mrsdee: Hi all,
I am happy to announce my pte academic exam success. My scores are L82 W 80 R 77 and S 71. Speaking was my weak point. I had difficulty in describing the graphs. My ielts result is W6.5, R8.5,L7.0 And S6.5. I read so many success stories of pte and decided to take it. It was a very wise decision considering the many tales of woe by ielts candidates. I am so happy. Next is to apply for sa sponsorship. . Please, where can I buy the Macmilian test builder. I have dowloaded the one you posted , have read everything in expactforum; but the listening and speaking part won't play on my system. I want to buy original copy. Thank you, so much. |

bossladymo1: It depends, cos we the CSOL includes the SOL.
Basically, If you are going for a 189, the occupation has to be on the SOL, alongside yours.
If you are going for a 190, it has to be on the CSOL
What I'm not sure about is if it has to be available on the same state list as the one sponsoring your 190. But as for the above details, they are very correct. Ma'am , do you mean that both spouse must belong to the same profession like, Nursing-Nursing, Engineer-Engineer? I thought it just have to be on the same CSOL or SOL? Please, clarify @ bossladymu1 |

mrsdee: hello ferdimako
I have managed to read through all the pages and I came across your struggles with ielts and then you finally settling with pte academic. I have taken ielts with a band score of 6.5 in writing and others with band higher than 7. I am torn between taking pte or retaking ielts because ielts have gained notoriety in always leaving one band in 6.5. Indians having challenges with ielts are really smashing pte and this is kind of encouraging. I will like to please know if you were successful with your quest and your general view about the exam. I have downloaded some of the recommended books and the most challenging for me was the re-tell section. please Mrsdee, I have similar case and have concluded to do PTE-Academics. Can you help me with the materials for PTE.. piusfords@gmail.com. |

UBKtech: Well, am not a radiographer, Nwokenna is, however the process is the same. Your occupation Medical Diagnostic Radiographer 251211 is on the skilled occupation list SOL
the process is like this: 1. IELTS ACADEMIC 7.0 with no band less than 7.0 2. SKills Assessment by the Australian Institute of Radiography http://www.air.asn.au/overseasass.php 3. Expression of Interest EOI 4. Visa Application 5. Welcome to Australia!
But go here first and take the points test: you will need at least 55points to start. http://www.immi.gov.au/Visas/Pages/189.aspx
This booklet explained all the steps from start to finish http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/1119.pdf Good evening sir, by naija time. Hope you are fine. Does it mean radiographers do not write professional exam after positive assessment , just like MLS? |

UBKtech: I actually did mine in Accra, but Ghana is no longer a center, I guess due to lack of patronage. I was the only candidate then, as for preparation materials, I used a combination of Dacie & Lewis- practical haematology & Hoffbrand - essential haematology and Chessbrough for haematology & blood transfusion. Chessbrough- for microbiology Silverton & Baker for Histopathology Tietz & Chessbrough for Clinical Chemistry Never really liked Oche due to presentation.
But remember a lot of the questions require practical application, especially with interpretation of pathology results, I guess you should have observed that from the sample question paper.
Best of luck! Thank you so much @ UBKtech. After paying accessment fee of $700, do I have to still pay again for the professional exam? |
