Hello Niralanders ,
I wish to know if there's any Nigerian in Darwin Northern Territory, I want know how about life over there is,like jobs availability and living cost,Thanks.

There are many Nigerians here in Darwin. Live is good as I have seen. No traffic, but personal vehicle is very necessary. I'm yet to see someone without job for long. People combine two or three jobs here.
Living cost is not so much different so far you are earning. Accommodation is a bit high, but it also depends on individual preferences. One can find 270-300 per week for 2 rooms one bath and one car park. It's hot October to November and December. There's no cool here. I like it here.

please my people how do you guys see Darwin, is the city ok, are there jobs, is the cost of living cheap?...please someone with good info about the place should feed me up please abeg

I'm heading to Darwin and I have a warming report from people already there. Asking from someone with 190 or 189 living in a bigger city won't help you.
If Darwin is your only choice for now, abeg enter flight. Work dey, but rent is a bit high.

As per social life, let me enter Australia first and land PR before I worry about that. With all the social life in Lagos, how many I done enjoy.

Let your friend go ahead with the remark. Points won't go down .
You will get your money back if it increased.
My own was increased by 1 mark after 11 weeks of waiting game.

Good morning all, a friend needs advice on EOR for ielts.
Have a score of 9887. I adviced he should consider a remark for the writing. My questions:
1) can the remark ever turn to lower scores?
2) can the remark jump up to 8?

Thanks in adv

You need to read the first few pages of this thread. The Radio guys I know don't come on this thread again.

Your need to write IELTS Academic and score 7 bands and above in each module.
get your transcript and visit ASMIRT site to checkout the required documents and then apply for assessment.
After you get your assessment, you can apply for visa if you have accumulated more than 60 points.
Or you can approach states for nomination. The last time i checked, there are many states nominating Medical Radiographers.

Key: 7 in each module of IELTS.

Good morning House. Pls I wish to apply for Australian PR subclass 189 but I av a restriction. I am a graduate of Economics but I av been teaching for the past 3 years. I wish to come in as a teacher because economics is not available under subclass 189.My assessment organisation is aitsl. What course can I take that will yield a positive review from AITSL.... Pls help

I think they only accept degrees in education.

If you have PGDE, it will fly.
Better to check AITSL site.

@Beckini89, don't quote long passages , it only makes reading the thread difficult.

As regards your question, go to aims website and follow instructions. It's easy.
You need your academic transcript, degree result, not less than two years work experience in the position with proofs, such as payslips, reference letter from current employment and previous employers, and an assessment fee receipt.

Thank you for the response, but I am a Medical Laboratory Scientist not a technician and I applied to be assessed as a Medical Laboratory Scientist

That shouldn't bother you.
If you want to apply as MLS you just have to wait and write the exam, wait for your result.
You can go ahead and apply for the AIMS exam to be able to seat for the next one in Dubia or South Africa.

or you can go ahead and open EOI with your MLT assessment and update when you pass the exam.
189 awaits you after you have assessed as MLS and have up to 70 point, as it stands now ni.

Or go ahead with MLT if there is a state nominating by July.

@ Humility101.
Did you serve, NYSC?

Two years experience is enough to get a positive assessment from AIMS.

Please must I write the professional exam before I can express my interest?

I believe you have not gotten the assessment outcome letter.
Your assessment will be positive for MLT since they are already asking you to register for the professional exam.

As for your question, you must not write the PROFESSIONAL exam before you open EOI.
But you need your assessment letter to proceed with the EOI.

The email is to help people who wants to write the September exam meet up with registration deadline.

Relax and wait for your parcel.
