Sports › Gabriel Jesus comes Into The European Squad In Place Of Kelechi Iheanacho. by playboy99(op): 7:21pm On Feb 02, 2017
Recent signing Jesus, who scored his first league goal since his move from Palmeiras in the West Ham win, comes into the European squad in place of Kelechi Iheanacho.

“I’m very happy for the goal, very happy for the performance and especially for the win,” Jesus told City TV.

“This is the spirit I think we have to have and if we keep that spirit we will be able to achieve our goals.

“The reception from the club has been great, my team-mates are helping a lot and the process of adaptation is going great.

“I honestly thought it would be more difficult but thanks to my family, my friends and my team-mates it’s going really well.”

Having now been registered at the club for two years, Iheanacho can be removed from the main squad quota but remain eligible as a player named on the “B” list.

City face Monaco in the Champions League last 16 as they aim to win the competition for the first time.
Sports › What Next For Kelechi Iheanacho At Manchester City? by playboy99(op): 7:10pm On Jan 28, 2017
The youngster scored a fine hat-trick in the FA Cup fourth round last season but is getting fewer and fewer chances to show what he can do
COMMENT
Almost exactly a year ago Kelechi Iheanacho stood in the interview area at Villa Park after scoring an FA Cup hat-trick which, it was hoped, would catapult him into the Manchester City limelight.
The quiet Nigerian says little at the best of times and on the day of his finest moment as a professional he batted away questions about his rise with an incredible humility that, while admirable, did not make for great newspaper copy. It had been let on, in an attempt to provoke some excitement, that the City squad greeted Iheanacho in the dressing room by dancing around and singing his name.
Iheanacho loan move ruled out
That ploy did not work either and in a desperate bid to coax something interesting out of the nervous youngster, one enterprising reporter dragged up an old picture, taken at an international youth tournament, which showed him looking skinny and rangy. It was pointed out that a lot had changed in a short space of time, both in terms of his stature and his career prospects.
Iheanacho, far from shocked at routine physical changes to the human body during adolescence, thanked hard work for his development and went on his way.
Just showed Kelechi the pic of him from a few years ago. He smiled at the difference, praised hard work #mcfc

@Sammy_Goal
Now, a year down the line, a lot has changed again.
City fans had known they have a real talent on their hands for a couple of years by the time he scored that hat-trick, but the boy from Imo had gone under the radar of the wider audience. Now, 12 trying months on, he’s in danger of falling off Pep Guardiola’s, too.
Kompany 'fit and ready' for Palace
Whereas he would generally get his opportunities in the absence of Sergio Aguero under Manuel Pellegrini last season, Iheanacho has found it hard to get a look-in for Guardiola recently, even when Aguero is out of the picture.
Iheanacho weighed in with two goals in two games when the Argentine served his first suspension of the season in September, including a strike at Old Trafford, but hardly got a sniff over Christmas.
With the main man banned for four games, Iheanacho started in the dire performance at Leicester City but was barely used again until Hull City on Boxing Day, when he came off the bench and showed that knack for being in the right place at the right time to score City’s second.
Even if he has found it difficult to get on the pitch for much of the season, he had at least always been on the bench. That changed last weekend when Gabriel Jesus was thrown straight into the squad against Tottenham, at Iheanacho’s expense.
Guardiola has spent half his time at City urging Aguero to play “much, much better”, to do a lot more outside the area, so it is only natural Iheanacho, still just 20 and essentially a penalty-box striker, is not yet up to the boss’ high standards.
'Iheanacho isn't the same player'
His poacher's instinct, which has earned him the best goals-per-minute ratio in Premier League history no less, may not be enough.
And with Jesus now on the scene there will surely be fewer opportunities for him to prove his worth.
There is a recognition at City that Jesus, similar to Iheanacho, does his best work inside the penalty area, and that he must be given time to improve his link-up play. But the Brazilian is possessed of a work ethic and fighter's instinct which is hoped will give Aguero the proverbial kick up the back-side, and his all-round game, while still in need of fine-tuning, is better than Iheanacho’s.
Guardiola says all three of his strikers “sense” goals, that they all have the scoring knack, but he put in a decisive phone call to Jesus last summer because he believes he can help the 19-year-old develop into an all-rounder. There is some doubt whether he can do the same with Aguero, and maybe, on the evidence of the past few months, Iheanacho.
The Nigerian’s father ruled out the possibility of a loan move earlier this week but Guardiola, speaking on Friday, gave the impression he was finding it hard to fit all his strikers into the team.
PLAY
“Of course we evaluate how they do in the games and the training sessions,” the Catalan said when asked about keeping the likes of Iheanacho and Nolito happy. “At the end I try to be fair based on what I have seen in their performances.
“Of course I have to evaluate it based on what I see on the grass.”
Iheanacho has best record in PL history
An FA Cup fourth round tie against a team set to make wholesale changes would normally present an ideal opportunity to showcase burgeoning talent, but Iheanacho looks set to miss out when City face Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Instead, it will most likely be Gabriel Jesus who gets the chance to show off his talents as he tries to make his own way at City.
It should not be forgotten that Iheanacho himself is just 20 years old and it would be a great shame to see his talent, which has come to be underestimated by some in recent months, go to waste. The idea of a loan move seems a knee-jerk reaction but, should he struggle for opportunities in the coming months, a move away would allow him to continue his development into a fine player.
Having seemingly made a major breakthrough one year ago, he now appears no better off for it. Who knows where he could be this time next year.

