In a case of love gone wrong,a female Chinese student who tried to sneak out to meet her boyfriend died after being found slumped over an electric fence.
Jiao Chin's body was hanging over the fence at the campus of the Xishuangbanna Dai Prefecture in south-western China's Yunnan Province.
Mailonline reports that,Fellow students at the university in the early hours of the morning, found the 22-year-old only wearing a T-shirt and shorts.The fence had been erected around the university accommodation after a string of intruders tried to break in.
Roommate Qing Wan, 23, said:

'I had no idea she had left the room until I looked out of the window and saw her body down below with people and police milling around it.
'I don't know where she was going as she didn't say anything to me, but I do know she was seeing someone so maybe she had gone to meet him?'

Former President Obasanjo The party said the former president should forgive the past and come and lead it to success in 2015.

National chairman of the party, Adamu Mu'azu, offered the apology on behalf of the party in Abuja on Wednesday.

He spoke while welcoming defectors from the Labour Party, led by Gbenga Daniel, to the ruling party.

Charly Boy's Virgin Angels, Zizi and Zaza have granted their first interview.

According to Tribune, the pretty young ladies call themselves Virgin Angels who communicate with the dead. You dare not attempt to probe them further about the meaning of their names, Zizi and Zaza or where they come from. After much efforts and pleas from Tribune reporter Segun Adebayo, they eventually opened up a part of their lives while they maintained that the rest will remain with them for the rest of their lives. Yes, only the pure and the unsoiled.

They call you Zaza, where is Zaza from?

Yes, I am called Zaza and I am from everywhere. Some of us come from the sky, some of us come from the air even from the water.

Will it be right to call you Fairies?

You can call us anything you want. The most important thing is that we know who we are and we do our work when we are needed.

You said you communicated with Charly Boy’s late father, what’s the mode of your communication?

We communicate spiritually. We also communicate by trans. We help him connect emotionally, spiritually and mentally.

How long have you girls been around?

It has been long.

How did the two of you meet?

You know that sometimes, two powers attract each other and they find a common ground where they would meet. It is not about what I see in my partner or what she sees in me, it is about what we see in Charly Boy.

So, what’s the special attraction to Charly Boy?

He’s special. He’s wonderful. He’s in touch with spiritual side that we don’t see often. I think that was what brought us to him.

How did you meet Charly Boy?

We found each other physically.

We just found each other. Location does not matter as long as we are here and we are doing our work. Don’t let’s spend much time on that because we won’t get anywhere with that.

After seeing Charly Boy, who else have you found?

Charly Boy is the first of his kind. We have not found another person like him. When we get, we will let you know. You seem to be curious and you really want to know more about us. Don’t worry, you will be notified when we find another pure soul like that of Charly.

How do you want to reach me if you find it, apparently I don’t have a pure heart like Charly Boy, do I?

We will find you. Don’t worry. Whether your heart is pure or not, we will get back to you.

Do you have human feelings? I mean you are human, aren’t you?

How are you sure we are humans?Take a look at us again, do we look human to you? If we look it, then your guess is good as ours. But then, let’s say we are what we are.

You said you are virgins, how did you discover that and who actually carried out the test to confirm your virginity?

Our virginity is an ideology. It is not the physical virginity that we are talking about. We are untouched physically, mentally and spiritually because like she said, we are medium to communicate with people outside this world, like we are currently doing for Charly. He went through a sad period in his life and we had come around to help him get over that period.

What other things do you do for Charly aside communicating with his father?

We comfort him and heal him in our own way. Not physically. We are always there for him as much as we can.

How long will your healing take and what part of his body are you healing.

We will heal him as long as it takes. Healing does not have a time frame. It is a gradual process. Talking about what part of his body we are healing, we won’t want to disclose that to you.

You are young virgins and beautiful, after this process, do you plan to get married?

If we find someone worthy of us, we will get married.

Are you planning to marry the same man?

No.

I learnt you guys are still in the University, what could you possibly be doing in school if you possess the power you claim to have?

