Spy360: Barring loss of form, those comments were accurate.
You may wish to take a second look at it, there was a condition attached. Walcott has never been arsenal quality He scores nice . goals but his work rate is atrocious |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by pickabeau1: 7:12pm On Mar 03, 2016 |
Spy360: Walcott has pace and is a better finisher than Giroud, he can also score with both feet.
But, positional awareness is the reason why Wenger is relunctant to play him as a CF. Positional awareness can make a striker get totally missing in a game. Some may drop to midfield so as to get a feel of the ball. Whenever Walcott gets this right he will be the best striker in Europe, because honestly I rate him as one of the best finishers in the game, better than Ronaldo and Aguero.
Henry had the same problem when he arrived at Highbury, but overcame the challenged and became the best striker in Europe then.
So, while Walcott is a better goal scorer, Giroud is a better CF. When the going was good Walcott the striker |

Is this the conversion of pataki See turn around on Walcott
September 2015 Pataki: Shots per goal ratio actually shows for last season that:
Walcott - 4.6
Ronaldo - 4.7
Aguero - 5.7
Not forgetting that this is the same Walcott who was just returning from almost a year long injury that made him miss the World Cup. March 2016 Pataki: For next season - these are players I don't want to see again in Arsenal: 1) Giroud 2) Walcott 3) Ramsey 4) Wilshere 5) Flamini 6) Arteta 7) Mertesacker 8. Sczeszny 9) Sanogo And not forgetting: 10) WENGER! That jester of a manager has gone past his value date. He should please just leave. Enough is enough with this same foolishness year in, year out. Buy good players, he refused. Now make sensible substitutions, the tosser takes out the best player for the night and leaves a Giroud who has played 10 matches with ZERO goals on the field. What a facking w@anker! |

Spy360: Millennia ago?
May be you slept off while we won three titles over the last decade.
My mind conditioning is to cushion the effect of missing out on this year. That doesn't mean I am no longer optimistic.
So long as it is Leicester and Tottenham above us, there is a philosophical hope, Philosophy So what is your take on this shambolic game we just witnessed |

Spy360: Yes, presently I am conditioning my mind to be satisfied with a top four finish.
Not withstanding, some seasons ago, Arsenal found themselves 15points behind Spurs who were in 4th place with just 10games to go. Then Spurs had Bale in their ranks.
Arsene led the team to a 10game winning streak, after beating Spurs 5-2 and usurping them on the last day.
If, a big if Arsene can relive that magic, hopefully the title can be ours. Hopefully. You are now seeing what some of us have seen millennia ago Cc: sod09 Where are the Walcott backers... Does he have a footie brain? |

Keky: I think its astonishing that Ozil has 18 assists in the league given the current bottle jobs up front he works with some matches. Those numbers will mean very little if we don't go on and win the league. Is this compensation as a title |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by pickabeau1: 8:06pm On Mar 01, 2016 |
Spy360: Its about 11games to go. Its not over yet, but the manager and players have so far failed us who try to give them a chance.
I will still be hopeful that we can make it, but my hopes were really tested yesterday.
Like as I have always pointed out, it lies on Wenger to prove his onus this season as there can be no more excuses.
My conclusion now is that Wenger should consider stepping down if he fails to deliver the title. You are hoping against hope |

Allowing a lazy player like Walcott play top 9 is not about buying
Not covering players in a zonal marking system is not about buying
