i wasnt referring doctors wt university grades but the intellectual gap btw Persons relevant to the subject matter.
to me,if all tinz being equal,an overtime lower credit student is no match 4 distinction unless some exceptional factor which is secretly conserved but not exhibited.
i'm not identifying a lower credit student as one who has the potential of a distinction but not exhibiting such intellectuals due to several factors frm peer group,family problems,temporary health issues,pride,sudden laziness,etc but i'm identifying a lower credit student has some1 who has been tasted overtime as a lower student due to weak academic foundation.

Quite agree with u some people are Average Student Which sometime may be because of the teaching style we have adopted. Its not everybody that can function at their best with out present kind of teaching style thats why "C" is still recognized as the average as for student to pass.

As a Distinction Student, 2things has help you so far apart from God's Grace, and they are "Understanding" and "Retentive Memory..". Now if you see, this 2 things are not completely teachable but it in everyone of us at different measures. Some have it in Good measures some have it in small measures, some need to develop it why some are born with it in excess. If a Mechanic who has an SSCE certificate and also is blessed with Quick Understanding and Retentive Memory and is given an 8months training according to d whole syllabus of what u did in all of ur 2yrs ND days
I tell u he may likely make a first class with this our current Education system. Aby na Lie..... Once you can Understand Quickly and Remember formula and definition easily(retentive memory),bros u don pass.. I use to knw a girl, I no wan know as the formular take long reach or the diagram be she has this strong pictoria memory. She easily remembers formular and diagrams.. I was watching a documentary like that also on one of this cable channels, I think its Discovery channel whr a little boy hard an head accident and that made a part of his brain that control memory release an excess chemical in its formation making the small boy able to commit Large information into memory and give it out offhand without errors. The guy is 15 now. He is always at the Top of the Class in his College. That Guy can read the whole of a Bible once he finish reading and commits it to memory he will begin to Give u the word off hand Word-for-word accurately without looking at the bible again. I watched it Live, you can search google for it. The researcher tested his memory in different ways. They took him under a tree that sheds leaves, told him to look at all the leaves on the ground for 10mins after that they swept the leaves, gave him to put the leaves at the right position whr they were. The guy did it exactly without errors. They took him to a different country and tutored him on all of the words in dutch language and how to use sentences within one week he was speaking dutch fluently. I watched it live this is not hear say. U can google . Have forgotten the name of that kind of Illness or na infection make I call aby disease. Oooh yess I remember, the Name of the Medical Disorder is Called (savant synopsis or Autism). To me that wan na better infection o. And another thing is that the guy reads faster than an an average person and as his reading he is committing to memory, he has read and committed to memory 6000 books( that means he can say Word-for-word from 1st chapter to the last Line by Line what is written in all those books). Jexux! Imagine that can guy for nigeria sch? If I hear say Distinction nor sure for ram.
If Na me na to just cram all the whole text buk from 100L to 400L then comot for sch go they flex, enter sch period of exam, when pple go they Jack me I go they Flex. Infact I go they disturb them self..

So what am trying to say is that ur Distinction is a function of Understanding and Retentive Memory which is in different measures. Some ppls hav it in good measures why someothers have it in what I will call "Average Measures". And in some ppl sometimes its need to be developed while some its already developed. So different strokes for different folks brother..





But Danky am not in anyway against Distinction or First class at all. Infact, My own eyes is at it. Whether Uniben or Unaab first class is the Goal. Thats one of the reason am considering Unaab seriously. There turnout of First Class student is more than that of Uniben::

Okay point of correction, Doctors aren't graded with the 2.1 or 2.2 thing. There is nothing like 2.1 or 2.2 in MBBS, its either u pass or Not. As an Mbbs Holder you aren't issues that certificate as a doctor if yhu don't pass a general bench mark which might not show on ur certificate.

Once you are through with secondary sch then you have had the basics, if yhu 've been able to get those 5courses credit as required then u've had d basics..