Sports › Kenichi Explains Why He Left Ifeanyi Ubah by playboy99(op): 9:40am On Dec 15, 2016
Exclusive: The Japanese manager parted ways with the Anambra Warriors on Monday and claims the interference at the club is too much than what he experienced in Ghana
Kenichi Yatsuhashi has expressed his dissatisfaction about treatment merited to him after canceling his contract with Nigeria Professional Football League side FC Ifeanyi Ubah just one month in charge. The 47-year-old joined the club alongside Yaw Preko, his former assistant coach at Hearts of Oak , but claims the experience there was unprecedented.
The Japanese took charge in only two pre-season games but fell out with the club's top hierarchy. He claims they wanted to interfere with player selections and also painted him bad to the media because of his firm stance against any interference.
"There are several negative reports out there in Nigeria about me since I joined FC Ifeanyi Ubah and I need to respond to them. When I joined the club there were massive interferences by the management with regards to player selections which brought about disagreements at meetings and I was almost hit by one of the people around who claimed to be a former player of Parma," Kenichi told Goal from his base in Japan.
"I still chose to resist some directives like training twice a day because we only had two weeks to prepare and it resulted into different issues. The players would've broken down if I had complied.
"Salaries were cut off, promises made to me and the team were never delivered. Also there were lies through the local media and few of the fans that I'm very bad and rude because I objected their autocratic ways. Chukwuma D. Ubah, chairman of the club verbally asked me to leave after our second match in the 2016 NPFL Super 4 tournament, and I agreed to leave. He thought I would resist and probably beg to stay but that is not me. Honestly, these people are worse than Hearts of Oak.
"According to Chukwuma, my contract had not started yet because it was stipulated that it will begin when the league kicks off and my future will then be decided on the performance of the club. I did not utter anything to him, but even with this, they refused to buy me a ticket back to Japan until I threatened to send them to Fifa for damages," he added.
Kenichi further explained that his players could not perform well in the Super 4 because they were tired since they had few days to rest before the tournament began.
"The players were tired during the NPFL Super 4 because they were not given any time off after the last match of the last season, and we did training twice a day during the pre-season for two weeks. This made it difficult for us to win the tournament although it was our target from the start.
The former Aspire Academy coach also rejected suggestions that the players were complaining about his training methods and poor game plan and insists they were all fabricated.
"It was reported by some media outlets that the players complained that my training style was too physical and my tactics were poor but that wasn't the issue. Rather, that was what the management wanted the supporters to believe and gave such news to some people. In fact, the key players who were with the club last season told me that they believe they will stand a better chance to win the league and Confederation Cup since fitness is very key. I encountered same at Hearts but after five matches, we were at the top of the log and the same people started praising me."
Goal understands that Ghanaian clubs Tema Youth and Hearts are planning to bring the Japanese back to Ghana ahead of the 2017 season, which is expected to kick off in February.

