I have been in the Academia for many years, and I have thus made some few observations about Nigerian universities.

1) The most active male ASUU unionist lecturers are usually the most indictable in sexual harrasment cases.

2) These crop are active in ASUU because they need the camaraderie of their colleagues to cover their atrocities in the spirit of espirit de corps. Infact these are the ones who will tell you 'The V.C can't do anything to me if you report me'.

3) Sadist lecturers usually have only M.Sc, neonate PhDs or spent a very long time getting their PhD. Very few cerebral professors are sadists.

4) Infact the best and most intelligent lecturers have an open door policy. You can call them anytime of day and they'll still guide you what you need to do to get your problems solved.

Sure they lost around 2 million people, but that was in a low intensity war that lasted over 22 years! There was never really a hot war in Sudan. It was always a low scale guerrilla affair from the get go between roughly equal parties, as far as I'm aware. Comparing the far more deadly Biafran conflict with the Sudan war is truly irresponsible.




So why una surrender na? Groups that are as powerful as you claim to be do not have their leader fleeing to another country in the heat of battle, and do not face mass starvation, or waving white flags of surrender.

They suffered starvation, hunger, death in millions, yet today they are still existent and most importantly free from the Janjawe..eds and you think Igbos can't duplicate such a feat if their very existence, lands etc is directly threatened with all their human capacity and intellectual resources, backed by a strong diaspora population? Do you know your 'gowon' soldiers died more in their numbers than Biafran soldiers? Go do your research.

You guys think too much of UK, UN, US and the international community. They are only after their interests. Gowon never wanted war, he only wanted power and to avenge the January 1966 murders. He saw the civil war as a fight between brothers and not a fight to the finish. If he had allowed a genocide against the igbos, it would have weighed heavily on the conscience of Nigeria and rendered the victory meaningless.

Remember in history, many other tribes had been exterminated after losing a war. Most south American tribes were extinguished by the Spanish.

Were you also going to exterminate millions of Igbos who fled to Gabon, Equitorial guinea, Tanzania, Sweden (Von rosen took many to Sweden), Tanzania, Ivory Coast, Haiti?

Try as you may, no one can exterminate the Igbos whose population at that time was even 15 times greater than Jews under Hitler.

The worst case scenario would have been a protracted guerrilla warfare which would have either ushered in a Biafra or continued struggle to this day with a huge possibility of the war crossing into your own region whether you liked it or not.

Igbos are stubborn to a fault when they believe in a cause. My dad and his brothers never surrendered their weapon after the war. They kept it.