The only difference between a distinction n a lower student na say the former was more serious in terms of sch tins why the later took things less serious, in a complacent manner. And now the question is, having known u came out with a lower grade in the poly to the university, then that will even make u More serious not to fall into such Lower grade ditch again. I no of person who had to leave LASU for unilag when he noticed his Grade is diving towards the lower path, nw d guy they use 2eye watch him GP. Now for that kind person, assume he went to a poly coming out with lower after 2yrs wld u tell me that he would not add more seriousness and tenacity to making sure he graduates Top of the Class? Sure his gonna do that. There is even a tendency for a Distinction student to wanna take things easy feeling like a know all after being admitted into 200L to be complacent and as such fall short..

Do u know some 2ndclass student flaws distinction students most times during a "Test" Interviews. Reason being that they already knw their Grade could be as a disadvantage to dem so they will read their live, prepare ahead so as to cover for the lapses of their Grade with Scoring High in the Text to be conducted so they don't lose out. Like one of my friends will say "some 2.2 candidate they hot for test interview nowadays oo, them go tell u say nor use 2.2 eyes look them o, say e just be say them go play for sch, so now they don realise say they don fuckup and as such looking for everymeans to prove a point"

Its a known fact that in the first year in a Uni, everybody will be serious, jacking their lives out, scoring the A's n d B's after the first to the second year the numbers of student scoring d A's n B's begins to depreciate and the major reason attached to ds are many including Complacency frm the student, not taking things serious. Let me end with this it doesn't matter weather ya ya a distinction student or Not what really matters is that wld u Maintain ur Velocity and if u will that doesn't stop a 2nd Class student from starting from d Initials and keep increasing in Momentum and maintaining Velocity (remembering my physics days )

wht use calculating when admission "may" not b sure cos funaab chooses to admit lower credit fsp students instead of distinction student,thereby producing half-baked & inefficient graduates

Point of correction Mr Dan... That they have admitted FSP and Lower credit student doesn't mean they will produce half baked n inefficient graduates. that's why its called a sch, its a place whr both the low credit n distinction students are meant to be trained to a world class level.. Once u guys are all admitted to the same 2ooL then its an equal pedestrian for whoever to prove himself for the next 3yrs afresh..... So don't be surprised FSP may just pick up along the line to become top of the class.

Like seriously, when will Nigeria be better as a people.. Corruption has so eaten deep into our system its even worst because the pple are now corrupt... Was in a Meeting Today and someone was sharing how he Lost a Contract all because he trying to be Holy, he was bidding for a contract at the State house so he sent in a proposal, the cost of the project was around 25Million, so the people working in d administration unit of the the state house told him his proposal has been approved but they have jacked up the amount in the Proposal to be 80million and it has been approved but he will need to sign for the 80million but they will give him his required 25million. The guy said no, he is not gonna sign for 80million which he didn't ask for. That's how he lost that contract...(He ended his talk saying, do u know that another company was given that contract and they must av also compromised).

Another Real life experience, a project was to be carried out at NDDC which worths N22Billion, the contract was awarded to a company but the people giving the contract told the contractors that they will give them 250million just to walk away(without them doing anything on the project) but they should right a report of completion of the Job and how its break down cost to the sum of N22B but in the real sense nothing was been done, they had been offered 250Million to walk away and only produce unreal report.

And I was thinking if I was in that guy shoes in the 2 scenarios won't I do the same? Its a question I asked my self (na only me no my answer nor ask me )

That's why u will see so many abandoned project with contractors fleeing..