Yes, I am studying Library and Information Science but that does not stop me from assisting Charly whenever he needs me. We try as much as possible to work round things so that we won’t have to worry about this or that. Zaza, my partner is studying Law. Charly tells us what he needs and we do what we need to do. Hopefully, I will be called to the bar next year and I also hope to sue people for fun. It will be interesting.

Why do people like you need to be educated, do spirits go to school?

A part of us needs law and documentation. There are laws every where even if you can’t see them. I mean law exists in everything we do. Even the Bible and Holy Quran are books of laws. So, we need law to co-exist peacefully.

After all this is over, what is your next journey going be like that?

Like I said, we don’t know for now where we are heading to but we are surely going to a new place for another mission after the completion of work with Charly. We are happy to have been part of history in Imo State, Owerri when Charly Boy buried his father.

You witnessed when his father’s remains were lowered into the grave, what do you make out of that; do you believe that something like that would happen to you one day?

Death is inevitable. We all must die. How we die or when we die does not matter in this matter. What matters is where you go after you pass on.

So, where do you go after you are no more?

Let’s wait till we die. We can’t tell you where we are going to now when are still here.

What exactly do you people believe in?

We believe in peace. We believe in happiness. Follow your plans. Do what makes you happy and fulfilled.

Do you believe in God?

The concept about God has caused many wars. Everybody has their own gods and this is one thing that has divided men from the word go. The beauty of everything in life is to love and live peacefully with every person that comes your way.

Today’s ceremony marks the culmination of a process which began fifteen years ago and has now reached a happy and successful conclusion. Each step of our constitutional advance has been purposefully and peacefully planned with full and open consultation, not only between representatives of all the various interests in Nigeria but in harmonious cooperation with the administering power which has today relinquished its authority. At the time when our constitutional
development entered upon its final phase, the emphasis was largely upon self-government. We, the elected representatives of the people of Nigeria, concentrated on proving that we were fully capable of managing our own affairs both internally and as a nation. However, we were not to
be allowed the selfish luxury of focusing our interest on our own homes. In these days of rapid communications we cannot live in isolation, apart from the rest of the world, even if we wished to do so. All too soon it has become evident that for us Independence implies a great deal more than self-government. This great country, which has now emerged without bitterness or bloodshed, finds that she must at once be ready to deal with grave international issues. This fact has of recent months been unhappily emphasized by the startling events which have occurred in this continent. I shall not labor the point but it would be unrealistic not to draw attention first to the awe-inspiring task confronting us at the very start of our nationhood. When this day in October 1960 was chosen for our Independence it seemed that we were destined to move with quiet dignity to place on the world stage. Recent events have changed the scene beyond recognition, so that we find ourselves today being tested to the utmost. We are called upon immediately to show that our claims to responsible government are well- founded, and having been accepted as an independent state we must at once play an active part in maintaining the peace of the world and in preserving civilization. The military has arrested a foreign computer expert who is said to be behind the several video shots sent to online media organization and foreign media houses.
He was said to have been arrested with some sophisticated equipment and copies of some of the videos the terrorists had sent to online media houses on their escapades including that of the abducted Chibok girls..

A 45-year-old Greek woman was buried alive after doctors mistakenly concluded that she had succumbed to cancer.

She woke up an hour after cemetery workers had laid the last pieces of dirt on her grave in Peraia, a town in northern Greece, according to the Mirror.

But tragically, the un-named woman died before her would-be rescuers could reach her inside the plot at a cemetery near Greece’s Thessaloniki.

Now police are probing why the woman was pronounced dead by doctors treating her for cancer, only to be found alive.


Her grieving family arranged her funeral at the graveyard in Peraia, a small town 16 miles south of Thessaloniki, Greece’s main city in the north.


Shortly after the last relatives left the cemetery on Thursday, residents and a group of children playing outside reportedly heard a female voice shouting for help from inside the grave.

They called the police, and began digging up the grave to save her but she had suffocated to death inside the coffin, it was reported.

However, a doctor who was at the scene and examined the woman’s body, said she had been dead for hours and could not have been revived.

