Pls what's ur thought on this? One major reason I never saw anything good about Babatunde Fashola is because throughout his 8 years in power he consistently undermined and abused the poor. He treated the poor like trash. Ambode appears determined to follow the same path. That is a sad shame because I thought he would be different. I simply cannot accept the way those Nigerian politicians continue to treat the poor. My mother sold goods on the streets of Lagos to send me through medical school. She peddled wares at Ojuwoye market. Wares that she had to collect on credit. I lived through abject poverty. I knew many folks who were in similar circumstances, who later rose to achieve something meaningful in life. I went to Unilag and met many children of the rich as well. None of them can look me in the eyes today and tell me I am not a match, in education, in social status or whatever classification. But my mother sold wares in Ojuwoye market and around the streets of Lagos. I am frustrated with the way we treat the poor in Nigeria. I get really furious and extremely bitter. What do you want them to do? To go and die? There's no social welfare, no housing, no free anything. You kept pushing them further and further into poverty. Why are you people so callous? What exactly is your problem? Is there no other way to accommodate these extremely poor people amongst you? My son recently entered a Grammar School in the UK. I went for the induction and sat there with all the proud parents of the so-called smartest kids all over the country; 80% of them are middle class white folks. Even right there the Chairman of the PTA was telling us about how they have second-hand school uniforms for those who cannot afford new school uniforms. I was wondering how anyone there could possibly be hard up. These are mostly middle-class folks. But the issue is they have a system that is always looking out for those who may be struggling. They never assume that everybody is fine. This is a school where virtually everything is free except your school uniform and the food. Yet, they still make provision for parents who may be unable to afford a mere £100 to buy all the various school equipment. We need to condemn these irresponsible politicians. To be poor is not a sin. Why do they think they have to punish the poor for being poor? The new law in Lagos which criminalises being poor is a terrible indictment of a system that is terribly insensitive. Lagos does not belong to the rich only. Ah, why can't these rich people live and let others live too? Copied! |

Robbers::: My very short first hand experience with highway robbers that smash car window... Was to meet with someone not latter than 8am at the Island today (monday), and we all know going from Mainland to the island most especially Lekki, if you are to meet up with that time you will have to leave home as early as 5am or 6am on dot else you don't need a suit sayer to tell you anything latter than that will only get there at 9:am or 10am because of traffic.... So I dash out, got to one of the bustops along ikorodu road, Ojota precisely. I didn't want to take Danfo buses because I don't want to be delayed due to their intermittent stoppage to pick passengers. So one of my options was stopping a taxi, but again because it's too early and every where was still dark I couldn't differentiate taxi's from other private cars with their lighting all flashing towards my eyes was just waving my hands thinking I might be lucky to flag down a taxi but to no avail. Then suddenly from my numerous flagging one of this mini power byke pulled over... I just jumped on it before I even asked the guy how much and where I was going, he was obviously heading to his own work place but I thought in my mind we might be going the same route or he may carry me to cover some distance.. He told me his heading to Apapa area but he will drop me at Onikpan. I agreed nodding my head and we kept going..I remember telling him to drive gently and cautiously because his wearing an helmet and he provided none for me. Then we encountered a steady moving traffic approaching Obanikoro area. All of a sudden on the 2lane road inside the slow moving traffic I saw a byke Ahead of Us Making a Quick distress U turn back towards US against flow of traffic Given us some hand signs that we couldn't decipher before he found a space in between concreate wall separating BRT lane from the expressway that he linked the Brt... My bike man also observing and quite clueless on what could have informed the other guys decision to do a quick turn at that narrow expressway, Paused for a While then started Moving. Then Alas, we saw the reason the guy turned around, before us were three guys Armed with Matches and Big stick, smashing Car window and shouting "Bring the Money" in an "Amugbo's Voice (only lagosians understands this kind of voice).. they were like 2metres away from us as I can see all their activities and actions moving from one vehicle to the other. At this time the byke man stopped and for once I thought of jumping off to run incase they focus on us because I was carrying a bag and I also had some good money with me. But somehow I wasn't scared because they were not with a gun. So I still sat on the byke just watching them while they gallantly manned the road with their matches and on the pedestrian pavement their 2 packed motorcycle... Within some seconds the 3 of them now focused on one particular car leaving the the right lane free so my byke man summoned all the courage to speedily ride through..... Not more than 10 metres away I saw those street hawkers hawking their various commodity and I was like in my mind they will think it's this guys that robs motorist on highways. My heart to our "photoshoot" Governor. Our designer watch Governor, it wasn't as bad as this during fashola's tenure. Do something about this... |

Not the general email oo but their specific staff mail. . saliu@sgkglobal.com...... his actually incharge of shipping, he recieves the goods and sends the WR number.. if you check you online invoice you willl always see his name there.. |
princemiah:This guys are unrepentant robbers period!!!!!! use them waste you time.......i heard they've changed name again...... |
legalwealth:bros whats my own.....have only made my own honest review. if you've got issue with sgk pls speak out thats why the internet is there for us just as am speaking out about my experience with shippyme.com. But Can you bodly say u prefer shippyme to sgk? never Concerning your perfume well may be you need to go to their lagos office and meet with their lady manager am not their spokes person. I know they dont consolidate they just ship out immediately every saturday. so all order that stays till saturday gets shipped to lagos, they dont store or consolidate order, that seems to be their weak point. So ensure you buy and ship at once or be ready to collect you orders one after the other as it comes in and its more expensive that way but be sure your goods will arrive.. After my last post here have shipped with them and receive my others like five times. |
