Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state has said that the Buhari-led government is after his life. And that if anything happens to him, the government should be held responsible.

Speaking to newsmen at the Benue State Governor’s Lodge, Abuja on Monday January 28th. Governor Ortom said since his defection from APC to PDP in June 2018, the Federal government has been after his life.

“If I die today, the federal government should be held responsible,” he said.

Late US rapper, XXXTentacion’s family announces birth of his son named Gekyume Onfroy


Jenesis Sanchez, the girlfriend of late US rapper XXXTentacion, has given birth to a baby boy named Gekyume Onfroy.



According to a press statement released Saturday night, “we’re happy to confirm that Baby and Mother are healthy. Gekyume’s name is derived from a word X created prior to his passing, which means ‘a different state’ or ‘next’ universe of thought’.



The statement further said, ‘XXXTentacion specifically chose this name for his first born son; his family is honored to fulfill his wish and shower baby Gekyume with love.”

The late rapper was murdered outside a motorcycle dealership in Deerfield Beach, Florida in June 2018. Four men have been arrested and charged with first-degree murder with a firearm and armed robbery with a firearm.



Shortly after his death, it was revealed that XXXTentacion and Sanchez were expecting their first child together.

5 people die in fresh Lassa fever outbreak in Plateau State


Dr Kunden Deyin, the state health commissioner in Plateau says that there’s 17 confirmed cases of Lassa Fever with five persons killed in the state.



According to Deyin, 33 cases were taken to the laboratory for confirmation where 17 were confirmed to be cases of Lassa Fever. He said 13 persons on admission are responding to treatment, while others have been discharged.



He, however, could not ascertain the number of persons discharged. The commissioner said that 73 persons, who had primary and secondary contacts with the patients, were being monitored.

“The 73 persons are currently being monitored. We shall do that for 21 days because the incubation period is from six to 21 days. After the 21 days, those not affected by the disease will be discharged from the contact tracing list and certified free of Lassa Fever.”

He advised people with symptoms such as headache, body pain and general feeling of being unwell, to promptly report for checks, noting that prompt checks were key to reducing the mortality rates associated with the disease.

To better understand life after breakup. Researchers surveyed 5,705 people in nearly 100 countries about their breakups and experience of grief afterwards. The most common reason for breaking up was “lack of communication.” Women were more likely to initiate a breakup; those who were broken up with experienced more grief than initiators. Post-relationship grief was more severe emotionally (e.g., anxiety, depression) than physically (e.g., insomnia, weight change). Among those who were dumped, women reported slightly more emotional and physical consequences than men, although post-relationship grief was high for both men and women.
