Daejumong: Beautiful weddings involving well educated, polished and rich Christians. The marriages are blessed with kids and the couples are doing mighty things for Jesus. The home front is sweet and the glory of Christ continues to shine through their lives.
Dear Christian youths, God’s standards remain sure. Stay true to His words and He will never disappoint you.
Hebrews 11:6 6 …. God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. This is white wedding OP. Having white wedding doesn't make you holy or whatchamacallit? This is a typical western cultural wedding, and anyone having this kind is playing second fiddle. |

Politics › Re: Top 10 Poorest States In Nigeria by Pickieox(m): 9:50am On May 04, 2025 |
mu2sa2: The problem is how to identify those who are truly poor. There are people in Nigeria who are classified as poor, that is, living on less than a dollar daily. But some of these people may have much more money at their disposal. Ordinarily you'd classify beggars as poor, but believe me many of them aren't poor at all, they're just preying on other people's generosity. A man recently narrated how he'd been giving a certain beggar 2k on Fridays, but later discovered that the beggar owns three keke that he's hiring out. The method they are using in assessing the poverty level is misleading and wrong. This popular quote comes to mind, some people are poor, all they have is money. |
Education › Re: Which University Abroad Admits 3rd Class Grade Students For Master's by Pickieox(m): 9:43am On May 04, 2025 |
casualobserver: You can enrol for a masters degree without a bachelors degree. It depends on many things. 1) the university. 2) the standing or reputation of the university where you obtained your 1st degree 3) your work experience 4) the demand for the course and 5) whether you are paying foreign or home student fees. 6) the quality of your cover letter stating why you should be admitted despite not meeting the requirements.
I know someone who got a masters degree in a prestigious university in the Uk who didn’t have a degree (he dropped out) but he had worked in his fathers business in Nigeria for a few years and had become a manager…possibly even a director. When I was doing my Masters degree in the UK, the stated minimum was a 2:2 but we discovered one of our classmates had a 3rd classs …….from Oxford University!
So the answer to your question is yes! The question is how you present your admission case to get accepted into a master’s degree that is worth your investment i.e a good university and a good course! If it is just to obtain a masters degree, the. there are tons of universities both good and bad that don’t have enough students applying for some courses and will admit anybody with money. A masters in a subject without demand from a university without a good reputation may turn out just as unhelpful in the job market as a 3rd class degree.
I don’t want to mention names but I know very successful people in Nigeria who got a 3rd class (even pass) did not do a masters and rose to the top of their profession. They were always intelligent but spent their time at university partying!
It also depends of the field, In some cases a master’s is a waste of time and he is better of doing a professional certification. E.g Marketing, IT, accounting, In some cases the guy without a degree but with professional certification will get a job ahead of the guy with a master’s!
Uk Universities are now self funding and money talks. They will bend their rules of admission for money. You just have to be creative with your application. For instance if you want to apply to LSE, apply for a course that is in less demand. Instead of Msc economics or MSc finance, apply for MSc Accounting and finance, MSc economics and management, MSc econometrics and mathematical economics etc. It’s a less prestigious course but what you want in the job market is a masters that says LSE on it! Woe unto any HR manager from Nigeria not to call you for an interview with a masters from LSE!
What they will do is put you on a wait list and if they don’t have enough numbers they may give you a late admission.
PS: most universities will advertise on their website which courses have vacancies (aka less demand)
Finally, target the best universities, you are trying to make up for a 3rd class. You wont do that by getting a masters from a mediocre university. Don’t forget they want and need your money! You're right about this. |

Hohaiiiode: must you complain over everything? Don’t expect him to seize power and leave ? It is ideal! But you wouldn’t have done the same if you were in his shoes! It is left to see if he would affect his country negatively! All this charades of elections that cost billions and end up being stolen by the elite is just a waste! "All this charades of elections that cost billions and end up being stolen by the elite is just a waste!" You have a point though. If democratic leaders performed their jobs, no one will topple them out of power. Alas, their coming to power is just a waste of resources and more pain to the masses especially what Nigerians are experiencing at the moment. |

GistMedia0: Germiston, South Africa – In a heist described as both daring and meticulously planned, a group of criminals broke into a First National Bank (FNB) branch in Germiston by digging a tunnel beneath the building and making off with an undisclosed sum of money.
According to preliminary investigations, the robbers gained access to the bank premises on Victoria Street by excavating a tunnel leading directly into the banking hall. Once inside, they used grinders to break open several safes. Both the bank's CCTV and alarm systems were reportedly deactivated during the incident, raising suspicions of an inside job.
The robbery was discovered when staff returned to work after the long public holiday and found the premises ransacked and the vaults breached. Law enforcement officials have since launched a full-scale investigation.
“No arrests have been made at this stage. We are pursuing several leads and reviewing forensic evidence from the scene,” said a spokesperson for the South African Police Service. Great one. I love this. Smooth, smart and intelligent criminals. Now, it's time for bank manager and the bank authorities to inflate figures of money stolen to their insurance company. Double cash out🤣🤣🤣 |
