It's better for him to get the birth certificate with affidavit. The one that has passport attached.
The lady who outside the visa centre said not to add any other document as they won't consider it as a review anymore. She said just to explain why he got a new one a week before applying . I don't know if that is a good option

Hello People (Justwise).... So my 14 years old nephew was refused visa on grounds that
1. His birth certificate was just issued without giving satisfactory reason where the first one was
2. No prove that he has met his uncle (me)

One of the ladies outside the visa centre advised my sister to apply for a review that the reasons makes no sense. Please house, advise me on this case. What should we do. I really don't have pix with him and he didn't get a birth certificate when he was born either (careless Nigerian way of life ) help pls. Thanks

You need:

1. letter of consent from the parents(mum & daddy joint statement and signed by both)

2. Letter from his school stating the holiday period and when he is expected to resume school

3. Progress report from his school( previous result statement)

4. Letter from you explaining your relationship with his parents, it should also contain info about who will be looking after him in the UK during this period if you will be working. If you will not be on leaven then another adult should be at home with him as he is still regarded as a minor.

5. Evidence of adequate accommodation for him.

6. Your bank statement and payslips
Hello justwise. I've only got 1 evidence of accommodation which is my Internet + phone bill. Will that be enough? Other utility bills are metre rechargeable and doesn't come with receipts/statement. Also I've just realised that my payslip has got a typo error. (Flat 1 instead of flat 3). Can I just correct that with a pen and sign under it as we do in our Nigerian banks? Thanks

The statement is just to show your financial ability to sponsor him with ease.
Tell your sister to include her wedding certificate that ll show her maiden name.

About the Chealse game.. i am not sure about that, what if the ECO go be ManU fan grin

State the relationship you have with him with proof if possible. I.e marriage certificate or birth certificate that link you to either of the parents if you are that related.
Ok. I will ask his mum (my sister) to add her marriage certificate or make sure her maiden name appears on the letter she'd be writing. Will they be looking at a specific amount in my account or just generally what I earn in a month. Do I need to book tickets for Chelsea 's game next season as an evidence cause really that's why he's coming. (Question just goes on and on I guess. Lol)

Make it six month. If they are not employed or having any property it should not affect the application.
The consent letter and his schooling documents are very important.

My niece and Nephew didn't add anything except the convent letter and their school principal's letter.
Ok. Will do. Thanks for the help guys. I appreciate.

Piper4all also add their parents employment details and bank statements, property documents too.
.

They re unemployed and I don't think they have any property in their names which is why I'm sponsoring. Will that hinder his application? And do you reckon that 3 months bank statement and payslip will do the job or do I need to go back 6 months?

Thank you very much. I really appreciate. 1 more thing, how many months bank statement and payslip will be ideal to send down and can I send down printed copies from online banking? quote author=kennycanny post=35593161]

IV from you stating he/she ll be on vacation with you. That you ll be financially responsible for the trip (Remember to include where and what you do for a living).
Your utility bill
Bank statement.
your Pay slips
Copy of your international passport.

A letter from his/her parents stating there consent for the vacation with you.

A letter from his/her school principal that he/she ll be on vacation around that time and that he planned to spend the holiday abroad with you will be a good plus.
his/her last report card from school is also good.

my Niece and Nephew both 14 years got un 'unaccompanied child visa' with this.[/quote]

My GF and I have been dating since 5 years now and we have decided to get married at the end of this year. At the marriage course, I was advised to go for a genotype test as she happens to be a sickle cell carrier. I have initially done this test while I was schooling in Nigeria and they told me I don't have any traits.
However, I have just gotten a call from my GP ( General Practioner) and he said I am a carrier as well and advice I shouldn't carry on unless I don't want kids.
Is there anybody out there who has gone through a situation like this? What should I do? I'm totally confused. 5 years of blissful love down the drain?
Hmmm