Dr Chrissi Matsikoudi told Greek TV channel MEGA: "I just don’t believe it. We did several tests including one for heart failure on the body. It would have been impossible for someone in a state of rigor mortis to have been shouting and hitting the coffin like that.”

A coroner is expected to examine the body.

Meanwhile, relatives of the dead woman say they are considering filing a complaint against the doctors responsible for her treatment at the cancer clinic.

There's a lot of craziness going on currently in Ekiti state. A day after an Ayo Fayose loyalist was shot dead by unknown gunmen, hoodlums went on a rampage destroying the campaign office of the state governor, Kayode Fayemi, as well as the APC secretariat. The thugs also destroyed properties belonging to other politicians.

Today's chaos is believed to be an aftermath of the assassination of the former chairman of the Ekiti state NURTW, Mr Omalafe Aderiye.

It has become expedient that I address you today on account of dire happenings in the land of honour, Ekiti State. With tension mounting across the state, Ekiti has been the subject of alarming headlines in the news, following the tragic assault on the judiciary.

On Monday, September 22, thugs acting on the incitement of an interested party, were involved in the sacrilegious sacking of the court while hearing on a political case was in progress.
This happened in full glare of the law enforcement agents with inappropriate response. Clearly, these brigands exceeded the limits of acceptable behavior, even in the most liberal of democracies, and ventured into the realm of blatant criminality with this desecration of the hallowed chambers of the law.

The fact that this assault did not meet with any strong deterring repercussions from the appropriate authorities further emboldened the miscreants. They subsequently attempted to prevent the Ekiti State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal from sitting, yesterday, Thursday, September 25. I am advised incontrovertibly that thugs acting on the command of Mr. Ayo Fayose, who was also present to lend his clout to the travesty, brazenly assaulted a senior judge and urged his thugs to beat him up and tear his clothes.

The court premises was thrown into confusion and those present scurried away in search of safety and security. This was on the back of his specious allegation that the judiciary in the state is compromised and biased against him. And the answer to that was to resort to jungle justice and take the laws into his hands. This has led to the closure of the courts indefinitely due to the inability of the security agencies to guarantee the safety of lives and property in our temples of justice. With the entrenched atmosphere of impunity, violence in the state has escalated with the unfortunate loss of one life and the willful damage to several properties to arson by rampaging thugs.


Since the beginning of this development on Monday, which is unprecedented in the recent history of our state, I have been in touch with the Heads of all Security Agencies at the State and Federal levels, urging them to act quickly and firmly in the interest of public law and order. It is worrisome that the slow and inadequate response has occasioned the avoidable escalation of violence in our dear state.
Against this backdrop, it is understandable that not a few stakeholders have expressed concern about what the development portends for our dear state. The brazen contempt of our hallowed law courts and the use of violence and intimidation to obstruct the course of justice is a clear invitation to anarchy of the scale and texture that characterized Ekiti State some years ago. Ekiti Kete, are those years upon us again?
Already, there is widespread anxiety about this development coming at a time the state is going through the transitioning out of one administration and the ushering in of a new one. This is a very delicate period that all stakeholders must work together to ensure Ekiti State comes out stronger for it.
During periods of transition, vital partners in progress adopt a cautious posture, watching for the slightest portents of the possible discontinuity of the regime of peace and tranquility, amongst other factors that have made our state conducive for investors and development partners. We must not disrupt our very bright prospects for sustained development in our state.

Considering the cases that have triggered the recent spate of violence are politically related, the political elite in our state from all disparate quarters must exercise caution. We must rescue our state from the precarious slippery slope that some have desperately pushed us to. We should not imperil the very people we seek to serve by resorting to violence and brigandage. One does not burn down his homestead to establish his claim of ownership or leadership.
Most assuredly, the course of Justice can only be delayed, but can never be truncated. The independence of the Judiciary is an inviolable tenet of any democracy. Accordingly, I have this morning directed the Attorney General of the state to issue a legal advisory to the Chief Judge of the state and all the parties to the existing cases in the State High Court and the Ekiti State Governorship Elections Petitions Tribunal, on the desirability of seeking an alternative venue for the hearing of these cases outside Ekiti State. The State can no longer afford to witness the bizarre spectacle of the beating up of judicial officers and wanton intimidation of lawyers and court personnel.

