hope you know we can be using the same strategy and getting different results, i am sure either here or other site nobody will reveal online exactly what he work hard and suffer for many years to get except we want to deceive ourself.

though what i do is not exceptional or epic as u call it. all d level levels mention on my post is just the support or resistance you all know, the only things i added to this is experience. i am not 40% sure of what the price will do when i enter trade. if i am sure of this i will be trading 10 lots since my draw down pips will not be more than 10

i use my experience of price action on support and Resistance levels from the higher tf to the lower. for example check my last trades and see how i pick d green level from lower tf before the price get to the level though i didnt book the buy trade at d levels cos i was not sure if it will hold.

i still remember on this forum someone asked u to run demo acct for 3 months to be sure u are serious for $500. u agreed but came with story again after 3 weeks.

I have been away from this thread for 2 reasons.

First, I got a new job. 7am to 7pm Working in Nigeria is modern day slavery I swear, coupled with Lagos daily traffic! This will be a story for another day sha.

Second, my phone. On one of the usual early morning rush, while I struggled to get unto one of the few available buses, phone fell and smashed leaving only half the screen still operative. So while I could still browse and do other things, I could not type fully. I have gotten it fixed now

Phew! So where were we? My account, yes...

Not long after I started my almighty Live account than I realised I had just begun a totally different battle from what I was used to
Damn! if Forex was Pizza, all demo trading offered was a slice

Live didn't feel like trading at all, there was a lack of the usual adrenaline and happiness that came with trading demo. All I felt everyday I woke up to trade was gloom It Felt like there was a fcking axe (forgive my french) hanging over my head mehn. All I kept hearing in my heart was how 99% of every trader blows their live accounts

And so I traded and traded. Should I even call that trading? NO! I totally ignored my trading system which stated that A + B = Entry Signal

Instead, I did everything opposite!

A - B became my best spots, I entered when I saw C Square + B-, there was no criteria for which I got into trades, I would open positions because I was happy, I got into trades because I simply felt like, other times, it would be just because I needed to have an open position. I scalped most of the time, an act I completely detested during my demo days. Emotion messed up my head pretty damn badly mehn

And Mr Market...Dear old Mr Market was passionately ruthless, it took my matter personal It bought when I sold, it sold when I bought . I would open a position at any little spike, hoping to scalp from it, only for the trade to immediately start going opposite my direction. Stuff of nightmares I tell you. And so I watched helplessly as my account dwindled and depleted before me to my utter dismay and horror.

I could go on and on and talk about the numerous ways emotion toyed with me, but then, that would not be the point.
One word to other aspiring newbies who haven't yet gone live: You see your first account? Especially the one you start with a tiny $100? You'll blow it (You can argue about it all you want). If you have a decent capital, and maybe a decent enough system you will adhere to, then maybe there's a slight chance you won't blow that first capital. Don't get me wrong, people work wonders with tiny capitals as small as that all the time, but those people are mostly not on their first live accounts.

So will I quit trading? Hell nah! I have actually come to love Forex. And so I will Demo trade again for the next 3 months. After that, I will go live again with a $100 and see how things play out. Hopefully, I will blow it again or not. But whatever happens, whenever I finally decide to trade profitably, I will go in with at least $800 to $1000 . Because you see, Babypips was right, Fxwarrior was right, all those people you hear saying you should go in with a decent capital were all right. Tight stops are what will do you in with your tiny capital . Mr Market hates and punishes tight stop losses. And heaven help you if you keep having large stops with your tiny capital.

Wow! I haven't even looked at what is happening in the markets in over 10 days now This week is gone already, I will open a fresh $100 demo account by Monday and get on with it. I can't wait to start really trading my system once again (I never for once traded it while on live.

Femora congrats on going live, but since its not your first live account, I hope you do well, I am really rooting for you! Redsox11 you're really killing this market. Boss.
Two trendlines can be drawn. Another one can be drawn using the pinbar. That one has been broken already. Infact a renowned trader used the other one which I just drew. But I have missed out on that. Best entry would have been the pinbar at the retest of the trendline.
So The horizontal support is my best bet. I also think the one I drew is valid. It has three touches.

Thanks a lot @pinbar for this strategy, it helped me to finetune one of my Bollinger Band strategy like that. Please I would like to ask; what is the take profit target? Also since you have being using it before, can you give a clue as regard the type of overbought/oversold indicate I can use along with it. Thanks and God bless

Oga Pinbar, you are kind enough to teach us but call that your chart any name : oversold,overbought,S/R blah blah but for me that's a classic age long Elliott wave theory.they are quite efficient but highly subjective, but if you're right it can be an endless cornucopia of £€$$$$$

I started trading January this year. The person that introduced me just said I should put money and copy his signals.
The first month, I blew my account without knowing what happened.
2nd month, I took action to learn, but this time I funded with little money, I thing I know is trading demo is way different from real.
On real, as a learner, I doubted my strategy, many mistakes made sha. At d end, I blew my account but this time I learned.

3rd month: I realized forex trading is like a business. You cant have overnight success just like that. Its a marathon. But its HARD.

It's good to always check ones chart at the close of each candle as regard ones time frame. My subconscious mind alarm just woke me up only to see the big move in AUD, which was actually against my trade position. Taking out the profit on it and accumulatng some losses. Though it hasn't hit stop loss, but i have to close the trade before it does more damage.