I personally has been involved in the given end of this guys at the state house, my colleague and I was trying to get a particular license for something, it wasn't fun at all. Then one of the officials just called us to one side and said bros, if u want this thing done very fast instead of paying to the Govt account and bringing us Bank Tellers Give us the cash equivalent.. Bros this was coming from a top official me too I shock, I had no choice but to do as he said and that was it, it was approved very fast. But if u follow normal way 3months nothing is approved. The redundancy in the Civil service is just too much, they nor they do anything except few of them, and they don't joke wit their closing time o. I don't knw if u have had an opportunity to deal with govt workers, u will hate them. They can be so sluggish, act in an unprofessional manner, infact I entered into an office of one of this Lagos state Agency which I will not mention the name, as I knocked Ones then Opened the Handle of the Door to my surprise I saw 2 old men(atleast dey shld be in their 60's) upstanding and fighting boxing Jokingly, as I entered they were shocked and redressed. And dis hapenned during working hour oo. Na egunje(but if na for bribery them nor they dull)

Now my main point is corruption has eaten deep into the system to the grassroot and I just don't know how it can be reversed!

Now with this real life scenarios do u think there is a future in this country.. Yes there is, we all will say, before nkor won't u have hope ny.. But sometimes somethings shrinks hope.... Who amongs us here never Giraffed or carried expo(a.k.a masquerade, aka dnt stress d brain)during exams in our secondary days Should please raise up his or her Hand. .

I remember my days in oo, I had some seat partners that where expo and giraffing lords. Their middle name na Gbeshehwole(carrywork enter).. I had them in different categories, there are some that are good in stretching their neck to copy the answers of another student four rows away from ours seats. How he does it nobody knows but that guy can copy anything without editing or using his own terms . I also have another seat mate, the guy will copy u from the beginning to the end and score more than u , we go they wonder whether na witch him they use aby na jazz. Until we discovered he had the most neatest handwriting, and he copies ur work systematical so that if at anypoint u make a mistake and cancel any part of ur writings his always lucky not to have written it yet. That guy eerh, very badt boi..

Some of my unforgettable experience, was a particular day like that, we were to right a test or an exam, everyone of us hated our chemistry teacher because she doesn't teach well
she go just come class find an excuse to give everybody punishment, and her punishment is jst too bad, if she's decides to be mean she would ask us to right in a 60leaves book using blue, black and red biro to right "I will not do so so so and so again". So u will right those words repeatedly using those different biros according to each line till u finish the 60leaves. That means first line, blue biro, second line - red biro, third line black biro, repeatedly till a whole 60leaves finish withing 2days.. So we all disliked her.. If she wants to be wicked she will ask u to come kneel down in the teachers staff room where different teacher go come in see u they kneel down without question them go give u cain as testing for back, another one go come in once they see u kneeling down and raising ur hands up the next tin u go hear na "stubborn student, u cannot come and kill us here why ur parents are sleeping at home, next tin na cain for ur back . Nobody wishes to go and kneel down in Staff room. Though we students too were so stubborn that our teachers they always get PANADOL for their Tables .....

So on this faithful day, we were to write an exam and as the tradition is once its exam time all ur bags and everything must be put away from you to the front of the class.. So we all settle down ready to write the exam, the teachers went round making sure no one had any bag or anything that could implicate them. So we commenced writing, within few minutes an an external aby na Inspector came in with a loud voice and said "If u know u have anything on u that could implicate, this is ur last chance to bring it out, hmmm the class just gentle, silence was everywhr. The man repeated himself, "if you have anything with u that could implicate u bring it out now before we start searching u individually and If you are caught u will be expelled from this sch.. Mehn see as bois n girl just start to they throw smal small sheet of paper and keypoints those small portable keypoint. After that there was calm, everyone settle then the Man came in Again and said "this is ur Last chance to drop whatever could Implicate u " all of a Sudden we just heard something being thrown from the backseat And it Landed in the Front with a Loud Noise (Gboaaaaaarh) like a bomb and to our surprised someone had Just thrown "Ababio" (the Biggest Text Book in the whole of SS3 science class ). We all Busted into Laughter as the Textbook was thrown to d front, as big as it is, someone had the guts to bring it in.
