Subsidy removal under Jonathan was meant to cover up 2 trillion scam;
but subsidy removal under Buhari is meant to stop scam and put things right.

Facts:

Suddenly, under d Angel of Corruption in 2011,
Subsidy jumped to N2.19trillion.....How? Explain[b]....

The next move to cover up trillions looted in his first year was "subsidy removal".....Thank God we resisted the move, at least it was not available for him to share it with Dasuki, Diazeni, Bank CEOs, Miliatary service chiefs, eligious thieves across...

That resistance led to Farouk Lawal panel....Farouk was getting too close
to the root of ds scam called subsidy through NNPC...
Then the need to use greed as a bait to halt d panel.
Otedola, a private citizen, had all money used to bribe Farouk marked, and also recorded the scene...Simple FG was involved..
So Farouk the greedy guy fell for it. But instead of picking up Farouk, the entire panel and their findings went with it...

Five years of oil boom, they can't build one refinery, yet shut down the available 3 refineries
so as to share more loot via "inflated imported figures"...
That was the real issue then...

The real issue now is obvious: We can't afford it again.
PMB is dealing with the corruption the hero instituted,
You don't have to like his face, or who has not been picked up in APC.
What you still can't deny is that those picked up have not denied it...
Just within 12 months under PMB, efcc has recovered over N600B...Yea!

Within 7 months, Kachikwu has shown us that those refineries can work, just within
7 months....
I trust PMB, I trust Kachikwu. I know they will use the money saved from this opportunity
to revive and build local refineries...
Then, there will be no need to import again, then the price will surely be cheaper...

Deal with it, if you don't like his gut, wait till 2019.

The Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) said the inscrutable fuel subsidy removal, at a time the country is facing its most-potent internal security threat ever, has expos[b]ed the limitations of President Goodluck Jonathan as a leader and heightened the need for elder statesmen to come to his rescue, before he brings the house crashing down on all[/b].

In a statement issued in Lagos on Monday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said no one needs a soothsayer to know that the removal of fuel subsidy and the lingering Boko Haram threat are a potent mix that can push the country to the precipice in this New Year.

It therefore called on the National Assembly, as the true representatives of the people, not to betray those who elected them - as President Jonathan has done - and also on Organized Labour not to abandon the people, their constituency, adding: ''Both the National Assembly and Organized Labour must act to stop the subsidy removal.''

ACN said that while the Boko Haram crisis is a clear and present danger to Nigeria, the Jonathan Administration's shock fuel subsidy removal, despite opposition from most Nigerians, is like pouring fuel on a Unclad fire, the end of which will definitely not be pleasant for anyone.

''Our democracy and indeed the very survival of our nation are in peril, perhaps at a level equalling the civil war period. The PDP government at the centre, through a combination of incompetence, lack of direction and meaningless headiness, has allowed the Boko Haram crisis to fester instead of moving quickly to nip it in the bud.

From one bad news to another but no rebuttals from the usual suspects. While most Southerners have hidden their heads in shame, there's been an upsurge with new registrations amongs Hausa Nairalanders. Since Buhari came to power the number of Hausas on Nairaland has increased tenfold.
Even Miss Ngene have not been seen for days now.

OP, you sounded intelligent but unfortunately, your sense of intellect has been completed murdered on the altar of hate, spite, parochialism and dumb cynicism. According to your narratives, someone fiddled with the concept of subsidy removal(or deregulation as you called it) while another actually put his words into action. I don't think you need someone to interpret the difference between those two comparatives. The long and short of it is that OBJ never removed subsidy but Jonathan did. No matter how you try to downplay the satanic roles played by APC stalwarts in the infamous Occupy Nigeria Protests, Nigerians with untainted conscience would never be deceived. APC is a congregation of heartless human beings who should be detested by all and sundry except people like you whose conscience has been mortgaged.
