation surgery etc. Childbirth is really hard on a woman. A godfearing man who loves his wife will not cheat. He will see beyond the physical.

The fundamental question is 'was there love before the kids came'? 'Why did they get married in the first place?' etc.

Then you would have your answer.

They got married to further their lineage. Most people marry nowadays because society demands it.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Rwanda’s Paul Kagame Wants A 4th Term by Phraences: 8:25am On Sep 21, 2023
Rolings:

Yes
But does he have to do that with Dictatorships?
This is one of the problems of universal adoption of democracy.
Mugabe warned that Africans should develop African democracy.....the type of democracy that is suitable for Africans is quite different from the type that will work in Europe or Asia.
For instance....he posited that Africans are used to having kings and a king only got replaced at death or abdication....so African leaders shouldn't be limited to two or three terms.....but should be allowed to rule for life or very long.
But Western democracies won't have any of it....it's either you practice democracy the western way or not.
All over Europe there are still Monarchies in place and the governments of those countries are subjected to the throne. All Rishi and his government does will still have to be endorsed by King Charles.....who is deceiving who

But from Singapore to Rwanda we have seen that for there to be development in Africa or Asia it isn't the same process as in Europe.

If we want to talk as democrats ...... We shouldn't regard Lee Kwan Yu or Paul Kagame....they are dictators.

cheesy cheesy cheesy See talk. So a man should be allowed to rule for life as a president? Lol. Even the King of England rules for life as a ceremonial head. He has no say in Government. So Africans should adopt Presidency for life? If Mugabe truly said this he must have been on drugs. Power drunk people always look for excuses to hold on to power. There is nothing wrong with democracy only that African leaders do not want to abide by the principle of it. Rule for two terms of 4yrs each and get the f*ck out of there. People like Kagame are making democracy look bad because he has changed the constitution for his personal interest and there is no way there won't be voter suppression or apathy. Same with Uganda. Presidents trying to rule for life. Democracy on the surface but not in principle.

Listening to "Ask about me" by Mohbad just makes me feel down. One part he was like "please don't step on me". Naira Marley and Sam Larry stepped on this boy and kept on stepping. God o! Why did you place this Star in a family of unfortunate parents who couldn't even take care of this special gift. cry Chai. A Shining Star lost prematurely.

I always say this. If God and the stories in the bible are real it might have been better for Jesus not to die for our sins. Let us all live in old testament. Judgement should be swift and instant. God, I'm so pained.

If God can allow young talents like Mohbad, Dagrin, CD John and Selena Quintanilla-Pérez to die then if Naira Marley wants to go and meet his maker he should go ahead. He might not be guilty of murder but he is guilty of bullying, harrasment and assault.

And for your information people don't take things seriously until death is involved. That's the truth about life. He cried out and people ignored thinking it's the usual fight between label and artist. And Naira Marley also tried to frame his as a druggie so people won't pay him any attention.

That is why i said Nigerians are feeling guilty for ignoring him and for ever supporting his abuser.

When you see the videos of Mohbad singing, his testimony in church talking about God made him the light that never dim, his name ILERIOLUWA meaning Promise cry his nickname meaning light, the beautiful songs with hidden meaning, the videos of him being harassed, the videos of him with bruises, another of him crying in hospital bed, his tweets about the harassment in October 2022, the gaslighting from Naira Marley trying to paint him as a drug addict, Nigerians ignoring him and then realising after his death that he truly was a Star.

When you put him side by side with Naira Marley and realize he is dead and Naira Marley is alive you will understand the pain of Nigerians because it's as if yet again Evil has triumphed over Good and Darkness over Light.

And Nigerians for long embraced the EVIL called Naira Marley and gave him power.

In the hatred for Naira Marley also lies the pain of betrayal..

Musicians are usually forgiven for shortcomings because of their music but this has crossed into Death and Naira Marley music is nothing to write home about in the first place..

He deserves to be cancelled totally and banned from Nigerian entertainment industry.

That’s why I said Nigerians are very emotional . Why support someone arrested for fraud when they were still investigating ? Still doing the same thing now though against Naira Marley.

When you like someone sometimes it blinds you. Most young people saw Naira Marley's behaviour as cruise even going so far as calling him our Marlian president, Naira for president etc. He came from UK like so many artists and Nigerians gave him a chance but this Mohbad's death has exposed the EVIL he truly is.

