Basicly, u can have M.Phil, M.Phil Ph.D or Ph.D grade. They are all masters grades but the latest two grades means u can proceed to doctorate philosophy but with just MPhil, u cant do PhD, u av to do another masters. If the grade is MPhil PhD, as for UI u just need to spend an extra year, write an exam and thereafter proceed for ur Ph.D. In UI PG grade system, 4.5 - 4.99 is the MPhil PhD grade while 5.0 and above is the PhD grade, anything below the 4.5 CGPA is no proceed. With little effort, its achievable, just strive harder and make the best out of the MSc. Best wishes....... |

Prof Andy is an epitome of knowledge, he decided to open our eyes to what many had not paid attention to but ney, we are getting it twisted. Ronaldo is d symbol of hope for the common man, the average man, ths ambitious man who believes he can get it done with persistency, hardwork and dedication while Messi symbolises evrything close to perfection which is rare, scarce and should be adored. If we agree on this, i think CR7 is better appreciated and giving credence as HOPE is what define us. Im a berca fan though. |

Just get the approriate office awared that u cant stand to be tossed like coin, u stick to ur guns and let d new sets be awarded the new format. Sis, dont front the struggle. Honestly, it is a pathetic situation.
Pls answer this qs , what were u guys admitted for, what were ur predecessors awarded? When these qs are clearly catered for, we may have a headway. But for me, i think its better u request to stick to what was on ground initially, i mean, if u were expected to graduate with B.Sc.(EMT). This would make sense but just experimenting with ur set may not be palatable. A question that need to be answered is if the University senate is aware and had delibrated, accepted and passed the bill on the new degree. If it had been passed, it is not mandatory on ur set to accept except otherwise u want, it will only take effect from the new entry while d decision is taken. My brother, just relax and channel ur complaint to the appropraite quarters as im sure, the University wont act stupid to jeopardise una lifes. And pls, be wise as u do. I opine u stick to the old degree award BSc.EMT rather than create unneccessary confusion. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Messi Vs C. Ronaldo Vs The Statics (NUMBERS DON'T LIE by plenty9316(m): 5:54pm On Apr 26, 2017 |
ponti93: MESSI, RONALDO AND THE NUMBERS
BY JJ Agada Aguzie
(NB: Amidst the abundance and dominance of arguments and debates on which of them truly rules today's football, I present the statistical numbers of both of them as they stand today, so that the facts can separate the speculations)
I'll try to keep this as short as possible. First of all, I want to say that I respect the duo of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. They have been two football legends of our time and this era, and have dominated football in the past ten years, sharing the World Footballer of The Year glory amongst themselves. Messi has five already safely tucked away in his trophy cabinet, and Ronaldo should be hoping to equal that at the turn of 2017, except if things change and Barcelona finds a way to still salvage their season, while Real Madrid capitulates. But this may be unlikely, and the status quo may yet remain. These two have also smashed and broken every available and recorded football statistic. They have both ruled and dominated, and continue to rule even till presently. I mentioned their clubs (Real Madrid and Barcelona) because both of them have failed to reach their normal exalted standards so far this season. Arguments exist to say that both of them are beginning to approach the twilight of their glittering and glamorous careers. Again, so far, Messi has scored 47 goals and laid on 14 assists from 46 appearances this campaign whereas Ronaldo has 31 goals and 12 assists from 39 appearances.
Into the bargain, despite all the comparison and argument, both stars are not mates really. To start with, Ronaldo is already 32 years old, whereas Messi is still 29 and will only turn 30 in June. The preceding fact here is that being naturally older than Messi with at least two years, Ronaldo has already played more games (and should have more goals too). Talking numbers, Ronaldo has made a total of 848 appearances for club and country and has scored a total of 589 goals and also made 195 assists. Legendary stuff. Messi on his part, has made a total of 694 appearances for club and country and has scored a total of 558 goals and made 229 assists. Legendary stuff too. I'd proceed to further simplify these numbers.
Talking about all time appearances, C. Ronaldo has made 154 appearances more than L. Messi and has scored only 31 more goals. And Messi, despite playing 154 less games than Ronaldo, has made 34 more assists than him.
Talking all time club records, Ronaldo has made 710 appearances, scoring 518 times with 172 assists. Messi on his part, has made 577 club appearances, scoring 500 goals, and making 192 assists. So, in 133 more games at club level, Ronaldo has scored only 18 more goals than Messi and despite 133 games less, Messi has 20 more club assists.
Talking league football, Ronaldo who has made 482 appearances and scored 366 times with 121 assists has 23 more goals in 105 more games but Messi at 343 goals scored from 377 appearances, has 134 assists which is 13 more in 105 games less.
In Europe, Ronaldo has 101 goals and 37 assists from 143 appearances and Messi has 94 goals and 25 assists from 115 appearances. In 28 more games than Messi, Ronaldo has only 7 more goals and 12 more assists.
In other competitions including domestic cups and others, both Ronaldo and Messi have made 85 appearances each. And in this cadre where they have played the same number of games, Messi has 12 more goals and 19 more assists. He has 63 goals and 33 assists, and Ronaldo has 51 goals and 14 assists.
The last category is not the least. The National Teams. For Portugal, Ronaldo has 138 caps from where he has made 23 assists and scored 71 goals. Messi on his part, has made 37 assists and scored 58 goals from 117 caps for Argentina. So, in 21 more games, Ronaldo has 13 more goals and Messi has 14 more assists regardless.
These are the numbers separating the two. They are as clear as crystal and as open as daylight for anyone. Statistics don't lie. I don't need to tell you who has done more both in goals ratio and assists too. Ronaldo is compared to Messi. Messi should be compared to who really?
You have your answers friends! You have them!! Your answers!!! even Messi haters know that he is better to CR7. Its just d bitter truth. |

