@call4shola, try out ni-pp-le stimulation, i heard and have read in a couple of places that it works,,,,,it's gently rubbing or rolling of the ni-pp-le manually with the fingers, or suckling of the ni-pp-les and areoles by the partner to encourage contractions and begin labor.

To stimulate the release of oxytocin, a hormone that causes contractions released in the body when the bre-a-sts are stimulated you must mimic the suckling of a baby. When a baby suckles, he does not grab just the ni-pp-le, but actually massages the areola (dark circle around the ni-pp-le).
The areola can be orally massaged by the mother's partner with his fingers or lips.
The mother may prefer to massage her own areola with her fingers. To do this she can rub the areola in a gentle rolling way with her palm or fingers.

NOTE:

•Only massage one br-ea-st at a time.
•Only massage a nip-p-le for 5 minutes, wait up to 15 minutes to see what happens before continuing with the massage.
•Do not stimulate the bre-ast during a contraction.
•Do not use ni-pp-le stimulation after the contractions are 3 minutes apart or 1 minute long.

You can also combine the effects ni-pp-le stimulation with the natural prostaglandin released in se-me-n by encouraging the mother and yourself to engage in intercourse.

monie: @ all,seems like we are all going through something this week. Well I have good news, cuz am counting it all joy. I went for my 36wks appointment and was told to go for a scan,my bp was very high also, I was told my baby is 4pounds, and they have to induce me immediately as my bp was affecting him. I called my hubby,2hrs later I was in labour after they broke my water, my labour was fast thank goodness,I reacted badly to the epidural,it didn't work(labour is so painful good lord)
After 5hrs and 3 painful push my boy came out crying and screaming, he is doing fine,in NICU. Breathing on its own and trying to eat.
I will be discharged today,but I and hubby live close to the hosp thank God. They said a few days time he will be discharged. He is so hairy, can't wait to start weaving his hair. Thanks to all and I wanna encourage those who lost their babies, God is on the throne. It is very well.

Audrey I: Hi ladies. If princess, sincerely sorry about your loss. I started getting cramps Wednesday evening. By the next morning they had intensified so I went to the hospital. As soon as the nurse finished checking my vitals, I got up and instant led felt a warm gush down my legs. Well, I had a miscarriage. Had an evacuation same evening. This is my second miscarriage in 5 months. I will be going in for tests next week but I could use some advice from ladies in the house. Agiboma, your account scared me a bit, but its good to know you are feeling better. Thank God they were able to bring your bp down. All the best ladies, and a safe delivery to all the pregnant ladies.

Wendy80: It Can only be God and He's indeed Faithful....My EDD is 4th April.I went for my Anti-natal class on 21stMarch and was sent for a Scan same day.Scan result showed weight of Baby as 5.37.....I was immediately booked 4 C-Section on 23rd being Sat by 6am.
I arrived my Hospital on friday evening and exactly @ 11pm Labour started but had 2endure till morning.
@exactly 7.15 My Pretty LO came forth.......I Cant Thank God enough for this Special gift....

i promise to catch up a little later and read the post just wanted tto share what has happened to me since i last posted. I left the hospital on bp meds as my pressure was a little high. well i didnt feel right on monday so i checkd my bp it was 187/113 i took my meds and even doubled the dosage it did not go down, i called my DR she said go to the hospital and i did when i got their it went up further 202/130, they began to IV push meds into my system afraid i would have a stroke, heart attack or seizure at any moment. The med did not work enven maxed out on the dosage and my bp would not go down. Anyways they decided to do a cocktail of BP meds and it brought it down. Im sharing this because preeclamsia can happen up to 6 weeks after you deliver. I thank g-d im still here to share this story with you ladies and although my bp is not low right now it is still manageble and hopefully will be back to its original values soon enough and the meds im taking are helping out.

I just feel so sorry for my hubby,,so sad that i had to let out my anger on him just like that,,,,the guy dey try ohhh,,,over the weekend, i was just moody,,,snapping at him at every opportunity,,,when i finally started crying my heart out,,he just held me and kept on saying sorry, then he prayed for me and seriously i felt soooooooo much better.

Just relax and do as hebrew woman said, chart your temperature and make sure of your ovulation dates so if you finally have to go see a doctor, you'll have your specifics handy, that also helps with the treatment, but all in all,,put all,,,ALL your trust in God and believe.

dominique: ^^^ and to think I felt guilty for not buying my own stuff till about 34th week . The only pears product I bought is the oil (Johnsons is too watery). I bought Agnesia powder, vaseline baby jelly, nycil wipes, savlon antiseptic, johnon's baby soap, silverbird eucalyptus oil (to mix with the baby oil), mentholata balm and local pampers for the first few weeks. We wanted to buy huggies or better quality diapers but we learnt from our son who pooped about five times a day or more for the first few weeks.

@Dominique,,, u no kill person with laff sef,,,,which one be local pampers??,,,,that got me oh. seriously though, if the baby poops that much during the first few weeks/days,,,,then we gats to be pound wise oh,,,at least for two or three weeeks,,,,use sweet baby clothes take cover am.
