Hey Kembee86

Sorry for not posting of late, it has been so hectic i have been at the hospital pretty much every day since our Son was born, for about 15hrs per day, we then moved from a studio to a 2 bed property on 25th November, so its been all go go go getting prepared for Jamal coming home smiley

Jamal is now 15 weeks old and still just over a week away from his due date

he is now 6lb 6oz, and he didn't need any surgery, his eyesight is also fine, he will be coming home soon although on oxygen but thankfully there is no long term issues, completely perfect, very surprised as he was born at 23+6 weeks gestation and birth weight was 1lb 3oz

im so proud of him and ive been expressing this whole time, which is so exhausting, as its not the same as breastfeeding.

here is some pics, from birth and him now, our gorgeous boy smiley

How is your baby boy doing now?

Hi Subomi2.

I think you can apply for a family visit visa. Between the time my husband moved to the uk (August 2015) and I joined him (last Wednesday) I applied for and was granted a visit visa and even a private medical treatment visa. I explained in my application for both that we intended to apply for spouse settlement visa but that we were waiting for my husband to fulfill the financial requirement. I proved that I would return to Lagos on those visas by showing my job in Lagos at the time.

Ps. Each visa was 6-months long. I stayed for 5 months on the medical one and had indicated in my application that I would do so. Prior to that, on the visit one, I stayed 3 months. I also had indicated that I would do so.

Appointment is usually within a few days of asking them. Sometimes you can get one the very next day. You get the certificate right then and there.

TunzAntman:
Quick question people. Has anyone done a TB test at the IOM recently?

How long did it take to get an appointment?
How much did it cost in naira?
How long did it take to get the certificate?

Oya help me answer o!

Hi subomi2. Welcome to this journey. I pray that it will be quick and successful.

Hubby's job: Do make sure that it is a PAYE job. It is a temporary job but he is a PAYE employee yes? As opposed to a sole trader? This was our situation. My husband got a temp job as well and we started counting (You need 6 monthly payslips). Just before the 6th month, we found out that being a sole trader, he needed to show an entire tax year or have earned 18,600 in the six months. It was going to take too long if we did it that way so he quit and got another job, this time as a full time PAYE employee. The NHS org sorts his taxes, yes? If so, then you are good to go. Is he being paid a fixed monthly salary or per hour? If per hour, make sure each month's salary is high enough to meet the requirement if multiplied by 12. Any month that goes below the requirement will disqualify you. Am I making sense? If not, I can explain in a different way.

Whatsapp call logs: We did the same thing. My husband used an app to harvest the call logs off his iPhone. You can google it in the meantime but if you give me a few hours, I have asked my husband to check his phone when he has a spare moment so he can tell me the name of the app.

subomi2:
Good afternoon good people. had to tell hubby to come and see where i am getting info from because he was initially biased that im scaring myself with the long list i am coming up with. congrats to all the successful applicants, i tap into it big time. 2000quid isnt something to not get right.

Please save a soul....I and kids back here since hubby relocated in October. He is British. Kids have also been given their British Passports in december. Hubby has a temp job with NHS which meets the requirement but he just started.

- Can we use his temporary job payslips when its time to apply or its got to be a permanent job
- How many months of payslips do we have to send with our application minimum, so atleast i can start counting down, that is if temporary job is allowed?
hubby did alot to settle fo rthis job as its away from his area of specialization but he wants to know if it will work for my application and if not so he can begin the search afresh.... pls advise.

We do not do phone calls. We do whatsapp calls and zillion whatsapp messages. we were both here in Nigeria and married with two kids for 5years before he relocated so our kids can go enjoy a better education as it is now becoming a big deal to afford good education here.

- will whatsapp calls be ok? if yes, how do we get the call log??
- i have been saving our chats as doc from month to month.... printing those out will that be fine? we chat alot and chat is very very long, atleast so far.

How much is priority application?

Im just trying to gather my facts right little by little, please help a sister, ladies and gentlemen. thank you in advance

Congratulations..............
NB: Lessons to NOTE - You paid attention to all the nitty gritty details + you eventually submitted a knock - out repackaged package + you knocked them out with weight of evidence + and finally a successful application.

Although, you were attempting to over - stretch your neck towards the end (understandably so).......... Now the UK hustle starts and your husband can eventually start bonding with his kids.......

Your tithe payment is 50% of 1st salary earned in £ (with exchange rate of £1 - N605 ( the ministry is growing).....

God bless you richly for your commitment to helping people and for your adeptness at reassuring, redirecting and encouraging. 50% ke? I will set up a direct debit for 70% as soon as I get there.

Hey guys,
I hope you all doing fine, today I got this:
UK Visas & Immigration has now assessed your UK visa application and made a decision. Your documents and

the decision will be sent back to either the UK Visa Application Centre where you applied, where we will

contact you by email over the next few days to collect them, or if you are using the courier return service, will

be sent directly back to the address you provided.

Please note that TLScontact does not know the outcome of the assessment and has played no role in the

decision-making process.

Kind regards,

TLScontact
UK VIsas & Immigration

Usually it takes 1 to two days for the passport to reach Beirut.i hope anyone have a clue if these emails can be detect the outcome.
Best regards,
Thanks

Sadly, no, you cannot detect anything from the emails. You will have to wait until you're called to pick up. It won't be long at all. From what I've seen, TLS Lagos often sends both emails on the same day. In fact when I received the email you copied above, at about 230pm today, I went straight to TLS without waiting for the collection email. And indeed my passport was there. I got the collection email at close to 4pm, when I was already at home with the passport and visa. You will soon have yours, don't worry.

Babyann2016, I will say definitely put all call logs, screenshots of video calls, emails , everything. My husband and I have two children and have been together in the uk and Lagos for more time than we have been apart but we put every scrap of everything we have ever sent to each other. I have not got a response yet but I can say from other people's successes that it is important you do oversabi. Sorry for this setback but it is just a setback. I pray you will get good news soon! All the best.

Darcy16, please what TLS centre did you go to? I am still waiting for TLS VI to email me and I am wondering why i haven't received anything (not even the status online has changed) on Friday when the documents were returned to my husband and ukvi confirmed that the decision had been made on Monday. Oladunni4real and Babyann2016, when you get your good news, please tell me what TLS centre (whether vi or ikeja or Abuja) you worked with. I am half hoping that vi is just slacking and that my passport is ready... I know I am being a little insane...

My husband has just received the supporting documents. There isn't an email from TLS yet but I suspected that the documents would be sent back before the email from TLS came, because that was what happened with demoore (whose timeline and posts I have been avidly following). They sent back almost all the documents, including the ones we had expected they would keep. What does that mean Could it be a sign of bad news? I am freaking out here. Please someone help: what did they send back?

Hello all. I am new to this thread and have been reading with interest all the posts. I am encouraged by the good news everyone has received, and even more so by the support I see everyone giving everyone else. I am a wife applying from Nigeria to join my husband. My husband and I have been on this journey for almost two years and are almost at the end. After much back and forth and heartache and disappointment (we have been on the verge of applying twice, only to find, after extra scrutiny, that we did not meet the requirements), we finally put the application in on the 28th of December. We have two young sons (the younger one is only 4 months old) and it pains me that their dad has been apart from the older one (1 and a half) all this while. I really hope we get the visa soon so we are back together. I am glad to find a forum of people who have been through similar things and know exactly how this feels. We paid for priority, so we have not been waiting that long, but still it feels like forever because we started this journey in February 2015. I Sorry for the long story. I just wanted to share my anxiety with kindred spirits. I do not think I have ever been so scared/excited/impatient/hopeful about any piece of news ever.