Now that the security agencies appear to be fully seized of the situation, I call on them not to relent in performing their constitutional role of protecting lives and property in our state.
Administrations come and go; politics can be frenetic when the stakes are high; but by the grace of the Almighty God, our state remains for all time, therefore THE PEACE OF OUR LAND IS NOT NEGOTIABLE.

Ekiti Kete, consistent with our history of unity and love, let us work together to make our state a garden of concord where our children and their children will dwell in peace and safety. Even in the pursuit of politics and justice, let us conduct ourselves as kinsmen, bound by a shared love for Ekitiland but differing only in the choice of instruments by which to accomplish the same goal.
Let us then temper our competitive zeal with civility and empathy. Let us deal truthfully with our youth, who are so liable to be led astray by unbridled political fervour, by seeing them as our children rather than as conscripts or fodder for our objectives.

Ekiti Kete, in order to forestall further descent into anarchy in our state, I am taking the very difficult decision to suspend the ‘Thank You’ tour which I’m undertaking as part of our transitioning-out formalities. Also, I have taken the decision to institute a dusk to dawn curfew in the state immediately. Accordingly, there would be no movement between the hours of 7.00 p.m. and 7.00 a.m. everyday till further notice. We urge the citizenry to be vigilant and provide the security agencies with details of suspicious activities that can undermine the peace in our state.

Let us work together to stop the violence and brigandage that has brought about serious embarrassment to our state in the last few days.
Let Peace Reign in the land of honour, Ekiti State.

Thousands of experimental Ebola vaccine doses from British GSK and US NewLink should be ready for use by early 2015 in countries affected by the epidemic, the World Health Organization said this on Friday
"If everything goes well, we may be able to begin using some of these vaccines in some of the affected countries at the very beginning of next year," said WHO assistant director general Marie-Paule Kieny.

There is no licenced treatment or vaccine against the virus that has killed nearly 3,000 people in West Africa, and the UN health agency has endorsed rushing through experimental treatments and vaccines.
WHO is especially focusing on two experimental vaccines, one made by British company GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), and the other by US group NewLink Genetics
, and is working with both companies to accelerate clinical trials, Kieny said.

Some clinical trials have begun in the United States, and others are set to begin in Mali next week, she said.

The agency has already said that, if found to be safe, some doses should be available for use to healthcare workers by November and wider use could be possible early next year.
The Canadian government has already donated 800 viles of the NewLink vaccine to WHO, and Kieny said thousands of doses would likely be available in coming months.

Around 10,000 doses of the GSK vaccine should also be available by then, she said.
"This is not a vaccine, this is a candidate vaccine," she said, pointing to the need for showing great caution in rolling out the vaccines more broadly.

The two candidate vaccines "have given very promising results in monkeys, but monkeys are not humans," she said.
Another experimental vaccine by US company Johnson & Johnson had not been ruled out, but "they are clearly behind by a few months," Kieny said.

Prisoner sues the New Mexico Corrections Department, hoping to win his right to worship Satan more freely and get $140,000 in damages.
According to Albuquerque news vendor KRQE.com, Bernard Pritchard claims that the chaplain and deputy warden at the Southern New Mexico Correctional Facility in Las Cruces treated his faith differently than others.

“Defendants denied plaintiff a reasonable opportunity of pursuing his faith comparable to the opportunity afforded to fellow prisoners who adhere to conventional religious precepts,” wrote Pritchard in the lawsuit, which he filed pro se (IE: he doesn't have a lawyer).


Apparently Pritchard didn't spell out precisely how the prison violated his rights or what the prison officials prevented him from doing.

The department has declined to comment about the lawsuit, but their deputy director of adult prisons, Anthony Romero, told reporters they did their best to safely accommodate every inmate’s religious beliefs.
“[They have been] given a right to practice those faiths and we want to make sure that we’re respectful of their rights,” he said.
New Mexico's Corrections policy includes guidlines for 19 different religious groups.