Toyin001: Plenty9316, you've made your point but JAMB simply needs to explain the reason for the delay period. My assertions are also clear enough, you wouldn't bet to argue that the system grades and assesses the scores real-time What then is the use of the nine hours delay JAMB really need to clear the populace on this.
Cc: Fynestboi, oluwalebabs, Richiez I agree with you, JAMB can always do that to clear our doubts ko? |
Education › Re: JAMB: Let's Face Reality by plenty9316(m): 6:38pm On Apr 08, 2017 |
Toyin001: Had this is mind all along and seeing Nairaland as unarguably the biggest forum in Nigeria, I believe it should be a way where voices need to be heard and if possible, relayed to the appropriate channels and bodies.
Amidst the utter confusion of the examination body that have rabble-roused their prospective candidates for this year's examination, a promise of transformation and the tiredly-heard word in our nation, a "change" in the conduct of the examination; the said innovated pre-mock slated to be held today was postponed till further notice.
When the postponement isn't my major bone of contention as the point of discussion, it still stands as a prove of the utter confusion of the said transformed examination body.
LET'S FACE REALITY:
I came across a news not long that the results of prospective candidates for this year's edition of the examination [b]will be released in "just" nine hours of the students' submission of the candidate's answers.
Amidst other confusion of unnecessary new innovations of scrapping the use of the mouse in answering the questions, let's face this salient truth.
We are all aware the exam is Computer-Based, why then are the results not released instantly after candidate's submission. We all are aware that the system has the ability of real-time and instant assessment of the students' answers submitted and the results calculated instantly.
Why then should the results be delayed for nine hours. Prospective candidates have been bamboozled and rabble-roused by the so-called promise of a quick release of the results hoping for a clean and transparent results.
Having been unable to get over the disappointment of utterly been awarded 57 in the Mathematics breakdown of my aggregate JAMB scores in the UTME examination conducted last year, it is obvious such disappointing norms is most likely to continue this year.
I sat for the Mathematics exam with high hopes and high believe in scoring an extremely high score but was left shattered scoring a ridiculous score as low as 57%. In honesty, even if I had written that exam when I was still in Senior Secondary School 2, I wouldn't have still scored 57. I can stand to face anyone, even the JAMB registrar that the mark given to me was no where near the score given to me, I worked for a 100% score and didn't fall short of it in attempting the exam. To cut you some stories, where I am driving at is very very short.
Despite having been admitted into my choice institution with my eventual result, I am still yet to get over the feeling of getting something that ridiculous in my Maths JAMB exam.
Where I was able to get admitted, the unfair reduction in candidates' results has led to complete disruption of the chance of admission of some students.
I have friends whose results was manipulated as low as an aggregate score of 143/400, another 176/400, to mention a few. These two brilliant and serious-minded students where blatantly denied admission by the exam body as they stood no chance to compete for admission at all as excellent as their 'O' Level results were.
With full knowledge that the conduct of the examination this year is under new administration, I believe the guarantee of a transparent release of candidates' results cannot be ascertained!
To face the plain truth and reality, the nine hours interval between the submission of answers and release of the results is nine hours of complete and total manipulation of the results of some candidates.
What use is the delay of the release of the candidates' result when the system is able to assess the results instantly
I believe the administration of this exam body need to come out and answer this question.
Enough of manipulations of the results of innocent and serious-minded students.
Thank you for reading. Sincerely, im not here to defend JAMB but i bet with u, the registrar in charge, i know him well during his reign at my alma mata. He is a die hard innovator. He loves or enjoy being part of new thing or better ways of doing thing and i bet u, he wont stop until he achieve his goal. My set was part of the trial set for the CBT things and i can tell u it wasnt a smooth ride. My bro., the first test i we did with the innovation was erratic to many of us as we didnt play to the rule. It was after the first failure that i personally did my findings and realised some hidden secrets of combuter based test.(its no longer secret, thats one of the essence of the mock i think). My bro., i honestly dont agree with ur assertions on the window period of delay before the release of the result. How many will dey manipulate and who are they targetting Lets just hope things are better for the registrar, im sure he will get it right. I so much believe in him. |