Health › Health Benefits Of Lime by playboy99(op): 7:51pm On Nov 24, 2016
The health benefits of lime include weight loss, skin care, improved digestion, relief from constipation , eye care, and treatment of scurvy, piles, peptic ulcer,
respiratory disorders, gout, gums, urinary disorders, etc.
The first fruit that comes to mind in terms of medicinal uses is the reliable lime. This sour citrus fruit can do what many advanced medicines cannot. Lime, bearing the scientific name Citrus Aurantifolia, has been used for ages in the treatment of various ailments.
Lime is consumed throughout the world in the form of sorbet, beverages, refreshing cocktails, pickles, jams, jellies, snacks, candies, sugar boiled confections and in cooking. The oil extracted from its peel or skin is extensively used in soft drink concentrates, body oils, cosmetic products, hair oils, toothpastes, toilet and beauty soaps, disinfectants, mouth washes, deodorants and innumerable other products. There are many varieties of lime found all over the world, particularly in the tropical and the Mediterranean climates.
Health Benefits Of Lime
Let’s take a look at the benefits and medicinal uses of lime.

Scurvy: Lime is very well-known as a cure for scurvy, the disease which is caused from a deficiency of
vitamin-C . It is characterized by frequent infections that show as normal cold symptoms, cracked lips and lip corners, ulcers on the tongue and in the mouth. You can also spot scurvy from spongy, swollen and
bleeding gums . Since its cause is a deficiency of
vitamin-C, its remedy is none other than vitamin-C, and lime is full of this this essential vitamin.
In the past, soldiers and sailors were given lime to keep them safe from scurvy , which was a horrible and potentially fatal disease back then. Even now, it is distributed among the workers working in polluted environments like furnaces, painting shops, heat treatments, cement factories, mines, and other dangerous work environments to protect them from scurvy.

Skin Care: Lime juice and its natural oils are very beneficial for skin when consumed orally or applied externally. It rejuvenates the skin, keeps it shining, protects it from infections and reduces body odor due to the presence of a large amount of vitamin-C and Flavonoids. Those are both class-1 anti oxidants, and have antibiotic and disinfectant properties. When applied externally on skin, its acids scrub out the dead cells, cures dandruff, rashes, and bruises . It can also be used to create a refreshing bathing experience if its juice or oil is mixed into your bathing water.

Digestion: Lime has an irresistible scent which causes your mouth to water and this actually aids primary digestion (the digestive saliva floods your mouth even before you taste it). The natural acidity in lime does the rest. While they break down of the macro molecules of the food, the Flavonoids, the compounds found in the fragrant oils extracted from lime, stimulate the digestive system and increase secretion of digestive juices, bile and acids. This flood of flavonoids also stimulate the peristaltic motion. This is the reason behind lemon pickle with lunch and dinner being a traditional practice in India and various neighboring countries in that region.

Constipation: Primarily, the ample amount of acids present in lime helps clear the excretory system by washing and cleaning off the tracts, just as some acids are used to clean floors and toilets. The roughage in lime is also helpful in easing constipation, but the most beneficial element is the high acidity. An overdose of lime juice with salt also acts as an excellent purgative without any side effects, thereby providing relief from constipation.

Diabetes: According to the American Diabetes Association, limes and other citrus fruits are considered a diabetes super food for a number of reasons. Mainly, the high levels of soluble fiber found in limes make it an ideal dietary aid to help regulate the body’s absorption of sugar into the bloodstream, reducing the occurrence of blood sugar spikes that are a serious risk to to diabetic patients. Also, limes and other citrus fruits have a low glycemic index, which means that they will not cause unexpected spikes in glucose levels, in addition to the benefits of soluble fiber’s effect.

Heart Disease: That same soluble fiber which can help
diabetics maintain their blood sugar levels can also lower blood pressure and eliminate the presence of LDL cholesterol (“bad” cholesterol). Furthermore, soluble fiber can cut down on inflammation of the blood vessels, which is a known preventative measure against heart disease , heart attacks, and strokes.

Peptic Ulcer: In addition to vitamin-C, lime contains special compounds called Flavonoids (Limonoids such as Limonin Glucoside) which have antioxidant, anti-carcinogenic, antibiotic and detoxifying properties that stimulate the healing process of peptic and oral ulcers.

Respiratory Disorders: The flavonoid-rich oil that is extracted from limes is extensively used in anti-congestive medicines such as balms, vaporizers, and inhalers due to the presence of Kaempferol. Just scratching the peel of a lime and inhaling it gives immediate relief for congestion and nausea.
Arthritis: One of the many causes of arthritis is an excess of uric acid that builds up in the body. Uric acid is one of the waste products that normal urination will clear out of the body, but unfortunately, when too much builds up, it can make the pain and inflammation from arthritis even worse. The citric acid found in citrus fruits like limes is a solvent in which uric acid can dissolve, increasing the amounts that are eliminated in the urine. Citrus fruits in general have anti-inflammatory properties, and can be used for a number of inflammation issues.
Eye Care: Vitamin-C again! Its anti oxidant properties protect eyes from aging and macular degeneration. On top of that, flavonoids help protect them from infections.