And what exactly is your point? Are you saying Nigerians should give Naira Marley the benefit of doubt? With all the video evidences circulating on social media. Mohbad tweeting in October 2022 about Naira Marley's harrasment? The video of him crying on hospital bed? The interview of Bella Shmurda etc.

Is it not enough for Nigerians to be emotional?? Someone cried out and he was ignored. Now he is dead and Nigerians are feeling bad about it. So why should Nigerians not be very emotional about this issue.

If you are a Marlian say so and stop going through the corners.

You think it's about whether he killed him physically?? He bullied and assaulted him mentally, emotionally and psychologically. The boy became hypertensive. There was a video of Sam Larry harrasing him on set in JUNE 2023. They were still chasing this boy. Naira Marley will never survive this. Nigerians don't forgive betrayal. hodari:

You're 100% right. Rwanda is a police state and people watch their shadows and are afraid to speak against the government. Like how Nigeria used to be under military rule in the 70s and 80s.

Not only that, Paul Kagame's regime preaches "reconciliation" but 90% of the government, military, police, private sector, etc is composed of minority Tutsis. Let nobody cheat you, it's very easy to tell who is a Tutsi or Hutu from physical features and also the Tutsi hate Hutu people with a passion.

Kagame has become more and more paranoid by the day, he's now even murdering his political opponents far from Rwanda borders-in South Africa, Mozambique, Kenya, Canada, Sweden, etc He is now killing even his fellow Tutsi like Faustin Kayumba Nyamwasa and Patrick Karegeya...former trusted high-ranking Rwandan officials. Not even young Youtubers and musicians are being spared death in Kagame's hands. He is a very ruthless dictator.

Go to inside Kigali-places like Nyamirambo and speak to the locals. You shall realise Rwanda is a terrible ticking time bomb.

This is what happens to sit tight leaders. They become paranoid and start killing perceived enemies. Same with this Syria president, Bashir Al Assad. I remember one interviewer (BBC or CNN) saying that he was jumping at every noise when they interviewed him.

Paul Kagame is not the only person that keep Rwandans together and guarantee development. He is like any other dictator in history and his excesses will unravel when he is gone. Kagame is no messiah but a man who like most African leaders is so much in love in power that he is scared of life without it. Rwandan without Kagame at this time will have a better and smoother sustainable developmental trajectory that comes with natural political stability into the future than artificially-stable Rwanda with Kagame's 4th term in office. All he need to do is to facilitate a constitution that deliberately engenders national unity with intentionally interests-balanced parliament and the hand over to another government to have it tested.

You have the right to hold your opinion and I respect that.

I suspect all these dictators have stolen the country blind so are afraid of what the next president will discover when he gets there. If you are doing well truly for the country why not leave while the ovation is loudest. African leaders are just drunk on power. He wants to ruin the goodwill he was so far.

Power corrupts but absolute power corrupts absolutely. All it takes is for some group of people or journalists to start protesting this 4th term and watch him come down hard on them.

People like you are extremely thoughtless.

You are BODYGUARDS of western imperialism.

Africa will never make appreciable progress UNTIL SHE RECOGNISES THE FOREIGN DIMENSION TO HER PROBLEMS.

If Africans have YOUR MENTALITY of ''oh, leave the white man alone, everything that happens is OUR fault'', you will STUPIDLY elect a well dressed, well spoken WESTERN STOOGE who will sell your resources for a pittance to France in exchange for French protection.

THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME IN AFRICA, because of MUMU people like you, too scared to look at imperialists in the eye and say ''FCK OFF''.

Too timid and afflicted by racial inferiority complex to ''blame the white man''.

Too MUMUISH to ask your leader where he stands vis-a-vis the imperialists prior to electing him.

In your shortsighted ignorance, all you think is ''will he chop our money''?

But the problem goes wayyyy beyond that.

He could be personally clean, but be a stooge who allows western companies to loot free oil, impoverishing the nation. Or under-declare crude oil extracts, or evade corporate tax obligations. Or engage in deep borrowing to tie the nation to imperialist creditors. Or allow terrorists to bring chaos to the country.

SO YOU MUST INCLUDE the degree of allegiance an intending leader has to imperialist interests, when assessing him.

UNTIL YOU ARE READY TO ASK SUCH QUESTIONS, FORGET ABOUT DEVELOPMENT.

Na you be President of all the Mumus. Iberibe.
