Nearly a year ago, I created a very similar thread about their attitudes towards Jamaicans or "Jamos" as they call us. Not very many ppl on this site realize this is not some exclusive Niaja site, that if you type certain words on a search engine, this site can come up. That explains my being here. I looked up relationships btn African men and West Indian women, clicked a link and was brought to a very silly and sorry thread on this site about how we Jamo women are loose, ghetto and etc. I too took it to heart and tried to explain my view points making it clear that I see myself as a "distant African" but despite that I was attacked simply because by failing to let my emotions take a back seat, I ended up saying a few things I should not have which resulted in a month's worth of cursing back and forth.

So I understand you 100% mama. I say tho, don't generalize all Nigerian women because a lot of them are understanding and caring. Ignore those who do have a problem with your being foreign if you must but don't try to attack a whole group due to a few birds who are suffering from menopause and an addiction to Haterade.

We foreign women are not better or special than Naija women and we must keep in mind that in order to truly appreciate the men, you gotta respect the women. I sound like a broken record but it is fact because at the end of the say only a Naija woman fully understands a Naija man, and it is she at the end of the day who can teach you and me the ropes; so don't attack them. Otherwise, I am with you.
