I currently thinking about not going for my PTDF Scholarship Interview in Abuja.
Reason are: I am having D7 in one of the major science subject (Chemistry). I am a second author in the publication I have and, lastly I am currently in Lagos, thinking about the flight fare to and fro is demoralizing. I am trying to be realistic while also believe God for Grace.
An advice from you all will be appreciated.

--- Be very confident and composed.
--- Know your course and why you have chosen to study it, you also need to know and be ready to explain the link between your chosen course and the Nigerian oil and gas industry.
--- Know your choice university and why you prefer it (explain very reasonably).
--- Take as many certifications and membership as you can lay your hands on, do not neglect any, your interviewers may decide to count all for you.
---- If you have publications, take them along too.

They didn’t asked for WAEC or NECO?

But I use Neco for my undergraduate. Because of the chemistry. But the results are Credits, what do you advice. Should I tender my waec

It is important. Check the PTDF marking criteria for the overall grade.
Ensure you tell the panel to select your best 5 O level result. Mention the subjects.

Some people did another WAEC to obtain high marks. Some of them have finally won.

I see nothing wrong in sharing one's experience. Your destiny is predefined and nothing will ever change it. May we be favoured.

Sharing your experience will not make someone else win the scholarship over you. If God’s Grace is on you, you will win. The interview experience is not the only criteria they used. If you can’t win it help others to win it.

Editing options stopped working before 12noon self.

Almost everybody that applied got a mail for interview cos the first stage of screening was computer base screening for errors. The interview is where the main screening start. PTDF just did Bonanza with this stage.

PTDF is done sending messages. Interview will be from 23rd May to June 10th. Goodluck guys.

For any decision some1 need to sign. Be specific with your intentions.

But I don’t think you are aware of what is on ground. 97 SD Officers were commissioned with 98 DSSC Officer and 73 Regulars. Total number 268 Officers were commissioned.

This figure might not make sense to you but it is the genesis especially when the force is not expanding.

The NN will not do enlistment for officers this year. Even next year we are not sure too.

PTDF will assist you in obtaining a Visa. Just get the scholarship first

What about the admission? Will PTDF assist in getting admission for one too?

Don’t put your mind in the NN this year. Try other service like the NA and NAF.
The NN might not be taking DSSC this year.

Even if they do, it will be professionals with specialization.
For instance, they might not take general mechanical engineers but Marine Engineers.
They might not take the General ICT or Computer Science but they will take Server Administrator, App Developers, Programmers, CCNE, OCP etc.

Can someone whom studied Anatomy or Physiology still apply for Nigerian Navy DSSC? Or it is only the listed courses there that one can apply? I have searched for courses like anatomy in the previous years recruitment but did not find the course.... I am currently studying and wish to join Navy someday because of the passion I have for it...

Try applying under PTI department if it is available. U never can tell..

Thanks for the response oga pijay and others.His documents matched up with the DOB 1992 and is using a neco result which does not carry DOB.The only concern is if they ask him to explain how he finish pry at age 6 and secondary at age 12 and the fear of being dealt with if he could not explain. He reduced his age obviously. The interview is starting next week.Urgent advice

It is quite impossible to finish Secondary School at age 12. If I think of anything good before next week, I will post it here. But seriously it is a tough call cos they might ask that question if they suspect something.

As much as possible, post all your questions here so that others will learn. If u send me a mail, you can also send ur questions too. Resist the urge to ask for numbers. If u must ask ensure, your questions are worth it.

Promotion comes for God. Thanks Brother for the mention. It was just like yday. 6 years ago today, I was patiently waiting for list, at the same time thinking of how to quit my job then cos I needed to give them 2 months notice. But With God on my side, I prevailed..

Nice one. But the reason is because they was Onne to be for only Basic Training for the Ratings.

He should go and try his luck. If it is Navy, there most concern is the DOB on the credentials most especially the one on the original WAEC should tally with the one he applied with. As in the DOB should not contradict themselves.
I know someone with the same issue during NN DSSC 28 and he made it to the final stage without connect. Let him pray and believe in God because One with God is Majority.

You are contradicting yourself, your DOB must tally yes, but if they ask you when u finish secondary school and because of adjust, u said at 12 years, then something is wrong. How will u adjust ur WAEC a result to read that you finished second school at the age of 12?

Thanks and God bless u immensely. I have been away for long. Went for a course and then few run here and there. Congrats to the newly commissioned Officers. I hope u guys will contribute ur quota too here.
