Di maria, Aguero, Palacio and Higuain have all failed to deliver when it mattered most, and these same players have always been played upfront with Messi playing behind them. Is that how it worked for him in Barcelona? No! Why can't he insist on player upfront where he can decide things himself rather than passing to a certain Higuain who has sworn never to do well in the finals? Or does the team have no player who can bring the ball from the midfield to the forwards? Messi at times, instead of pass to the useless players upfront could have decided to single-handedly take on his markers and score, this he's done so many times in Barcelona. He's the focal point in Barca while he's just another player in the national team.
