There's a timeline a governorship election case can be filled
At the Appeal court sef, PDP will only be able to defend herself and explain to the Judges why the polling units shouldn't be cancel. So of the majority votes by the tribunal that didn't go in favour of oyetola Can't that be contested too? |

Politics › Re: Pease What Is Fuel Price In Your Area Today? by Pickmycall: 9:26pm On Jan 30, 2023 |
Kobonaire4: Refineries can only be built when there is no subsidy...meaning there is chance of profits being made. The reason why NNPC cannot build new refineries and why its refineries collapsed was because the subsidy regime means that no profits were being made sufficent enough to pay for new refineries.
(Dangote refinery is being built because Dangote took loans...which banks could give him...because he has the collateral).
Besides, it costs money to refine fuel. Refineries at home won't guarantee cheap prices of fuel. You and buhari dey craze I swear. |

No plans for the country.Tinubu's only campaign is insult |
Politics › Re: Pease What Is Fuel Price In Your Area Today? by Pickmycall: 9:05pm On Jan 29, 2023 |
Kobonaire4: Yes, because
1.That is a side effect of free money. When there is free money, which is what subsidy payments encourage, abuses results.
2.And diversion to neighbours happen because fuel costs N180 here and N500 and above in all our neighbours. N400 in Niger. When that happens, any intelligent mugu would smuggle....and they would even have enough to bribe customs, and go home with a lot of money.
That is why subsidy has to go...so that there would be no more free money, and by extension no more collection of money for petrol not imported, and also, no more smuggling...since prices would be the same all over,
Another problem with subsidy is our population is growing...and growing fast. And because power supply is bad, we use a lot of petrol in our generatiors and stuff...infact our private secotr runs on generatiors...and then people buy cars and so forth..and all use petrol
More people use petrol...more subsidy costs rise....to a point beyond which government can pay.
Also, fuel costs a lot to refine...and increasing costs asscoiated with production means that fuel prices rise as a result...plus oil prices are also high...and with that subsidy costs go up.
Finally, NNPC brings in fuel at N500 and sells it at N150 to depot. Before it was N230 to sell to depot at N150 some 18 months ago. At some point NNPC losses would be beyond what subsidy can cover
And thus here we are. Should the refineries not be built before subsidy is removed? So government should remove subsidy and still be importing petroleum products? |
Politics › Re: Pease What Is Fuel Price In Your Area Today? by Pickmycall: 5:00pm On Jan 29, 2023 |
Kobonaire4: You want PO to push the price to N87 or N40, in the first few weeks of power...meaning that subsidy costs would shoot up to nearly 10 trillion naira per annum....when under Buhari it never reach 5 trillion per annum.
You guys, you should accept that good governance involves letting fuel marketers set their prices, like other businesses. Rice is not scare , nether is beans because they can set their price. Do you know if the subsidy payment is given to non existing oil marketers? We have heard in the past where subsidy is paid to individuals and oil marketers but the product is never delivered. Those who manages to bring the product diverts to neighbouring countries to sell. How about that? |
