No mixture of any foreign breed in that dog. It's a pure mongrel. I don't know where you got to see the traces of a foreign breed in the dog especially GSD as you stated. Maybe you have facts I can't see

Both dogs were not born and raised here in Benin, they were born and raised in zaria by a vet doctor who actually knows what he is doing and has been in the biz for more than 15 years..
Track was purchased some time last year and lay-la came to use few months ago.. They are about the same age [ track is a bit older tho] he is 3yrs and a couple of months.. So that's it for background.. And o hence I forgot [ lay-la is pedigree] both parents where imported into the country but track background is rooted in the country, never the less track is a very good Rottweiler..

The fact that the dog is from imported parents doesn't make the dog a pedigreed dog. The parents may be from pedigreed dogs but may not also have been pedigreed before they came in. There is a difference between the word pedigree and the other which is "pedigreed".

I ain't trying to bad mouth your dog bro, but there is a misconception in Nigeria about a dog being from Pedigree parents and the dog him/herself been pedigreed. If a dog is imported as a puppy, there is a 85% chance the dog has not been pedigreed but is from pedigreed parents i.e, the parents have been registered in their Country's Kennel Club or breed club but the dog itself is just relying on the pedigree documents of his or her parents (this is because the puppy left that country before the age of being registered and entered into the database) but he or she doesn't have his or her own stand alone documentation. Pedigreed dogs are not supposed to rely on any other dog's documentation but are to stand on their own documentation.

If Layla is a pedigreed dog, can I have her registration number so I can look her up in any database in the world?.....I'm very sure she doesn't have one. If the parents have been pedigreed before they came in, you can also forward their registration numbers so as to verify your claim. I ask because i want you to understand what i mean.

So many folks out there been claiming their dogs are Pedigreed dogs in a country with no Kennel Club. It is funny isn't it. Very sure the dogs are pure bred but they have not yet been pedigreed.

Well i can see you can't even see the further damage he's doing to the canine world in the Country by calling a mutt a GSD. Thereby misleading people and getting them misinformed that this mutt is a GSD where as it is never near the letter "G" let alone GSD

a GSD being white does not make it impure lemme give yu an instance. boerboel breed standard says males should be between 65 to 70cm at withers but afrika sakabuka is exactly 78cm at the withers (his parents are normal height, his litter mates are normal height) which is way beyond the breed standard and his appraisal score is around 90 so does being too tall make him impure? and I know a DDR breeder here in nairaland(i don't want to mention him) that has a pedigree DDR that is not up to the height stipulated by the breed standard. in Pitt world it is not advisable to breed a cur dog but that does not make the dog impure just that it does not possess the real thing so it should be kept as pet and only the best should be bred. even among litter mate some dogs come out differently from their litter mates so will yu can a particular pup amongst a litter from same parents impure and the others pure? what about Zeus the tallest dog ever was he not more than the breed standard but he still died as a great Dane(is he even dead?) . it's just like saying an albino is not African becos he lacks melanin or a short child from very tall parents is not their child a white GSD is still a pure breed GSD just that it should not be bred because white is not desirable and therefore should not be bred

If you claim there is a white GSD, I'll appreciate if you get your facts right and do more research. Anything white looking like a GSD is no GSD as they are called a separate breed. Find that out yourself.

So come out and tell me this particular dog's parents are GSD but unfortunately she came out differently..I have a dog at the same age with this dog, you can do the comparison yourself.

Bro please kindly remember very well. It is never possible to get a puppy at 3 weeks when they are just getting their eyes opened. If that was the age the seller told, that is the greatest scam of the century. You've gotten a dog bred from an impure Caucasian and some kind of Sable GSD. People do it because some people want cheap dogs. You have a pet quality dog but my fear is I doubt it if you won't breed with this dog. It is very bad for breeding but good as a pet.

You want to hear the truth, don't mate your male with any dog aside his own breed. If you do, then you don't love that special breed but just wanting to get money out of it. Mating two different breeds of dogs is also part of Animal Cruelty...Why?
You will be bastardizing the said breeds of the dog until they turn mutts. So many dogs are been paraded here on this platform with people calling them what they are not and the funny thing is they will be arguing with you. It all started this way you are trying to go into. Please desist from such if you love your dog.

I have been tagged a bad person because i said the dog is not a GSD. I wanna believe we all are educated, we have the internet with us and can definitely make a research. I made a challenge to them all to prove me wrong about this dog by using every available resources they can use, so far i have read nothing except the fact that i said the dog is not a Gsd, I am criticizing.

The main reason why i am against this dog is because very soon the said owner will have this dog bred thinking it's a GSD and as such the bastardizing of the breed continues. Africans hate the truth especially when you say it to their present circumstances.

This dog is good for pet, might likely be good for security, but it's very bad for breeding. But nobody wanna listen, everybody wanna makes money. That is the exact problem.

One can have pups that meet the breed standard and others that don't in same litter from purebred parents. For instance a solid white coloured pup from a litter of purebred GSD's, at the moment, does not meet the breed standard. This is currently considered a fault in the breed and the recommendation is that dog should not be bred. This, however, does not mean that the breed standard may not change in the future. The white pup is surely a GSD, purebred like its litter mates, but still does not meet the breed standard.

Purity is mainly determined by ancestry and genes, not necessarily morphological appearance.

But looking at what you, said it shows you wrong. According to the FCI and the AKC, breed standard are not meant for the dog to qualify for breeding purposes alone, they are guide lines every so called breeder must work with to maintain that specific breed of dog you are into. If any fault comes up like you said, the pup is advised not to be bred with because it does not conform to the breed standard and as such is not pure. Breeding with it would only cause further damages. This is because breeding must continue to still have these specific breed so they won't go into extinction. So definitely to me you wrong with that statement. Take for example the GSD, that is my area and I'll explain to it to you. The German working lines are the perfect example of a GSD according to the breed standard Max Von Stephanitz the founder of the GSD laid down as at then and even conform to the present breed standard, no faults whatsoever, yet it is advised not to breed with them because they are working dogs. What would you say to that?
The breed standard changed overtime like you said and we have so many GSD out there now that are different from what he bred at his time. They are out there because they all conform to the new breed standard.
Conformation to the breed standard definitely shows purity because the breed standard is what defines if the dog is pure or not. If it's not that, then the old white GSD wouldn't have been blotted out. The old white GSD now called White Shepherds conformed to the breed standard of Max Von Stephanitz because he said the colour of a dog has nothing to do as long as it portrays the ability to work.
So if the pup in the same litter does not meet up with the breed standard, what do you call it?
Pure or impure?......fine it was bred purely but it came out impure. I've seen it happen too. But if it is pure, nothing would have stopped any breeder from breeding again with the said dog.

So i don't know where you got your mix breed from. If it's not a GSD, it is never a GSD.

Check their stocks. Would you compare his dog to what i posted and call his own a GSD. That is the problem with Nigerians. Most don't even know GSD is one of the most expensive dog. I don't wanna talk about a price, he has internet, google up the breed standard of a GSD, if it meets up, check pictures. Blood don't lie naa.

The dog below in that picture was 3months plus. Though he's 7 months now. If he calls his own a GSD, what is mine then. I don't need a google to tell me there is a big difference between the two dogs.