Fever : If someone is suffering from a fever, limes and lime juice can be of great importance. Citrus fruits in general have fever-reducing qualities, and if the fever is very high, the patient’s diet should be restricted to lemon juice and water. However, if the fever is mild to moderate, other fruit juices, particularly citrus juices like lime juice, can be administered in order to bring the fever back a manageable level. Vitamin-C, found in high concentrations in citrus fruits, naturally
lowers the temperature of the body.
Gout: There are two main causes of gout. The first source is the accumulation of free radicals in the body, and the second is accumulation of toxins in the body, primarily uric acid. Limes can help prevent both of these causes. It is a wonderful source of antioxidants & detoxifiers (vitamin-C & Flavonoids) which reduce the number of free radicals as well as detoxifying the body.

Gums: The root cause of gum problems is a deficiency of vitamin-C (Scurvy, which gives bleeding and spongy gums) and microbial growth. Sometimes, the ulcers come from physical trauma. In all of these situations, limes can help. Its vitamin-C cures scurvy, Flavonoids inhibit microbial growth and potassium and Flavonoids help heal ulcers and wounds.
Piles: Since lime helps heal ulcers and wounds in the digestive system and excretory system while providing relief from constipation, it eradicates all the root causes of piles. Piles are a different term for hemorrhoids, an uncomfortable condition that occurs in the anal region and can result in bleeding and discomfort both during excretion and general activity. It can also lead to certain forms of cancer , and limes can help prevent their formation or recurrence.

Cholera: Although it has disappeared in many parts of the world, cholera is still a dangerous and deadly disease in some places on the planet, and luckily, limes and other citrus fruits can help defend against this often fatal condition. The lime juice, when added to potentially infected water, proved to be a very effective disinfectant, and even when it was consumed regularly after someone had been exposed to cholera-infected water, fatalities were reduced. Numerous studies were done on this application of lime juice, particularly following the horrible outbreak of cholera in Guinea-Bissau in 1994.

Weight Loss: A glass of warm water with a full lime’s worth of juice in it is an excellent weight reducer as well as a brilliant refresher and antioxidant drink. The citric acid present in lime is an excellent fat burner. You can consume two glasses a day and see legitimate and remarkable results within a week.
Urinary Disorders: The high potassium content of limes is very effective in removal of the toxic substances and the precipitates which get deposited in kidneys and the urinary bladder. The disinfectant properties of limes also help cure infections in the urinary system. Furthermore, it stops prostrate growth (very common in males above 40) and clears blockage of urine that can come from calcium deposits in the urinary tract.
Other Benefits: It is a good appetizer and digestive. It can help to cure rheumatism, prostate and colon cancer , cholera, arteriosclerosis, fatigue and even high fevers (contrary to popular belief). The best part of it is that it has no negative side effects!

Sports › Iheanacho’s Chances At City Slim, Says Guardiola by playboy99(op): 9:15am On Nov 24, 2016
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has stated that young striker Kelechi Iheancho must have to make improvements to get a slot in his team.
This is just as Barcelona and Tottenham are said to be monitoring the situation with a view of making a move for the Super Eagles striker. He has started only three Premier League games
under Guardiola. With £27m Brazilian international Gabriel Jesus set to arrive in January, his opportunities will be limited further.
Leading scorer Sergio Aguero is at the top of the pecking order, with Guardiola preferring to play with a lone striker.
When asked what would have to happen to get the 20-year-old more first team opportunities, Guardiola said: “Change the coach maybe!
“Of course he deserves to play, but there are many, many others who deserve to play too.
File: Iheanacho scores against Crystal Place
“Our job is so uncomfortable for these kind of decisions.
“Normally when these guys don’t train good, when they are not nice guys with his team-mates, it doesn’t matter, but that is not the case with Kele.
“My advice is keep going, keep fighting, sooner or later everything is coming back, and of course he’s going to have his minutes,” he said.
“Until now he played good, but in the big teams sometimes that happens. You can play just 11 players and that’s all.”
Barcelona scouts are on the look out for Iheanacho. There is also an interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
